It's a good spot to get desserts and matcha, their dining experience is super cute with the trays. The matcha is on the pricier side and the cups are smaller, I believe it was a 12 oz for the matcha latte and 8 oz for the piccolo. The matcha was lighter in flavor, I was expecting it to be stronger but it's good for people that don't like the grassiness of matcha. We wanted to see what the hype was about and boy did it meet my expectations! The space feels very inviting, peaceful, and zen. I could stay there forever but I didn't want to hog up the limited seating area and they were closing up for the day. I really enjoyed my iced matcha latte, unsweetened, with their oat and koji rice blend milk ($9, which felt a bit steep but hey, support your small businesses!). My partner loves hojicha tea and enjoyed the sweetness in the latte. My traditional matcha was delicious very rich which is how I enjoy it. The vibe was very nice, relaxing, and mellow. The staff here is very friendly and the matcha has the perfect ratio! Considering how busy it was, they work quick and we got our drinks within 2 minutes since we ordered. Usually matcha spots make the drinks too sweet, watery, or have overly complicated flavors. Here they focus on traditional and quality matcha. Personally I preferred the 8oz for a stronger matcha taste. They also have sweetened nut milks so there is no need for extra sweetner. It's nice that they do have syrup bottles by the pickup window to add to your liking if needed. Definitely a top matcha spot in my book since they don't over complicate the drink. I ordered a house matcha latte, a strawberry daifuku mochi, and a matcha yuzu sparkling. It's not as busy as it was when it first opened. I went on a Thursday at 10am and there was no line and only a handful of people. Closer to lunch it was getting busier but that's also because of the other places to eat in Camp. Hands-down this is the best Matcha I have ever had and this is coming from somebody who has tried almost every Matcha place in Orange County. It is expensive but for the quality of Matcha I don't feel like it is overpriced. I really appreciate the house made nondairy milk options that don't contain gums or oils. I will definitely return! I asked for help picking a tea that was pregnancy safe. The girl had no idea how to help me. So she googled it she then recommended all the loose leaf teas, which didn't help. I said if there was one that was more fruity and floral I would like that. She ended up charging me $15 for a small cup of hot tea. It was the worst tea I've ever had in my life. I couldn't believe what a rip off it was. When I opened the lid to try and add some honey to salvage the tea, there was a lot of white specks floating on the top. I don't think the tea was handled properly. Also, no amount of honey could save that tea. In addition, all the chairs had water on them so you couldn't sit down unless you wiped them down yourself. I got the matcha picollo with their house made walnut milk and I loved it!! The picollo has less milk than the latte, so the matcha flavor is stronger. They have a bunch of house made milks (almond, walnut, coco almond)which are made with dates. it was naturally sweet and I didn't need to add any extra sweetener, but they do have sweetener off to the side if you want to add any. I've never had to ask for a refund in my life until this place. My girlfriend and I waited FIFTY minutes total... for a SINGLE drink and a mochi strawberry! Which was absolutely absurd... They said it would be about 20 minutes, which would've been completely fine, but they kept pushing our order back further and further as other people got their orders that were in line behind us first. She got a matcha latte with oat milk that literally just tasted like a cup of oat milk with absolutely no matcha taste in it. Honestly we could have had them just remake it, but I wasn't going to risk having to wait another 30 minutes. The staff was very nice, especially the lady at the front. I felt bad because I've never had to complain before but it was just ridiculous. It wasn't her fault but the management there needs to get it together. There's way too many people and not enough seats. Maybe put a kiosk outside with a waitlist or SOMETHING, anything would be better then how they have it.
