Last night was my first time ordering at Chada Thai. We ordered delivery and the order taker said it would take about an hour to get to my house (which is a little too long in my book). Anyway, the food arrived in about an hour AND A HALF. But that's not what really irked me. We ordered beef pad thai and beef pad see ew. For both orders the noodles were stuck together like they had been cooked quite some time ago and left alone. When i stuck my fork in the noodles the whole thing lifted up like a big block. The taste was also a bit weird to me. I've had a lot of pad thai and none of them have tasted like this. Not sure what the flavor is but it's weird to me. Maybe the food is better when you sit down. To me, however, the quality of food shouldn't be less just because we ordered delivery. At any rate, I probably will never order from Chada Thai again. read more

The food is pretty good, but the service is terrible. It's never that busy whenever I come by so I don't understand why the lady that takes my order each time I come here is always rude or has a bad attitude. There was a time I paid with my card, and left a cash tip on the table which she didn't see. She furiously asked "No tip?!" Excuse me??? I left your tip in CASH on the table, and you didn't even deserve the 20% tip. Yes, I understand it gets frustrating when customers don't leave a tip, but you don't ask your customers to tip you. read more

For me, this place checks the boxes. I love red curry, and there are only a handful of places in the general area that do it for me. The sauce, the selection of vegetables and the quality of meat all meet my expectations. I live in Mukilteo and drive out of my way to pick up this food. Add to that the kind employees and quality service, and you can't miss. I'm picky about my curry. If you're picky about your favorite Thai dish, then try Chada. I never liked Pad Thai until coming here the woman as soon as I finish my order here says "for Joe?" And it puts a smile on my face everytime I've had a few other dishes like the pineapple fried rice and some fried chicken dishes and it's always above my expectations. I swore off Pad this until a friend made me try it. I can handle spicy and the 3* is tough to get through but so worth it because it packs extra flavor lacking in the 2* only know one person who has handled the 5*. When you dine in they have lemon in the water and always keep my cup full to deal with the spiciness. I literally never go to any other Thai restaurants despite no longer living nearby and go whenever I get the chance. I've taken a bunch of different people who all loved it. This is one of my top 5 places I've eaten! read more

Super yummy thai food! We love the mini spring rolls, pahd thai, and drunken noodle. Especially love the crispy garlic chicken. We order for pick up a majority of the time and it never takes more than 20 minutes. 4 stars because the pahd thai isn't always consisten in flavor. The Pad Thai is great. However, it is very very spicy. I got 2 stars and it was more like a 5. So spicy I needed a lot of milk in order to eat it. I would recommend getting a lower star level, especially if you do not like your food that spicy! All in all, I would definitely go back, but I would get 1 star or even 0. I took my Mom here to eat a few days ago as it's in the neighborhood and was a place where I could get a tofu (vegan) option and she could get chicken. We both had Pad Thai. We chose our own seating and the waitress brought our menus and came back shortly thereafter with cool lemon water and took our order. We both enjoyed our food and made a point of getting a takeout menu so we could order and pick up next time. Can't wait to try some other items from their menu. So, as my super-amazingly-awesome roommate (who also introduced me to the Yelp world btw) knows, I love, Love, LOVE Thai food! Seriously. I mean it. I work in the very north end of Seattle which is how I found Chada Thai, an unassuming little joint in basically a strip mall. It's not the fanciest or flashiest place, but I have often found that some of the best food comes from the most unassuming places and am so glad I gave it a try. While I have read some of the mixed reviews, I have to say that I have been here many times and really enjoy this little restaurant. The family that owns it is very sweet and will remember your order if you have been there a few times. It's not somewhere I usually head to if I'm feeling fancy and looking for ambience, but for good reasonably-priced Thai food (with a respectable spice level) Chada Thai is a standby for me. For some reason I can't identify, this place is not my favorite for the phad thai, but my coworkers really enjoy it so I'm not sure what my problem is. However, I have had the red curry, phad see ew, rad na, swimming rama, phad kee mao, tom kha gai, green curry, basil chicken, phad ka na, spring rolls and thoroughly enjoyed them all - the tom kha gai soup is an amazing giant bowl of deliciousness! While I'm not usually a dessert person, they recently added sticky rice and mango to the menu and it was perfectly ripe and wonderful. read more

BAD ATTITUDE AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I've never wrote a yelp review until now. I've been a loyal patron of Chada Thai for about 6 months.The owner and waitress is never really polite but I've ignored her obvious attitude for the sake of good food. For the first time I took an associate there for lunch yesterday; she ordered a Thai coffee that was unusually bitter and asked if she could swap it for a Thai Tea instead. We just spent $50 dollars on food but the owner refused to make her a new drink (which would have cost .30 cents to make)! She argued with my colleague and said it was her fault that she didn't like the drink! She proceeded to argue with her, and mock her as she turned her back on her while she was talking and walked back into the kitchen. Shocked, and embarrassed that I recommended a place that would treat clients so poorly, I was speechless and didn't say a thing. Not wanting to add to the very hostile attitude the lady was giving us, I just paid and walked out. I later called to speak to the owner and let her know how my friend was treated (to my surprise she was the owner), she pretty much reprimanded me on the phone and continued to argue with me, ending the call saying she's busy and didn't have time to listen to me. I never once raised my voice or became disrespectful, in fact I tried to still be very polite... but the complete RUDENESS and disregard for customer service has put this restaurant on my "never go back list". I do not need her Thai food that bad! I would much rather go to Thai Siam down the street and get better food/ environment and support someone who actually cares. I'm really honestly sad to be giving this place two stars, but after what I experienced, I can't let it go unsaid. This place is close to home, and I've been going here for years. Not only has the quality in the food gone downhill, the service is even worse. The staff, the main lady who works here in particular is flat out rude. My boyfriend came here during his lunch for work, he repairs sewers and he was wearing his work boots. They don't have a mat at the front door or anything, so when he came in, a little bit of dirt came off onto the floor. The lady came up sweeping and scolding him telling him to take his shoes off outside before he came in. Not only that there was a teenage duo that ordered the crispy garlic chicken and when they bit into it, it hurt their mouth, the same lady that was so rude to my boyfriend told them "never order it again if you hate it". They didn't hate it, they tried explaining they come there all the time and it was never like this and she just repeated herself. Unfriendly service, rude to customers and cannot take criticism. I honestly used to really like this place, but I don't think anyone should run a business like this. Literally no smiles, no thank yous' or have a nice day. I won't be giving them my business anymore, when I go out I like to feel like a welcomed guest, but you won't get that here, at least not anymore :( read more

This is our neighborhood Thai place, and after being Thai-deprived for many years we think it's very good. We get take-out from here about once a week. The chicken satay skewers are moist and flavorful and the pud thai is delicious (even if it looks a little bland in color). The medium spice is pretty hot to us, though in a good way. My favorite neighborhood Thai place. First off, the food is delicious. I have tried everything on the menu and it is all good. My favorites are the beef pad see ew, the crispy garlic chicken, and my wife likes the cashew chicken, and pineapple fried rice. It gets busy so I like to order take out. And the heat star system is very hot. I can handle heat, but the 3 star humbled me. The owners/staff treat me like family. This place is great! Eat here! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. I have been going here for years and won't be going to any Thai place anytime soon. They are a bit expensive but the portions are in line with the pricing. I always get food to go because I am usually on my way home from somewhere and pick up food. There will be enough food for me to eat leftovers once or twice, so basically 2-3 servings depending on how much you eat. The Pad See Ew is delicious and no one makes it as well as they do here. The Pad Thai is also delicious and packed with flavors. I also recommend getting a Thai ice tea if you like them because they make theirs really well. This is a place that will know your order after you've been in a few times. It's fun to order 'the usual' from the terrifically friendly 'So What' ( a phoenetic interpretation of the owner's name) famous for his smile and 'No problem!' response to almost any request. For years, I was partial to the beef curry and the fab satay. We drop in here on occasion still, even though we have a neighborhood Thai place closer to home. Moved to Seattle almost 2 years ago and never really found a great Thai place that's reasonably priced. I have to admit that I was a bit sketched out considering the location of the restaurant, but it was suprisingly good. The little boy/host is a riot and always makes me laugh. The staff always seems to remember everyone that comes in. Several times, they've asked us if we want our "regular" order. I gotta say...the coconut milk/lemongrass soup is fantastic - well flavored, spicy and with just a little hint of sweetness. The green curry is also fantastic. There have been times that I've taken my spoon and eaten the leftover curry even after all the meat and veggies are gone. It's that tasty. I've gone to other Thai places with comparable prices. Chada Thai is the only one that I've gone back to. read more

Only done take outs here, but the food was always ready at the time promised. The crispy garlic chicken (okay, maybe not much chicken and mostly just batter) is delicious. The curry (even the seafood version) and the noodle dishes are all good too. The spicy level may be a tad higher than other places, but come on, it's Thai food! The woman behind the rectangular hole may seem standoffish, but she's just trying to make sure everything is right and you have a good experience, and I appreciate her effort and focus. My boyfriend and I love food and could easily be considered food critics. I initially signed up for a yelp acount to talk about this place and how much i love it. Like others have said, don't be fooled by the looks of it from the outside or the first impression of the lady that works there..she dosn't come off as very friendly but I asure that isn't the case. She is an extremely hard working woman and in a matter of two visits she already had my order memorized. Shes just a little reserved is all. Our waitress was initially unpleasant and the service got worse from there. She seemed irritable while we were ordering and acted put out when we ordered rice after our food arrived. We ordered pad thai with 2 stars. When it arrived it was very spicy. Much more so than I have ever had anywhere else and my mouth was burning. We brought this to the attention of the server. She said we were expecting "American 2 stars" and she served us "thai 2 stars." Honestly, I don't think she realized how spicy it was. She continued to argue and blame us for not liking it. She refused to remake it with 0 stars. She offered more peanut sauce to make what we had more palatable. We did eat the chicken fried rice and tofu swimming rama. That food tasted good. We finished all but the inedible fire spiced pad thai. The waitress offered us a box for the pad tai, which we declined. In the end she charged us $5 for the pad tai, which is a little less than half off. In the end we were very displeased with the customer service and will not ever return. read more
