They have a few designated parking space in front. They have matcha, Hojicha, sugar cane, and fruit tea. They said banana matcha is the most popular. I ended up getting Earl Gray Matcha. The Earlgray was noticeable, the matcha, not so much. Supposed to be creamy matcha vibe. When it did, it had the bitter grassy taste which I'm okay because I can drink it straight so it's not for everyone. It's not the best I've had and instantly regret that I didn't order Hojicha. I am a little surprised this spot isn't busier because the quality and taste are certainly there. Granted, I have only gone during the weekdays. The Hojicha series keeps me coming back. Hojicha is new to me and I love it here. They have a cold whisk option where oat milk is hand whisked for the drink. The mouthfeel is very different, in a good way. I recently visited this coffee shop on a Saturday around 11 a.m. The drinks were good, and I especially enjoyed the matcha. The quality of the beverages was definitely the highlight of the visit. However, the customer service could use some improvement. When we walked in, the employee behind the counter was sitting there and didn't greet us or acknowledge us when we entered. A simple "hello" or welcome would have made the experience feel much more inviting. A little matcha and hojitcha shop that specializes in these two items with a limited menu. Variations of flavors that for the matcha and hojitcha. They also offered cold whisk for an extra 50 cents (Whisking the powder in cold milk first for a creamier texture). I never heard of this so we ordered one cold whisked earl gray matcha latte and one regular sea salt Hojitcha latte. Both drinks were really good! Great depth of flavor and extremely smooth. I couldn't tell much of a difference between cold whisked and regular (As far as texture), but I will say the cold whisked matcha was really good! My friend told me about this new cafe that recently opened in Garden Grove area, so we decided to give it a try. Megumi Cafe & Tea located in the same plaza as Phở Thìn, but more towards the corner. I really like the vibe and atmosphere of the cafe. It is super cute with white tone and pretty lights and adorable decorations. It is medium size with tables and outlets, which make it a perfect spot to study and get work done. Their menu is pretty straightforward with matcha and hojicha options, as well as fruit teas. I think this is my first time going to a cafe that offer cold whisk option in the US. I got myself a Blueberry Matcha Cold Whisk instead of the regular latte. The cold whisk matcha is super creamy and high quality, which pair really well with the real fruit blueberry jam/puree. The service is super friendly and attentive. First time trying out this cafe and I'm seriously impressed! This cafe is located in a very unassuming plaza with other Vietnamese businesses. Parking is plentiful. The barista recommended the sea salt matcha (latte version with soy milk) which was delicious! I didn't have to adjust the sweetness and it was perfect. Matcha flavor was strong. The sea salt cream top paired perfectly with the matcha. The cafe is very cute inside and there is plenty of tables with seating, perfect for studying. So I had to try @megumicafe.tea in Westminster bc I found out it was formerly Hope Cafe from the Homemade Food Group on FB. Uh, my favorite boba shop during lockdown?! I'm going!!! Strawberry Machiato: It had real big strawberry chunks which was hard on my small straw. Opt for the big boba straws next time. It tasted so real, not a hint of artificial flavor. 9/10 Blueberry Matcha: The blueberry jam was also big and chunky. It seems like they use dehydrated fruit bc the blueberries got plumper as they sat in my drink. The matcha was solid. 8/10 Hojicha latte: I loved the Hojicha flavor in this drink. So strong but well balanced, I couldn't have asked for a better one. 10/10! This is located in a strip mall but I had no problems finding parking. It's a small place but had 5-6 tables to work or chill. Service was amazing! I broke a vase while there ( I'm so sorry) and nobody batted an eye. Tried this place on a whim on a day off. OMG it's sooooo good! I don't remember the last time I had such a good matcha. Usually, most places, the matcha comes off either really bitter or gives me a stomachache after. My favorite is the mango matcha with cold whisk (which is where the whisk the matcha with oat milk instead of water) and the matcha comes out super creamy and smooth. New matcha unlocked! If you like creamy matcha their whole cold whisked matcha menu is delicious. My favorites are the regular matcha and early grey matcha. Their fruit matcha definitely has real fruit chunks and it's not just syrup. So if you don't like chunks in your drink I wouldn't recommend it. I personally don't mind it. The staff is very friendly and have had no issues trying to find parking in the big lot.
