Ambience is 100/10!! It feels like you're somewhere in Kyoto. It is quaint and zen. Got the Matcha latte and it was pretty pricy but the quality was there. Chafinity is located at the CAMP, next to East Borough. Depending on the time and the day, parking can be tricky.

One of the few reasons I would ever brave parking at CAMP would be for this place. Parking can be a hit or miss depending on the time of day you go. But this place is like walking into another world. 10/10 on vibes. Such a chill place. I got the matcha latte and my friend got the hajibi latte. Drinks were good and it is such a nice place to relax and catch up with friends. I highly recommend this place!

Really cool and chill spot. The shared parking space is limited with the amount of crowds visiting. Most of the seats were shaded but some seats were right under the SoCal sun. This tea has great customer service. The line moved fairly quickly. The dessert and tea were served in a timely manner. You will see their baristas brushing the matcha powders. The selections of matcha could be confusing for the first time. But the server will explain with patience. The order came quickly. Their ice cream dessert was delicious with soft mocha like with red bean and vanilla ice cream sprinkled with matcha powder. The milk and matcha was smooth. The price is a bit high, but you pay for the quality. It was enjoyable overall. Will visit again. This place gets a 4.6 out of 5.

I visited Chafinity today an had a mixed experience overall. It is located in the Camp shopping center. They serve matcha drinks. Food: We ordered two matcha lattes to share. The matcha latte tasted fresh and delicious. However, it was a bit expensive for the size. Service: We got the drinks relatively quickly during a busy time. Ambiance: The decor outside is very nice. They have a cool fountain outside. However, the seating is very limited. I recommend coming here early, if you want to find a place to sit.

From the pictures this place looks amazing. Modeled from a village in Japan, this quaint matcha tea house is for real. Located in the Camp, the location is amazing. There are lots of fountains, trees, flowers and wood. It is a. magical place, that is if you can find a seat. I waited in line, a very nice young lady helped me decide what to get. We ordered Matcha Lattes. Fortune was with us, for we found a nice table to sit at and enjoy our matcha lattes. The lattes were great. The environment is amazing. The price is more than what we expected, and the seats were hard to find.

Finally got to try out this tea house after hearing so many good things! I got the matcha latte with their house made coco almond milk and half sweet with honey. I think my order was absolutely perfect. Super strong matcha, right amount of sweetness, and the most perfect shade of green. I also got to try the matcha latte but half sweet with maple. It was great as well, just a tad sweet for me. If I were to get maple I would do a fourth sweet. I love how they pour the matcha right in front of you, it makes for the most aesthetic video. Amazing service as well, as the person taking our order gave us great recommendations.

Adorable aesthetic which felt like I was transported to a garden in Japan. MOCHI was incredibley gooey and sticky while not being too sweet with all the flavors coming through really well. I actually liked the hochija and strawberry topped mochi flavors. Matcha was good and MILK options were very elaborate which I appreciated. I got an unsweetened hot soy matcha latte. They only have two sweetener options which I opt out of anyway. The premium matcha was $14 for a 12 oz which was insane. For that price point I was expecting the best matcha I have ever had which was not the case. But it was good and they seemed to be very precise and consistent with their ratio and quality. I appreciated the service knowing the exact grams in each beverage with their little scale visible in the window for observing the matcha making process. They definitely didn't skip on the details. I would go as a one time NOVELTY experience but not a go to for me as it was too expensive for what it was.

3.5/5 I love the peaceful vibe and it's truly a cute area to sip on some matcha. It gives a zen experience and it's a nice escape from the stress outside. Some of the tables are taken up by other people just hanging out at the camp so it might be hard to find a table. BUT I would most likely not come here again. The matcha wasn't anything crazy, and we paid $45 for two people. The wagashi we got was limited on the menu and it was $14... it was mochi with red bean. The matcha wasn't bad, but it tasted like the ones I make at home and seemed a little crazy to be $10. I do appreciate that they source their matcha from farms in Japan.

I'm sure their quality of matcha is good, but it wasn't my kind of taste. I like my drink sweet but it was more bland and earthy. I got the premium and i don't think it was worth $18 with their house cream. I was told it was sweet but it was not. They don't have WiFi and seatings are limited. Really had high hopes for this spot but it was eh. Maybe I went at a wrong time since they have a high rating

    Chinh N.

Nice concept. Outdoor seatings but difficult since there's limited tables. Inside of the camp. Parking can be horrendous. There's usually a line-you can see them making your match through a glass window. Price is slightly higher than other tea/matcha places. The matcha was lacking for me-we got the $14 premium match and $10 matcha latte (iced). Could taste the match - the milk was overwhelming. The yuzu mochi was decent but overall I would skip this place altogether unless I'd happen to be in the shopping center.

Black Sesame Mochi & Piccolo Matcha Latte The gentle chimes that play, while the owner makes the martcha's and hojicha's. I love how you walk into the tea shop and all the shops disappear. Then you can choose to sit by the waterscapes or within the trees in the tea shop. Arigato

I've been going to Chafinity since they had a booth at the Irvine Mariners Famers Market and was SO excited when I heard they were opening a tea house! I've been coming here for months, and it is easily my favorite matcha place of all time. Not only is the ambience of the tea house amazing in itself being outdoors with beautiful greenery, fountain, incense, and soothing/calming music... the tea itself is unmatched in taste, preparation, and intentionality. I love Chafinity's mission of honoring traditional Japanese matcha preparation, as well as also serving sencha and other loose leaf teas. They do not compromise on their values whatsoever to hop on current drink trends... they serve delicious hot matcha lattes with high quality matcha from Kagoshima, Japan and have a close relationship with the farmers who harvest the tea. My go-tos are the hot hojicha and hot matcha lattes served unsweetened with their delicious homemade walnut milk. Not only do their lattes honor the true, authentic flavor of the teas, but the walnut milk in itself is delicious and naturally sweetened with dates and is unlike any other nut milks I've ever tasted. I also am a regular customer of their premium Gokoro matcha powder which I prepare at home myself. This matcha is honestly the best matcha I've tasted compared to other matchas I've tried all over California, and even in New York (I'm a self-proclaimed matcha snob and have very high standards for matcha flavor!). Not to mention to mention the amazing businesses they collaborate with that prepare their mochi and wagashi (Japanese sweets)! I am a big fan of their strawberry daifuku (which I always order with my drink), created by Hanaichi Mochi, and also love trying the gorgeous seasonal Wagashi creations made by WaSweets. If you want to drink delicious traditional Japanese matcha (while also honoring the farmers who have worked so hard to cultivate the tea), I cannot recommend Chafinity enough!! I am a forever customer!!

Chafinity is such a cute little matcha spot at The CAMP! The space itself is peaceful and aesthetic, with lots of greenery around, which makes it a really nice place to sit, chill, and catch up with a friend. I tried the piccolo matcha, and while I liked the presentation and overall vibe, I do wish the matcha flavor was stronger. It was a little milkier than I personally prefer, so I'd definitely recommend adding sugar if you like your drinks a bit sweeter. Overall, the matcha was okay, but the atmosphere is what really stood out to me. It's a nice spot if you're looking for a calm little place to hang out, especially if you're already at The CAMP.

I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form.
