Found a great boba place close to home! First time coming here but it won't be our last. Friendly customer service and greeting as we walked in. We ordered three drinks : Brown Sugar Milk Tea - Matcha Green Tea Latte and Vanilla Milk Tea. All of them with boba and the boba was really good! Fresh and great texture, I'm picky with boba texture and this one was perfect. I asked what the popular drinks were and I went with the Vanilla Milk Tea, which I've never had. I'm a Whittier local, I have moved away and visit Whittier to see my parents. When I'm in town I like to bring my parents a drink or a snack. As driving down Beverly decided to stop by chami tea bar while waiting for my wing stop order. As my first time here I had a few questions regarding the drink options. I was greeted by a rude person taking orders, she was a latina women with face piercing. I am unsure why she had TERRIBLE attitude, everything I asked her it was an issue for her to answer. I was ready to pay and she repeated my order and I confirmed it and she rolled her eyes and I had enough and said cancel my order. I left here upset and disappointed over this person stinky attitude. I read on the reviews other people have experienced this attitude. Not sure why she has terrible attitude but it may be wise for this shop to reevaluate their employee. read more

What a delightful find in the City of Whittier! Open 2-8pm during the COVID-19 lockdown, Chami is a tea bar that serves first rate boba tea in a variety of flavors. I never had cheese foam so I ordered the black tea with cheese foam and honey boba. Cheese foam, if you've never had it, is a kind of salty and sweet froth that sits on top of your drink. The guy who worked there said it is reminiscent of salted caramel. It adds a nice little edge to help cut the sweetness that usually plagues boba teas. The drinks are still sweet, but it helps that you can customize your drinks to have 70/50/30% sugar. Call ahead for orders. read more

Great spot to pickup some tea. It's a hole in the wall. They have an array of sweet teas and boba to choose from. In addition, they also sell unsweetened tea in case someone is trying to watch their sugar intake. They sell hong kong waffles which are a nice treat. They also have gyoza for sale that you can buy in bulk. They are currently not doing dine in because of covid but takeout is still available. The location is very clean and the staff is nice. Place is clean and fresh. Servers were helpful with our orders. Relatively quick getting our orders. The egg waffle was delicious, next time I will try it with ice cream. We asked for half sweet and the drinks came out perfect. The boba had just the right amount of texture. Although the cups were sturdy and cute I wish some of these tea bars would have the option of patrons bringing their own containers. Just a suggestion! I think I found my favorite spot for milk tea in Whittier. I came here three different times always getting different drinks and they really mastered all the flavors. From Thai tea to the traditional milk tea, they got what I want and the taste just right. They are a newly opened business and thankfully don't have a crowded menu, so I can easily choose. The staff, apart from the delicious boba drinks, are so nice, they make you feel at home. They also just added a delicious snack called egg waffle. I wasn't familiar with it but I'm glad I am now.
