Megumi Cafe & Tea has a cozy vibe tucked in the corner of Bolsa Ave and Ward St plaza with an aromatic smell as soon as you enter their shop. Definitely a great place to chill, do some homework and listen to some good lofi music. They even have a small section of instant noodles to purchase if you get hungry which is convenient! DRINKS Earl Grey Hojicha Latte Floral aroma with roasted green tea. A comforting distinctive citrusy taste. If you're an Earl Grey fanatic, this is the drink for you! Blueberry Matcha Premium Matcha and fresh Blueberries. Naturally caffeinated with a dose of antioxidants. A perfect blend of earthy and fruity flavor! Quality drinks with a welcoming atmosphere. Great and patient customer service! If you're around the area and looking for some delicious Matcha, Megumi Cafe & Tea is the place for you. Whether you need a quick fix or need to do some homework, they've got you covered! Thanks to the team of Megumi Cafe & Tea for the tasty drinks, we'll be visiting again soon!

Megumi Cafe & Tea is the best cafe of all time!!! They have everything, from sugarcane juice to the most scrumptious teas. I come here so often, Gloria and the other workers know my order by heart . The ambiance is peaceful for when you want to sit around for some alone time or do work. They are so generous with their deals, sizes, fruit and store hours. I would recommend this spot to everyone I know. They deserve it all and more!

This review is 2 weeks old when they have the matcha promotion of B1G1 banana matcha and hojicha. My friend was praising this place so it was perfect opportunity to try. The place is small so limited seating but it has a cute decor. The person that take our order seems friendly. The drink however is lacking. The hojicha doesn't have a strong tea flavor. I feel like drinking a sweet milk drink. The banana matcha on the other hand was overtake by banana flavor instead of matcha. Overall, I wouldn't come back for those two drinks.

I recently visited this coffee shop on a Saturday around 11 a.m. The drinks were good, and I especially enjoyed the matcha. The quality of the beverages was definitely the highlight of the visit. However, the customer service could use some improvement. When we walked in, the employee behind the counter was sitting there and didn't greet us or acknowledge us when we entered. A simple "hello" or welcome would have made the experience feel much more inviting. Overall, the drinks were enjoyable, but better customer service and a friendlier atmosphere would make a big difference.

Drinks are really pricy compared to other boba shops and the service is a bit lackluster. However drinks come out quick and the ambiance inside is cute and classical music plays which is easy if you're studying or something. The sign outside is easy to miss bc it's just a banner but I think they're just really new. I got the earl grey matcha and it was pretty good!

    1. The drinks have actual fruit bits, and they are well-crafted! My favorite drink was the peach orange tea! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior is cozy! 3. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! It was ready after 5 mins! 4. There was only indoor seatings! There were few tables! 5. Parking lot has a lot of spots! Note: This spot does have their own restrooms! Photo: Blueberry Matcha and Peach Orange Tea

A little matcha and hojitcha shop that specializes in these two items with a limited menu. Variations of flavors that for the matcha and hojitcha. They also offered cold whisk for an extra 50 cents (Whisking the powder in cold milk first for a creamier texture). I never heard of this so we ordered one cold whisked earl gray matcha latte and one regular sea salt Hojitcha latte. Both drinks were really good! Great depth of flavor and extremely smooth. I couldn't tell much of a difference between cold whisked and regular (As far as texture), but I will say the cold whisked matcha was really good! The sea salt cream for the Hojitcha was super tasty (A little too sweet for my liking, but still good). This place is definitely worth a stop!

First time trying out this cafe and I'm seriously impressed! This cafe is located in a very unassuming plaza with other Vietnamese businesses. Parking is plentiful. The barista recommended the sea salt matcha (latte version with soy milk) which was delicious! I didn't have to adjust the sweetness and it was perfect. Matcha flavor was strong. The sea salt cream top paired perfectly with the matcha. The cafe is very cute inside and there is plenty of tables with seating, perfect for studying. There is free WIFI and outlets available as well. I'm definitely coming back to try the other matcha drinks! Customer service was good. Hidden gem for matcha for sure!

My friend told me about this new cafe that recently opened in Garden Grove area, so we decided to give it a try. Megumi Cafe & Tea located in the same plaza as Phở Thìn, but more towards the corner. I really like the vibe and atmosphere of the cafe. It is super cute with white tone and pretty lights and adorable decorations. It is medium size with tables and outlets, which make it a perfect spot to study and get work done. Their menu is pretty straightforward with matcha and hojicha options, as well as fruit teas. I think this is my first time going to a cafe that offer cold whisk option in the US. I got myself a Blueberry Matcha Cold Whisk instead of the regular latte. The cold whisk matcha is super creamy and high quality, which pair really well with the real fruit blueberry jam/puree. The service is super friendly and attentive. They will answer any questions you have with the menu! Def need to come back to try their Hojicha, as my friend loves it!

Not your typical coffee place. There's more emphasis on interesting matcha and tea here. My first thought on getting my strawberry matcha latte: oh baby! They put the strawberry in strawberry. I'm used to places skimping on the strawberry but this drink was heavy on the sweet strawberry. Decor was cute and clean overall. Workers were efficient and knowledgeable.

My bestie and I were craving an afternoon matcha or tea, after finishing a relaxing, one-hour massage. We visited Megumi and stopped at the sign posted in front of the building that read BOGO on their matcha and oolong iced drinks. Who doesn't appreciate a deal! My bestie got the iced Matcha, while i I got the iced Oolong. The drinks came out fairly quickly. Both of the drinks were delicious! The tea flavor was prominent and we had the barista adjust the sweetness by 50%, which made our drink's taste perfect. I would definitely like to return to Megumi and grab a drink or two again in the near future!

The banana matcha and banana hojicha were on BOGO for 2 days, which are both some of my favorite drinks. The employee was very friendly, and it was great to see her hand-mixing the matcha after my order. The space inside is decorated in nice neutrals with soothing background music playing. They also sell matcha tins and Owala botttles in-store. I will definitely back to try it out as a study/work spot.

Had to write another review after taking a sip of our drinks. Second time here, and I couldn't be happier! I got excited when I got their Buy 2, Get 1 Free text that I had to take advantage of it. This time I got the Banana Matcha, Earl Grey Matcha, and the new Jasmine Milk Tea Matcha. All with oat milk. Every drink was so well made. Just like I said in my last review, they're super smooth and full of flavor. Banana Matcha: Hands down the best banana matcha I've ever had. Neither the banana nor the matcha overpowers the other--they're perfectly balanced. The banana tastes so fresh, and it all comes together so well. Jasmine Milk Tea Matcha: I'm obsessed! It's the perfect combination of two of my favorite drinks. Earl Grey Matcha: I haven't tried it yet because it's still in the fridge, but I already know it's going to be amazing!

They've been consistently amazing ever since they opened, and somehow they've only gotten better over time. I honestly enjoy just about every drink on their menu, especially their seasonal specials. My all-time favorite has to be their 2026 Spring Earl Grey Matcha. I was getting it almost every week, and I was genuinely sad when they switched over to their summer menu. Thankfully, they kept the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha, because wow... what a flavor explosion. It's easily one of the best matcha drinks I've ever had, and my friend and I keep coming back just for it. I know it sounds a little adventurous, because it did to me, but when I tried it, it genuinely changed my life (kidding). If mango isn't your thing, I highly recommend either the Double Matcha or the Banana Matcha. The Double Matcha is perfect if you love a strong matcha flavor; you can really taste the quality of the matcha they use. As for the Banana Matcha, I normally don't gravitate toward banana drinks, but SIP completely changed my mind. They use what tastes like a banana pudding instead of artificial banana flavoring, and it blends so smoothly with the matcha that every sip feels balanced and indulgent. The café itself is just as charming as the drinks. The wood paneling gives the space a cozy, retro vibe that makes you want to stay a while, and the staff is always incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming.

Now the MATCHA I looooved their matcha with the Earl Grey foam top. OMG... it was phenomenal!! The matcha was earthy, umami, and so well balanced, and the hint of Earl Grey in the foam complemented it perfectly without overpowering the matcha. Such a good combination! I will 100% be coming back for this one!

If you don't mind walking a little, parking is fine. Inside, there was plenty of seating, and even though it was noisy, it is still a popular place to work or study with good lighting. There were lots of people on laptops, and some outlets along the walls for charging. I tried the Sweet Corn Latte and the Pistachio Matcha Latte. The Sweet Corn Latte was aptly named. It was sweet, and the foam on top had a surprisingly authentic corn flavor. I also liked that they offer a decaf version, which isn't something every specialty coffee shop has. The Pistachio Matcha Latte was smoother and more subtle. The pistachio wasn't very strong, but it complemented the matcha nicely. If you enjoy matcha and don't want something overly sweet, it's a good choice. We also ordered the Popcorn Chicken, which ended up being one of the highlights. It was well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and still tender inside. Definitely one of the better popcorn chickens I have had. Overall, this is a solid café with creative drinks, good food, and enough space to settle in for a while. I'll definitely be back.

The business has a few tables outside and a good amount of seating inside as well. I ordered a Ube Cream Coffee - Saigon Style ($5.50). Yummmm!! I love how strong but creamy and delicious this coffee is. I'm hooked! I am Vietnamese and I approve of this cup of coffee. While I was there I saw their glorious casing of pastries and I couldn't resist. I ordered and enjoyed: 2 Garlic Bread ($5.35/each), Chocolate Croissant ($6.60), Almond Croissant ($6.85), Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread ($4.75) and 2 Macarons ($3.20). Their pastries are fantastic. My boyfriend doesn't enjoy sweets as much as I do so that garlic bread was good for it. The croissants were really flakey and flavorful. I enjoyed the bread. For the macarons I was given a third one as a thanks for all the items I orders and I liked all 3. Yum! Wish I could come back to support the business, especially with their incredible coffee, but I was told that they will be closing on 7/31/26. I'm so sad I didn't discover them sooner. I wish them all the best and hope they re-open in the future.
