Best cream top in OC? I said what I said We got the guava matcha latte and sesame cloudy hojicha. Not to mention how perfectly the cream top complemented the hojicha drink. Their matcha is so good too the bitterness is really there in the best way. Only downside: we got there around 9:30 and they opened at 8:30, but there were only a couple sandwiches left so come early if you want food too! MOri's is so close to UCI in Irvine, so save this for your next cafe run!

The quality of the matcha is really good and creamy. The hojicha was also delicious. The space is pretty small and not located in an easily accessible area so I took off a few points for that. The waitstaff didn't greet when we entered and the self order machine was to the side of the entry so it was a little confusing on how we should order. It was an okay experience. Not bad, but not great either.

Yummy Taro Matcha! Swung by UCI and stopped at this spot on the way back home. Not too sweet which I like, only issue is the taro was stuck to the sides of the cup! I used a spoon to scrape the rest of it once I was done with my drink. Service was friendly and my drink was ready super quick. Outside seating was nice, although in the middle of some apartments or something. Just make sure to park in the structure, there's a lot more parking and it's free!

MORIS @ IRVINE The crème brûlée swirl was AMAZING. My friends also enjoyed their more traditional matchas, noting that it wasn't super bitter. The drinks came out with really fast after ordering; however, not that much space if you come with a group.

Mori's is a cute place for small hangouts or just to stop by for a quick drink. I got the banana cream hojicha. I was really excited to try their new series as I saw so many people try out their matcha. I always love a good hojicha latte, I wouldn't say the banana flavoring is too strong compared to other banana drinks I've ordered in the past. I also like it when the hojicha has a stronger roasted flavor, and I didn't feel like I got it as much. However, my drink was still really good, and I'd definitely come back to try their other drinks. Service was limited and got my drink out somewhat quickly as it was busy the night I went. Warning : there's little parking available around the area so I wouldn't try to plan to sit down anywhere or stay for such a long time

Pretty quick place. They have a good take around the banana matcha and it's very good. It certainly meets expectations and I love the banana chip they add on top. Cold brew was good as well.

I see this place a lot and my friend and I were enticed by the menu so we came inside to order. It's a small quaint shop with a wide variety of food and drinks. I ordered the taro fresh milk and my friend ordered the house cold brew. I've tried many taro drinks and this was probably the worst one. It just tasted like milk but had the texture of coconut shavings. I attempted to mix everything on my drive, but it was all clumped at the bottom so I couldn't mix it until I got home. Even then it still wasn't good. I'm not sure if that's just how they handcraft their ube/taro but I personally was not a fan. For my friend, she said her house cold brew was alright, not too strong. Now that might have just been our experience so if you want to try for yourself, please do, but I will not be returning here personally.

Love this spot for matcha! They have a great selection of drinks and food items. You can choose your level of matcha strength as well how sweet. They have a kiosk as well as cashier to order and the drinks come out super quick. Not much seating but there is ample parking. Small but cute vibes.

I really enjoyed the banana cream hojicha. The banana flavor was not too overpowering and wasn't artificial tasting at all. My fiance got the guava matcha and he really enjoyed it. Their drinks are not super sweet. There are a bunch of signs about how their sweetener is just naturally less sweet but was kind of confusing to understand. I definitely want to return for the hojicha but also to try some of their food.

I was fairly disappointed. They emphasized on their matcha but it wasn't even ceremonial. When we asked about the grade of their matcha, they didn't seem to know... The dessert was alright. Nothing spectacular. Appeared to be ideal for students to grab food and/drink and study.

The matcha drinks here are really strong so perfect for anyone who appreciates that true matcha flavor. I can't wait to try more of the drink menu besides the matcha double cream top I got. We also tried the spicy honey chicken which tasted light and healthy. I appreciated how many different veggies were in a single bowl. We parked in front in a 30 min spot. Food and drinks came out fast. Very limited but some seating

Funny enough, my partner and I saw a video of their matcha so we drove to try it! Their shop was very cute, tucked away by a few apartment buildings, making it a great place for an afternoon matcha. We saw a few people in there studying and some even relaxing with their pets! Their regular matcha had very good ceremonial matcha and was very high quality. I don't like my matcha too sweet and they made it exactly how I liked it. Their strawberry matcha latte was also very good! The standout for that drink was how delicious the strawberry puree is!

    * drinks are made using marukyu koyamaen matcha, artisan tea, house-roasted coffee, and handcrafted taro and ube paste * most drinks are made using lactose-free milk (free to switch to regular whole milk) * my go-to's are their Taro Matcha Fresh Milk, Assam Black Milk Tea, and Banana Hojicha Oat Latte * menu also has options for oriental herbal desserts, kale green juice, sandwiches, salads, soba noodles, and energy grain bowls * one of my favorite cafes for fresh and healthy grab-and-go meals and dessert! 8.5/10

However, I was skeptical because it's located in a big office building, but I was so pleasantly surprised. I ordered an iced decaf banana latte, which is the drink that drew me to this place, and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely my favorite iced banana latte! I love that they truly care about their craft. I initially ordered my drink with almond milk, but the barista highly recommended oat milk, as it would go better with my drink. She also showed me the best way to enjoy the coffee -- sip first before mixing. I'm in Irvine once a week, and more often than not, I'm grabbing a coffee from here on my way home. My go-to is the banana latte, but I decided to venture out and try their coconut latte recently and let me tell you... I might love that just as much, if not more, than my banana latte. My drinks here are always consistent -- delicious every time. The coffee is never overpowered by the flavor or milk. This makes me comfortable to try other drinks on their menu next time. Not only is the coffee shop great, but so is the building it is located in. The shop is found on the ground floor, straight ahead as you enter. The building offers so many seating areas and has such great lighting. If I lived closer, this would definitely be my go-to place to get some work or reading done. Parking has never been an issue for me, and they do offer validation that is good for 1 hour, I believe. Overall, no notes for Cassel. I absolutely love this place and will recommend them to anyone and everyone!
