A group of church lady friends have been coming here monthly. Their food is delicious, we all order want we want pay for it individually and get it delivered to our table. But this past time they were extra accommodating as we got there a little after 11:00 and their breakfast service is done. I explained that we have an octogenarian friend who only wanted to eat pancakes and the obliged graciously. We all enjoyed our patio dining with each other while having a delicious meal. I'm not sure why it took me so long to go back maybe because I tend to go towards Costa Mesa for food rather then Newport Beach. All I know is after today I will definitely be going back again soon. My fiance and I attended Hoag Summer Fest a couple months ago. At Hoag Summer Fest, you get to try a bunch of samplings from different restaurants in Orange County. Champagnes was one of the restaurants handing out samples of their Hot Father sandwich. After trying the sample, I knew I had to try the whole sandwich and today was the day. My fiance fell in love with their toffee cookie and got a couple today. I ordered the Hot Father which is Mortadella, cappacola, salami, melted provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pepperoncini's, Italian dressing, and mayo on French roll. I also got a French onion soup and sweet potato fries. My fiance got the God Father which has everything the Hot Father has on it except it is a cold sandwich instead of hot. He also got French fries, a lemon tart and a couple of toffee cookies and a chocolate chip cookie. Champagnes Bistro & Deli is not a sandwich shop they have tons of other offerings besides sandwiches. Throughout the years everything I have tried at Champagnes has been delicious I highly recommend this restaurant. read more
