Love this spot for matcha! They have a great selection of drinks and food items. You can choose your level of matcha strength as well how sweet. They have a kiosk as well as cashier to order and the drinks come out super quick. Not much seating but there is ample parking. Small but cute vibes.
I really enjoyed the banana cream hojicha. The banana flavor was not too overpowering and wasn't artificial tasting at all. My fiance got the guava matcha and he really enjoyed it. Their drinks are not super sweet. There are a bunch of signs about how their sweetener is just naturally less sweet but was kind of confusing to understand. I definitely want to return for the hojicha but also to try some of their food.

I was really excited to try their new series as I saw so many people try out their matcha. I always love a good hojicha latte, I wouldn't say the banana flavoring is too strong compared to other banana drinks I've ordered in the past. I also like it when the hojicha has a stronger roasted flavor, and I didn't feel like I got it as much. However, my drink was still really good, and I'd definitely come back to try their other drinks. Service was limited and got my drink out somewhat quickly as it was busy the night I went. Warning : there's little parking available around the area so I wouldn't try to plan to sit down anywhere or stay for such a long time
It's sad when you walk in a new place and your excited to try the matcha there and as you all know getting a coffee or matcha is becoming a treat with the prices now, I don't mind paying but not to be helped buy this young lady the receipt said lili not sure if that's her name not even a hi or welcome she looked mad didn't even look at me kept working I waited patiently until I noticed on the side I went to place the order she goes what can I get you I told her I'm sorry just noticed I can place the order my self she goes so what do you want I'm like ok she takes my order , when she called my number I took the drink and told her thank you and she ignored me I got in my car to see my drink was made wrong it's all ice not much matcha all that for $8 won't be going there again
I see this place a lot and my friend and I were enticed by the menu so we came inside to order. It's a small quaint shop with a wide variety of food and drinks. I ordered the taro fresh milk and my friend ordered the house cold brew. I've tried many taro drinks and this was probably the worst one. It just tasted like milk but had the texture of coconut shavings. I attempted to mix everything on my drive, but it was all clumped at the bottom so I couldn't mix it until I got home. Even then it still wasn't good. I'm not sure if that's just how they handcraft their ube/taro but I personally was not a fan. For my friend, she said her house cold brew was alright, not too strong. Now that might have just been our experience so if you want to try for yourself, please do, but I will not be returning here personally.
Been to Mori's a couple of times and have tried the cloudy matcha, double matcha, and yuzu matcha tonic. All are very good and my favorite so far is the cloudy matcha! I like that they use Marukuyu Koymaen as it is the matcha I use making my own drinks at home! Service is pretty quick, never longer than 2 or 3 minutes after ordering. There is very limited seating inside and some outdoor tables, so if it's busy it might be hard to find a spot to study or get work done. Most people seem to get their drinks and go though and when I came in on a Sunday morning I was able to find a spot and get my work done! Overall, I'll definitely be coming back again and trying more of their drinks especially since it's so close to UCI!
came here at opening for the hojicha latte. i like that they have lactose free milk options here! i got it extra creamy and at their recommended sweetness. given the color of the hojicha, i was expecting a very strong flavor but it was a little muted. i wish it had a bit more flavor but maybe it's also because i prefer a slightly sweeter hojicha. next time ill have to try it with a bit more sweetness. service was good, the girl was bombarded with a few orders at once but she was quick! inside has a couple of places to stand and wait for your drink but not really sit.
The matcha drinks here are really strong so perfect for anyone who appreciates that true matcha flavor. I can't wait to try more of the drink menu besides the matcha double cream top I got. We also tried the spicy honey chicken which tasted light and healthy. I appreciated how many different veggies were in a single bowl. We parked in front in a 30 min spot. Food and drinks came out fast. Very limited but some seating
Funny enough, my partner and I saw a video of their matcha so we drove to try it! Their shop was very cute, tucked away by a few apartment buildings, making it a great place for an afternoon matcha. We saw a few people in there studying and some even relaxing with their pets! Their regular matcha had very good ceremonial matcha and was very high quality. I don't like my matcha too sweet and they made it exactly how I liked it. Their strawberry matcha latte was also very good! The standout for that drink was how delicious the strawberry puree is!

Really good matcha! I got the banana cream matcha and creamy pistachio matcha. Both of them were really good and the quality of matcha is delicious. Their matcha has an earthy taste which I really like. There is a self check out kiosk on the left when you enter, which is easily missed if you don't see their signage. If I'm back in the area, I'd definitely visit Mori's again. read more

Yummy Taro Matcha! Swung by UCI and stopped at this spot on the way back home. Not too sweet which I like, only issue is the taro was stuck to the sides of the cup! I used a spoon to scrape the rest of it once I was done with my drink. Service was friendly and my drink was ready super quick. Outside seating was nice, although in the middle of some apartments or something. Just make sure to park in the structure, there's a lot more parking and it's free! read more

Very consistent with their matcha, even though it's already pre made it still taste fresh. I like how you can customize the sweetness level The girl working here recommended their new guava drink and it was so good. MORIS @ IRVINE The crème brûlée swirl was AMAZING. My friends also enjoyed their more traditional matchas, noting that it wasn't super bitter. The drinks came out with really fast after ordering; however, not that much space if you come with a group. read more

I was fairly disappointed. They emphasized on their matcha but it wasn't even ceremonial. When we asked about the grade of their matcha, they didn't seem to know... The dessert was alright. Nothing spectacular. Appeared to be ideal for students to grab food and/drink and study. read more

The Shizuoka banana cream matcha I ordered has a bitter taste on it while the double matcha was pretty good. Both are customized to 50% sweetness. Service is okay. There's some chairs inside and outside if you want to stay for a bit longer. read more

This place is more known for its food and now is leaning towards their drink menu. I happened to be in the area and wanted to give the matcha a try. They use Maru Koyamaen which is known for their high-quality matcha & lactose free milk without a charge. Already a plus in my books! The barista asked how strong I wanted my matcha and I chose "Rich" since it was the most popular. My drink had a beautiful rich green color that meets my matcha standards. Will be back to try the highest level of their matcha latte! read more

pretty unsuspecting cafe, I'd never heard of Mori's until a friend recommended it to me as her favorite matcha spot in Irvine. I ordered the Uji matcha latte, 75% sweet, with richness and oat milk. I was blown away! It was so simple but still hit all the right notes. It was light, mildly sweet (perfect balance where it's not overly sweet but also doesn't have the grassy taste), and yet still creamy. I loved this drink and would totally get it again. read more

Love this location for their coffee and tea menu. Kitchen opens at 10:30 so come later for kitchen items. Today I tried the cold brew with matcha cheese foam because I couldn't decide between matcha or coffee. Excellent idea. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

Love the matcha here!! They use marukyu koyamaen matcha and you can really taste the quality of the matcha powder they use. The workers here are super sweet and helpful and our drinks came out so fast. It's a pretty small shop but there are a few seats to sit and work. One downside is that there is no bathroom in the shop tho. read more
My friend and I stopped by to check out their matcha drinks. I ordered the pistachio matcha latte, which was creamy and lightly sweet, topped with toasted pistachios. Next time, I'd definitely ask for it a bit sweeter. Service was fast and friendly. Seating inside is limited, but there are extra tables available outside. Guest parking is conveniently located in the parking structure behind the building. read more

Crème brûlée 4/5 super yummy Taroberry matcha 3.5/5 Matcha flavor is good and smooth. The only downside is the straw!! Makes it hard to mix the drinks! But otherwise the interior is cute and comfortable and service was quick and efficient. read more

An amazing Matcha spot has taken over the location where a prominent kimbap place used to be, and to be honest, I'm really liking it! Situated in Avenue One is Mori's, a place recommended to me by a friend who is a Matcha connoisseur. In fact, when I walked in, I immediately saw the cans of matcha she prepares on the shelf! They definitely know what they are doing. A small place, there isn't much seating except for a raised bar, and a few chairs outside, but you can walk up a few feet and get to a shared patio for all the restaurants. I had the blueberry matcha, and wow. Flavor was on point. I did 100% sweetness just to gauge their levels, even though it was pointed out that 50% is normal... And 100% tastes a bit too sweet for me. I will have to try the 50% or 25% next time. There is food, but we did not order any (this was an after lunch destination!) The person who took our order was extremely sweet, and very helpful with recommendations. We'll be back. You can bet on it! read more

Mori's is the kind of coffee shop you instantly want to come back to. It's super cozy, really clean, and has the nicest staff. I tried their ceremonial matcha and loved that it's customizable. You can pick your milk and sweetness level which is perfect if you like your matcha a certain way. I also got their house coffee and it was smooth and rich with no bitterness. For food, I ordered the egg sandwich and the chicken caesar salad and both were delicious. The egg sandwich was fluffy and flavorful and the salad was super fresh with the perfect amount of dressing. It's such a relaxing spot to study, meet a friend, or just sit with a good drink. Definitely one of my new favorite finds near campus. read more

Honestly some of the best matcha you can get in OC! If you like your matcha strong, Mori's offers a ton of customization to their drinks, and you can order from a variety of different flavors (banana, guava, etc.) I get the Shizuoka matcha latte, extra rich, no ice and 25% sugar. Very high quality ingredients! Also, ordering is done on a kiosk, but you can order with the cashier if you want to. Highly recommend! read more
I've had Mori's on my list for a long time A 9:30am stop just never seemed prime So, today I did wait As to have a Mori's matcha fate The girl at the counter recommended the rich uji matcha (half-sweet, almond milk) and so that's what I got In the mood to make decisions, not The parking out front is for 30-minutes, luckily an open space Avoided the parking garage, insert happy face The shop is small in size with a scattering of seating inside and out The drink presentation was good, no doubt A sweetness sign with explanation seen The matcha color was vibrant green I didn't really love it, if we're keeping it real I think the grassy flavor profile just didn't win my palate's appeal I did consume it all and it does grow on you a little with each sip It wasn't overly sweet and still an interesting trip Many many people enjoy it here So, please don't let me deter you, it's still a place to steer Plus, I only tried one menu item, so... I really enjoyed this place. It's more of a grab and go drink and food stop. I wouldn't recommend working or studying here as there were only 2 small tables. They had a large selection of drinks and I would love to try their food or health drinks next time. We ordered the double matcha and strawberry matcha. They were both creamy and I liked that the strawberry flavor wasn't too overpowering. You can adjust sweetness too which is nice. read more

Location: Weird spot! Tucked away on a strip of stores inside of an apartment complex? I don't know how to explain it but had to walk a bit from parking. I believe they have rear parking but we didn't check it out. Food: Got the double matcha and uji matcha latte! They use lactose free milk in their drinks which is mad considerate for the sensitive tummy girlies. However, if you like a creamier matcha, you may not find it here because of that. You can choose richness for the uji matcha, and all matcha drinks lean towards unsweetened. I got 75% sweet and rich but if you like a a sweeter, more robust flavor I'd go more rich and 100%. Very smooth with nary an earthy grass flavor, which was a surprise with how deep the color was. Will be back to try food because it was presented so nice! Authentic and strong matcha! They advertise that they use high quality matcha from Japan, and I can tell the difference. I love strong matcha so I tried the uji matcha latte and paid extra for the extra rich version. After adding oat milk, my drink was almost $9, but it definitely was one of the strongest matchas I've had! I would recommend getting 75% sweetness, or 50% if you don't like things too sweet. They also sell food, and I definitely want to try their dishes next time! The location is a little hard to find, as it's located in the middle of an apartment complex, but there is a free parking structure right next to it. There is also outdoor seating around the whole area for a casual hangout. Staff was friendly and our drinks were made quickly! read more
