I was brought to this place by my brother in law claiming they served the best tortas ahogadas and those were ok (I'm very picky) but the tacos de papa with carnitas are bomb! So delicious, the fried potato tacos are so yummy. They serve very generous portions of meat, that go with the sauce, cabbage and onions. I have ordered to-go during this pandemic time couple of times, but this Wednesday I decided to eat at their outdoor seating since there wasn't many people. Tables were distanced and staff wore mask. I felt safe eating there and the server was very polite and attentive. I have been to this place for years now and I always arrive with outside food for my kids and there is never a problem but all of sudden one of the girls came to tell me said if I wanted to eat inside I couldnt bring my kids Mcdonalds inside. I explained to her its not the first time I come in and there is never a problem. These tortas ahogadas are definitely the best ones and spiciest ones I've had! The hard tacos de papa are also great! The best thing is the hot sauce. Compared to many places who say their "ahogada" is actually spicy which aren't. This place actually has a kick in the spice. The bread which doesn't get soggy is tasty. Came here for the first time because my father said it was delicious, but now I know he has bad taste. The torta was not edible. I attempted to eat the torta ahogado and I needed a knife for sure. After the steak knife failed to scratch the surface of the bread I was in disbelief. The bread is full of juice and still is this hard, this had to be a rock. If you read this and are still going to attempt to try this place then please bring a chainsaw and make sure you have dental insurance. 2nd time trying a torta hogada and this place knocked it out of the park. They have 3 types of spiciness. The hottest one my husband couldn't finish, I got the mild and it was spicy enough for me but very very delicious. The waitresses are attentive very nice and helpful. First time to this location, someone recommended this place and we decided to try it out. I noticed from there menu that they only specialize in hard tacos and tortes ahogadas. I've had these once before but very long ago, I was advised to get it only with the tomatoe sauce and not with the chili. We were able to add chili to our liking but I think it was still hot, not much of a chili person but overall was very good and it gets very busy, especially on the weekends. So if you would like to try these Fortas or tacos, come with in advance and with an appetite. read more

Yes I was there on Wednesday the 28th and I came with my service dog and they're not dog friendly and the waitress came out and made me feel like I was a criminal for bringing my service dog and they don't have no sign saying the porch is closed during the week where's your sign that says it's not open in this area. This is by far the best torta ahogada spot I've tried, been coming here for a while now and I always get the same thing...torta de carnitas media ahogada with a coke or michelada, you won't be disappointed at all....also their tacos dorados are delicious and recommend them too! Went here on a Sunday afternnon and it was busy! Which is often a sign that the food is really good. And it was!! The service was very friendly and quick. Every time I passed by on weekends it seems really pack, even cars looks for a spot on the street. Today I decided to give it a try and since I was really hungry after an almost twelve hour shift here I come. The waitress welcomed us and ask us what we want to ordered and I told her, we are newbies here can we take a look at the menu, first she said yes but then she told us the kitchen it's closed, we only have tortas o tacos dorados, so that's fine, I came obviously for the tortas, ok let me have one torta and an order of tacos dorados. Two minutes later talking about a prompt service, our dinner it's served. Pretty much everything was flavorless and I asked my wife are you enjoying your food, no but I'm hungry....same here but at least we tried, now we know we haven't been missing anything. I came here with my family... we ordered 2 tortas ahogadas which were good; I would have preferred the sauce they pour over the tortas to be warmer and not as luke warm like they served it. My mother ordered 2 tacos dorados which she said were really good. ***My son ordered carne asada nachos which came out way after our food; we had to remind the waitress to check on my son's food since we were half way done with our food and his nachos were still not out. It gets worse, after waiting an additional 10 mins for his nachos they came out wrong; the menu clearly reads mozzarella cheese yet they made my sons nachos with nachos cheese. We had to send them back and get them removed off the bill, since at this point we were done with our food. My sister and I ordered Michiladas which were not good; I've had better. Due to the experience we will most likely not return to this establishment. Their service needs some revamping because rather then taking care of their customers their too busy talking to each other. read more

Again the cuts of onions, THICK! when they are supposed to be thin cut to add flavor to the meal and NOT OVER POWER IT!!! And finally nail in the coffin. As we waited for our check my wife spotted a pubic hair in her half eaten torta.... she thought it was an eyelash, but she was already grossed out when I pulled it, well you can imagine.
