I bought a chai tea latte, almond croissant, and cheese Danish. While the savory food all looked pretty good and the salads sounded quite nice, I didn't get any tastes this time around. Let's start with the best- their chai tea is made in house (as opposed to using a bought mix like Tazo) and I loved it! I'll stop in again just for the tea. The almond croissant was pretty good with a nice bit of almond paste. Not the lightest, flakiest, butteriest croissant ever. The cheese danish left much to be desired- cheese decent, breading dry and bland. The service folks were friendly and the prices pretty good/average. While inside to order, I felt the ambiance was lacking, same with outside seating actually. Yes, the building is in a shopping center parking lot and yes the vibe felt just like that. I like the exposed beams and green walls but I don't know- really nothing special about the feel of the place. No decor out on the patio. Meh. Made a visit from a recommendation first time today. Very cute place and friendly service. I thought there'd be more V / GF choices ( ie grilled cheese with GF bread and vegan cheese ). As I have limits of what I can eat and digest there wasn't any item I could have So chose to buy my friends the chewy chocolate walnut cookie and they loved it ! Yelp delivers again! In a part of town, unfamiliar to me, and it was breakfast time. This local gem offers breakfast sandwiches on biscuits or croissants. After enjoying one on a croissant, I will never know what the biscuit taste like because the croissant is so good. I see no reason to challenge perfection. Cute coffee shop and bakery in Cary. Popped in early afternoon when they were busy but not packed or overwhelming. Plenty of seating inside and out. We got two iced chai lattes and a chocolate croissant. The lattes were really great - sometimes chai can be overpowering but that wasn't the case here. The croissant was soft and flaky, but needed more chocolate (in my opinion). Two coffees and a decent sized croissant for $11 is a good deal to me. read more

We came today for the first time for lunch, but it will not be the last. It's at the corner of two busy streets, Tryon and Cary Parkway, so you have to go into the shopping center there to get into the parking area. There is plenty of parking right in front. A nice, open area inside and nice tables outside that are covered as well, so plenty of seating. Being a first timer, the young lady at the register was so kind and helpful. If all the employees are like her, they have a good thing going there. The menu is up on the board, including the daily quiche and soups of the day. They have breakfast items as well as the soups, sandwiches and salads. The bakery items were plentiful and all looked very good, but we did not indulge this time. The chicken salad was really good and was served with a choice of side. Today we chose cole slaw that tasted home made and fresh. There was a veggie quiche today and it was served HOT and was a good sized portion. Very nicely done, I would recommend. Wish there had been less mushrooms and more spinach, but that's just my preference. Soft drinks and tea are on the side along with the utensils, napkins, etc. The tables were clean and while we were there they were cleaning as well. A great place for a small or large group or a nice lunch on the patio....or a great place to meet for there many choices of coffee drinks and a sweet to go with it. We will be back! read more

The coffee was very very good. I am gluten free/celiac and I am happy to say they had options. The olive oil type cake was so good, I had to walk back up to the counter to confirm it was indeed gluten free. Iykyk. I ordered a hot house coffee with cream. My daughters ordered Carmel brûlée lattes... with oatmilk ( I think I got that right!) they were delish. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because we did have to go back up for them to redo the coffee as it was 3x sweeter than the other and it took a good 10 mins to get that fixed. Oh! Finally made it to Chanticleer. It was very crowded (i.e. slow service) on a Sunday morning, so we need to go when it's less busy to see what that's like. A bit underwhelmed with the cold pastries, which would have been much better if they were warm. And our cappuccinos took forever. They must be short staffed. I run on preschooler time, and so does everyone it seems :) so I never can wait as long as needed for a table to open up at some of the more popular brunch places. This is a hidden little gem that has a good outdoor patio and a decent number of indoor tables. We ordered a Californian sandwich, broccoli cheddar soup, egg/cheese croissant, almond latte and a kids meal. Chips were homemade and had a nice crunch. They also have other sandwiches, quiches and salads. Pretty good food and one of the more chill, relaxing brunch vibes I've had in a long time. A small but fast moving line. Not as pricey as la farm but with a similar feel - just much more local. Loved it and will come back. (My favorite was the brocheddar soup.) Shhh, secret. read more

A friend and I decided to visit Chanticleer on Saturday morning at 10am. We were a little overwhelmed by the line as it was incredibly long. We decided to stay assuming it must be good since people were willing to wait. Their prices are quite reasonable. They have a variety of baked goods that all looked tasty. I couldn't resist purchasing a chocolate croissant and so glad I got it. It was light, flaky and delicious. I also got a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuit itself was different than any I've had before and was very good. For my drink I got a Butterscotch Latte from their seasonal menu which was okay, but nothing special. Overall it was worth the wait and I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Bustling cute little cafe with delicious sandwiches. Menu is on a chalkboard and features breakfast, sandwiches, paninis, salads, soup, pastries, and coffee. We got there about noon on a Sunday, and there were about 10 people in line and one available table. Good news is by the time you get to order, tables have turned over. A lot of tables for 4 inside and they have several tables for 2 on the patio. I had the Californian which was Smoked Turkey Breast with Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, and Basil Mayo on Ciabatta. The ingredients were fresh and crisp, and the distinctive basil mayo was the perfect addition. Sandwiches come with chips, pasta salad, side salad, or coleslaw. I had the pasta salad which had the cutest tiny little pasta with red onion, tomato, basil, and a delicious dressing. My husband had the Pear & Prosciutto Panini with homemade crunchy chips. I didn't try a pastry, but I'm coming back for a coffee and a coffee caramel cruffin, which is baked fresh in-house, very soon! NOTE: they had a 99.5 health rating. Way to go! read more

We decided to try this place out based off of all the positive Yelp reviews; However, we were very disappointed. We arrived around 10:30am on a Saturday morning. They only have one register and it took forever for the line to move. Once I finally ordered our food it did come out quickly. My boyfriend had the quiche and I had the egg white and Swiss on an English muffin. My food was good and my boyfriend liked his quiche until he took a bite out of the middle - it was cold. Inside, the tables are spread apart, but on Saturday morning every table was full so it was a little too packed for my liking. All orders are placed at the counter, which makes it really easy to grab and go. The menu is great! An egg & cheese sandwich...on a croissant...with turkey bacon! I had to get that. It was good, but a little dry and the amount of filling wasn't enough for the size of the croissant. We also got several pastries. The plain croissant was really good - flaky and delicious. The chocolate one was also good, but need more chocolate in it and the chocolate could have been sweeter. The cinnamon roll was great - moist and sweet - and huge! The cookie of the day - chocolate chip butterscotch - was excellent...full of flavor and the right balance between chewy and crunchy. I wish I had gotten more! We got the walnut chocolate chip mini loaf for our toddlers. They need to gain weight and we thought this would be. good snack for them. However, my husband and I ended up eating instead...and we don't need any help gaining weight...... I can't wait to go back and try more. read more

The featured coffee toast tasted flat but you could kinda taste the hints of flavor. I would consider myself picky eater and I was definitely hesitant on giving three stars. Second visit- Stopped by for a bite to eat. The quiche of the day caught my eye. Quiche - chorizo, potatoes and machango cheese. The crust was nice and crunchy and I liked the flavor.
