I did three moves with this company since the start of the Pandemic. The first one went well (the guys were fast and efficient), the second one not as good (just "ok", moved slower and took longer with 3 men). As I felt maybe it was just a slow crew I gave this company another shot. Big mistake, the third move this past Saturday was a complete disaster. While the owner (Johnny) and I disagree on the size of the previous trucks, (he says 22 feet, I say it was 26 feet) this one was an obviously smaller by all accounts. Both the previous moves were done with Uhaul rental trucks performed by his movers. This move was done by their (apparently) one company truck (they only own the ONE 20 foot truck per the supervisor). So, now I have to do two moves to handle a 2 bedroom place. Had this weekends truck been EVEN a 22 (as he so claims we had previously), we could have at least moved all the heavy items and 90 percent of the smaller items. I could have moved the rest by car. Instead poor planning on the movers after being told numerous times the heavy stuff was most important, did what they wanted to do anyway. The crew supervisor was half paying attention when we went through to point out the heavy stuff that was most important. Now I have to hire a 2nd company to move the ONE heavy piece that didn't fit, (due to the smaller truck and poor planning) and the left over banker size boxes. So, if the regular 22 foot Uhaul had been ordered like previous moves, we could have done the job and you would not be reading this. Instead, and knowing he had sent at least the 22 previously, (I say it was a 26 foot Uhaul) now will cost even more money to complete a simple local move. Horrible experience from start to end, AND the most expensive of the three moves by far. (almost double the overall costs of the previous moves I did with this company at now $169 per hour not even 2 years later). As a "bonus" the movers scratched and physically damaged a newly painted railing and didn't even come to find me and apologize. They waited for me to find it on my own after inspecting their work. Additionally, they will only accept payment by cash or $10 more per charged hour (so now $179 per hour) for credit card. This was not told to me at any point in the process. Yes, I'm sure it is buried in the paperwork, but this should have been CLEARLY disclosed up front. It was not. This move was a failure on every level. Definitely do NOT recommend, won't be back!!! read more

This company unloaded my relocubes just fine so I called the owner to ask how they were with long-distance moves a year later when I needed to move. He assured me that his guys knew how to pack cubes so I booked them. When I got to Austin I found my dresser, one of my nightstands, bar stools and trash bin damaged (see photos). They packed all boxes in one cube and all furniture in another cube without putting blankets between some furniture. (I had 13 blankets and asked movers if I should buy more but they said no). All the owner did was apologize for damage to the dresser. He did not reimburse me at all for the damage. read more

They arrived late, took them about 30 minutes to find parking, they were not efficient. I moved myself faster before and in comparison with the people who did my move internationally this was a painful process. The move took about 7.5 hours. They arrived 45 mins late, took them 30 minutes to figure parking, not the most efficient crew, the big guy is super opinionated and doesn't take direction well. Somehow managed to unassembled the table and at the time to re assemble it he said is missing screws (the ones that they left laying on the floor of the old place and that I picked and carried; in the end I had to explain how to assemble the table back and do it with him. Not the most careful guy, he scratched the floor on my new place really bad, also the top the table, my prior place flooring. Additionally when it took them 20 minutes longer than me to get to the new place I called and they had stopped by 7/11 for 10/15 minutes without letting the me know. Something similar happened earlier when they stopping the move to buy fruit without no tide. Big guy used the bathroom twice, second time for about 10 mins. And finally when I requested an invoice they called Johnny and I was allow to take a copy of the order but no invoice. read more

This was the second time I've hired Chamomile Movers and these guys are the most professional, hardworking, diligent, and careful movers I've ever worked with. Alex and his team worked in 104° heat to move my giant furniture from a second floor apartment to a third floor apartment with a broken elevator and never complained once. They packed their truck like a huge Tetris game and everything fit in one trip. They were the friendliest guys and they worked harder than anybody I've ever seen. These guys were great! I had an emergency move out of a storage facility-- learned about it on Monday. I talked to Johnny yesterday, and he literally wedged out the hours for me to get it done this afternoon. Alix and Arik were heroes, doing this after having worked a whole household move before they showed up for me. The arrival time was between 2 to 5,since they were coming from a first job, and they showed up well within that time frame. I bet they would have been peppier earlier in the day-- but they never stopped working, never stopped smiling, never stopped communicating. We were done in just under 4 hours. I paid the 'end of the month" price-- do these things in the MIDDLE of the month if you can-- but it was still affordable and worth every penny. read more

I had a very last minute move from Los Angeles to San Diego that required packing in addition to moving....not the best way to move i know, but circumstances demanded it, and i was very clear with the business owner what this job entailed before hiring them....he seemed used to this sort of thing, so we proceeded. The guys that showed up were very nice, but not too sharp. I own a silversmithing business l, and have a number of things like heavy stones (for soldering on) etc.....some of which were tossed into boxes that also contained glass jars, precision tools, stones. Packing had absolutely no logic, every box seems to have a completely random collection of items from different rooms, and each box so far has had a couple broken items. Some pieces of furniture had their drawers emptied by just dumping them out into boxes.....while other drawers now contain items that weren't in them before the move. Three days in and I'm certain it'll take me a week more of literally sorting each box one item at a time (tweezers, medication, a power strip, random books, chords but not what they go to, a stapler, etc)....this has been the worst move I've ever experienced. If I'd know it was going to be like this, I'd have just burned my apartment and started from scratch. Would've cost only slightly more, and saved me a lot of anger and frustration....and time. read more

We always hear nightmare stories about moving companies, so we made sure to do some thorough research before we picked our guys. We totally hit a home run with Busy Bee LA Moving company. They came within the time frame they had promised, were super friendly and warm, which is always helpful when you're going through a stressful move. They were very efficient and so quick. Wrapping everything perfectly so that nothing was damaged -- we have a lot of fine china/glass items, as well as very delicate recording/audio/studio equipment that we desperately needed to arrive in perfect condition, and thankfully they did! They were gentle with all our items and placed them exactly where we wanted them in our new location. All round extremely professional. This was the smoothest move we have done. Since moving into our new place we have had multiple issues with a variety of things and all we can keep saying is: thank goodness for the moving company, because it was the only smooth thing during this ride! I did a random search for movers and when I called these guys it turned out that they specialize in moving around the Sherman Oaks and San Fernando Valley area, so this was exactly what I needed. The guys were on time, they were uniformed, looked and behaved professional and took extra good care of my belongings by wrapping everything with blankets and shrink wrap. They even disconnected my washer and dryer and loaded my custom bike onto a truck at no additional charge. Overall, my guys had a positive attitude towards every task and whatever I asked them about, they had this 'yes' attitude, like, "sure, lets try it", and that really put me at ease. Hired this company to move my stuff. They were deliberately slow so that they can bill me more. The drive that takes 40 minutes took 1 hr 30 minutes for them, so that they can charge double the drive time. Finally when we start settling the bill, they start insisting on 15% tip. They were very professional, nice, funny and well organized. These guys worked hard on a very hot day.
