Go and you must ask for Jamie as your server. His attitude is as perfect as the food. Careful she will slice and dice you if she's in a mood but she is always entertaining. The quintessential "c*nty" New York waiter attitude which I loved as much as the food. Look these girls Chach and Sharon put their heart and soul into the magic they create here--trust on that! Definitely worth the trip to pick up some amazing homemade Mexican food. Being from California, it's hard to get authentic Mexican out here and this is very close to the real thing! Chach's Mexican take out menu is terrific- huge portions, delicious high quality ingredients and great service. The squash/goat cheese empanadas were a hit, as were the chicken enchiladas and the carnitas plate. We also got a quart of margarita mix and picked up some tequila at the liquor store across the street. Fantastic little diner-ish place with a great, friendly vibe. Off the beaten track a bit (5-10 minute walk from the madness on Commercial St), but worth the trek. Portions tend to be pretty large, and the food is fresh and tasty. We were there a little bit later this weekend, and had lunch-- I had the turkey club and my partner had the pulled pork sandwich. This is a two party story. The food was delicious but moreover, the service staff, owner, chef are excellent humans. Ok my food was so simple but delicious. My over easy eggs, wheat toast, potatoes and chicken sausage were cooked to perfection. It was exactly what I needed. But the food is secondary to my story. I am staying in Wellfleet and had to run to CVS to pick up an Rx for my eyes. The traffic getting into PTown was insane. The main, two-way street was down to one lane because of a utility pole. By the time I got to CVS, I was so hungry. I sort of looped my way around and was looking for a place to eat. I basically stumbled upon this place. There was parking and so I pulled in. It was a really cute spot. As a breakfast place, They even had a bar although it was too early to imbibe. Well, not really but I was driving so I opted for coffee and water. They have tables and a counter seating. When dining solo I always opt for the counter. There was a man there, a very annoying man. He was complaining to the server about how exhausted he was and on and on. Then he turns to me and says, I am so upset. I did my best to ignore him but was impossible. He said, I am so upset about these shootings. I said, I don't want to talk about it with you. I went back to focus on my mobile hoping he would stop talking to me. No such luck. He then began to criticize a storage container that had día de los muertos skulls on them as decorations. He was going on and on how about how offensive it was to him. I tried to shut him down to explain the culture and history of how this is honoring relatives that have died before us. Here's the good part. The owners and waitresses noticed he left his dog in the car. It was a good 80+ degrees outside. They were very, very concerned for his dog. They were telling him, it's hot out there, it's not good for the dog. Please don't leave him in the car, they said. He fought with them about knowing his dog and that it would be fine. They did not relent on their defense of the dog. After much back and forth, THEY KICKED HIM OUT. They said, get out of here and don't ever come back. And, stop being so cruel to animals. Wow! I was so stunned. I mean, it was four or five staff including the owner. I was so, so proud of these people and THEN she said to me, I am sorry you had to witness this and said, your breakfast is on the HOUSE! What??? Really? I can't tell you how amazed and proud I was of them. I was kind of bumming on PTOWN becase of the traffic and about of the amount of visitors but after this experience I realize it's the people who live in a town that makes it great. I will always LOVE PTown because of the FABULOUS people who live there. Anyone who turns down business for the humane treatment of an animal will always live in my heart. Thank you, Chach. This place is so cute. My boyfriend and I ordered the Cuban Sandwich which was AMAZING. I love the fact that they cut their Cuban sandwich diagonally. It was a lot easier to eat and less messy. It was one of the best Cuban sandwich that I've had. We also ordered the French toast. It was pretty good, but we were so full by then that we couldn't really finish the French toast. The waiter was really nice and helpful as well. And the decor was very homey. There is also a decent size parking lot outside. The price was also extremely reasonable. Okay, I'm going to try and be nice about this, and not start ranting about our crappy experience here. My peach buckle muffin thingy was an excellent takeout breakfast, and the coffee was yummy. My man's english muffin with butter was fine. 2 stars for pleasant nourishment. BUT-- the waitstaff is SO surly here. Love it!!! My buddies and I were in the mood for brunch food when we arrived in pTown at 10a and found this spot because it opens early. Like one of the other reviews says, it is a little off of the main strip but it's less than a mile walk to get there. Definitely worth the walk if you want a good breakfast. On a Sunday morning there was a 15 minute wait - looked much more crowded when we left so plan ahead and don't come starving. The place itself is a small diner- cute, no thrills spot. The waitress we had was awesome and attentive and gave us a wonderfully warm welcome to the city. On to the food. I ordered the liguici (sp?) omelette which was sausage and cheese and our party ordered a French toast to share. The French toast was AWESOME. I didn't even need to put the butter and syrup on. Kind of a bread pudding- French toast vibe. If you do use the syrup, it is REAL maple syrup which is such a treat. The omelette was stuffed with plenty of cheese and sausage. Asked for the home potatoes well done (which they were) and the wheat toast it came with was legit and perfectly buttered. Make the trip here! read more

"Dreamy Blueberry Pancakes" I am not a morning person. I would much rather sleep in the morning and skip the breakfast thing so I guess I am more of a brunch person. However, being far from home and the six-hour time change I found myself up early and ready to eat on my first day of vacation here in Provincetown, HB loves his breakfast so it was off to Chach, one of his favorite spots. Early summer mornings can be a little chilly here on the capes so a cup of fresh hot coffee is for me a great start. Chach is a little diner located outside the Commercial St zone but is still within walking distance. The breakfast menu has a wide selection of traditional breakfast food and some very interesting special "brunch" items. This morning I had the Cod Cake Benedict and it was delicious, two good-sized cod cakes a top of English muffins with nice hollandaise sauce. But what interested me the most were HB's blueberry pancakes. Big fluffy pancakes loaded and I mean loaded with fresh blueberries were just heavenly and I could not resist, maybe I am dreaming... I love how "hidden" this place is. It's far away from the buzz of commercial street. But it's very walkable, probably 10 mins max from commercial st. It's really close to stop and shop. It's classic diner feel on the inside with the checkered floor and booth style seating. Of course we went there for brunch (my favorite!), and were seated right away. The waitstaff are very to the point, they get there work done with no frills so can't praise or complain on that point. I hear Chach's is well known for the legendary pancakes, which my party unfortunately didn't have any room for at the end of our meal but it's probably well worth a try if you are thinking about it. I got the Florentine Benedict, two pouched eggs on an english muffin with spinach topped with hollandaise sauce with a side of taters. My sister got the benedict to but with fried clams and we split. Both were really delicious and rich. If I had to say one thing I would say they might have been too generous with the hollandaise sauce. I would consider asking for it on the side next time. But overall great solid diner breakfast food with generous portions that will surely fill you up! Ditch the glamor of Commercial Street and check this place out for breakfast/brunch! read more

Not only is the eggs Benedict fantastic ( we had the tenderloin, the salmon and the cod cake / with the sweet rolls, but the French toast was amazing, and the side of buttermilk potato salad!! I am writing this review after having missed the PTown summer season for the first time since I was 7. I miss the people, the beach, the atmosphere, but sweet merciful lord, I miss the breakfast at Chach! While I don't blame them for my diabetes diagnosis, their French Toast definitely helped break my pancreas and y'all it's so good I don't care! The vibe here is perfectly happy and perfectly chill. Parking is the only negative. There are about 6 spots but folks double park so it works. We loved our inaugural visit today. Our waitress was a cheery beery. The staff in the kitchen appear to be having fun and the kitchen looks immaculate. The menu reveals some creative offerings suggesting a lot of love and thought went into all the details. Prices are P Town so be prepared but it's TOTALLY worth it. Loved my Huevos Rancheros. This place opened in 2005 and is my favorite restaurant in Ptown. I almost always have the french toast which is basically pan-fried bread pudding. It's so awesome! I've had their fried chicken salad, BLT, and burger. All of which fantastic and reasonably priced for a diner in Ptown during the summer. The other bonus this place has over Edwige (for example) is there's PARKING! Plus, this place is really cute. The diner counter area also has 3 tables set up with teacups and saucers, placemats and gingham table clothes. The main dining room is all booths with red vinyl seats and 50's style tables. The service is warm and friendly though don't expect too much if you come on a Sunday and the restaurant is totally slammed with church-goers. The diner isn't very big so the place can fill up fast!
