My best friend Tj recommended me to this place and they are so friendly and never try to get over on me! The environment is very friendly and comfortable! The first time I went to them was because of a battery issue and one of the guys did everything he could to get me a new one because my car uses a gel battery instead of water and he ordered it and had me in and out! So thankful for this place! I'm from California and came to Vegas for a trip and ran something in the road over due to not having enough time to switch lanes. Champs automotive is definately the place to go if you have any problems with your car. After about 10 years it's about that time when everything in your car starts having issues but I know I can count on Champs to fix everything. Within the year we came in for a radiator leak, a faulty AC unit, brake change, oil change, you name it and they'll fix it fast. They are very honest mechanics who also do not over charge you like the dealers do. We had a few issues with our BMW and the dealer estimated about $10,000 in repairs and when we brought our car to Champs they charged us about $3000 for parts and labor, never going back to the dealer now. I would highly recommend Champs to anyone with any car. They're mechanics that we can trust and always rely on when we need the job done correctly. read more

Fortunately, Champs Automotive is NOT one of those shops. I was excited about taking my car to Champs because I was referred to them by a buddy who has multiple cars and Champs works on all of them. It was a surprisingly pleasant experience working with Jesse and his son, Champ !! They analyzed the issue I was having with my car (there was actually more than one) and laid out all the options . . . . even a few that would not result in revenue NOT being generated. I really appreciate how they took the time to explain things in simple ("easy-to-understand") terms. Usually, I go to a repair shop and I feel like I'm at the doctor's office - I don't have a clue what is being explained to be. At Champs, they make sure you understand the issue, what was the likely cause of the issue, the multiple ways to resolve it, and what it will cost to resolve the issue . . . . THAT IS EMPOWERING !!! It's pretty obvious why they are always busy . . . . they place a priority on establishing trust with their clients and they treat their clients like family. My husband and I have been going to Champs Automotive for 4 years. I found them through another customer of their's. The first time I went to Champ Automotive, my check engine light was on. I called and spoke to Jesse and he stated I could bring my car in to look at it. He checked the light and told me it was my gas tank. Unfortunately, this has been something ongoing since I bought my vehicle. He shut off the check engine light for me. I asked him how much did I owe him and he said no charge. I was looking for a new mechanic and after he was so nice about not charging me to look at my car, I started bringing both of my cars to him for all my car repairs. It is very hard to find honest mechanics out there.They are reasonably priced and will work with you and fix your car in stages, if there is a lot of work to be done. They aren't salesman and aren't trying to hustle their way to get your business. They are always super busy but make time for every customer in a timely manner. Great family that takes amazing care of patrons and offer flexible hours to work with your schedule. The atmosphere is really comfortable; the waiting area and bathrooms are super clean (which is almost never the case in an auto shop). This place ripped off my mom and put the alternator without a main wire and rigging it to run for a little bit, then wait for us to call them again. Shes been going to them for a while but the car always comes back with a new issues or an unresolved issue. I told her to stop going here it didnt seem honest. The Honest Mechanic! We drove in from California and were experiencing very loud and strange noises that sounded like a broken axle or something serious. We originally found Eurotek Tuning on Yelp, but they were overbooked and only took appointments. Luckily, they referred us to Champs next door who was working on a car when we got there, but he took us in. When we were just about to get an Uber to go eat the Champs mechanic said we could cancel it, because he already found the problem to that strange loud noise. There was a plastic piece on bottom of the car that got detached, so he fixed it in less than 10 minutes! He could have easily came back and mention something else that was wrong and charge more, but he didn't. He ended up telling us to have a safe trip home and that there is no charge. This is definitely the most HONEST mechanic shop I have ever been to. Look out for the Champs sign. It's the last unit behind the building. read more
