    Live music on covered patio

Went here after a very long day at the spring market. The covered patio was open and available...live music was being played...menu looked great and cocktails were awesome. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Food was prepared perfectly. See you next time!

Love this place! My favorite thing is their chopped wedge salad + steak! Salmon salad is good too. My friends really enjoy the #7 smashburger. I didn't care for the whipped feta dip, jalapeño pimento cheese was good but perhaps not worth the price ($11.95 as pictured).

Attended for my 10 year olds birthday lunch after go kart racing. It was nice day so we sat outside we he really enjoyed. Inside was more of a sports bar vibe. The food was good and if I were in town looking for a good burger I'd stop in.

Always consistent and delicious. It's a from scratch kitchen and even their dipping sauces are made in house. I ordered the hand breaded chicken tenders and chip fries. Service is always good. Love this local place.

    Prime rib, French dip sandwich

Honestly, we started out at another restaurant to dine at on this day. Unfortunately, when we arrived, that restaurant didn't have any food to serve... yes, you heard that right. We were in the mood to try somewhere that we haven't dined at yet. The power of yelp brought us here, and we are very happy that it did. This is a very nice and clean looking upscale type of sports bar restaurant. TV's are all around for you to catch the action. Wasn't too busy this day so we were able to be seated quickly. We started out with an order of the wing tossed in their honey sriracha sauce. That sauce is the bomb.com. It was the perfect balance of sweet along with the spice that you would think that you would get with this. It made me craving more wings, but we still had our actual entrées to eat lol. I got the prime rib French dip sandwich. The sandwich itself was good. The meat on it was cooked very well. I do wish for the price when we however, the sandwich would be a little bit bigger. I felt myself eating kind of slow because I didn't want to feel like I wasn't getting my moneys worth for this sandwich if that makes sense. Overall, it was still a good sandwich I will say. The service here was perfect. They made sure that we were taking care of the whole time we were there. Everyone working there was very nice. I'll come back again to try some other items on the menu. I'll definitely be back to get some more wings! It's going to be hard to top the honey sriracha. I also had my eye on the bourbon chipotle sauce that they have, so that will be my next option to try. Looking forward to it!

Since first finding it, and with the completion of the loop around town, we've been back here at least once a month. It's still one of our top 10 places in town as we just always have a good experience with the food, the drinks and the staff. I will say, I try to come during more off hours as it seems like everyone else likes it too.

Never disappointed with my service food or ambiance here! I can count on a decent cocktail delicious food and being treated like a human being. Decided I should get here more often. Thank you CharBar.

I've been coming since they opened and it's always consistent and amazing. I love the whole staff and there isn't anything on the menu that I haven't tried. The chip fries are a must get and you can't go wrong with any of their burgers

This restaurant has a tavern vibe. We had the beer battered mushrooms which were great with ranch but they serve them with a horseradish dip that tastes horrible. Be sure to substitute the horseradish dip for ranch and thank me later. The Smother Me Naked Hamburger steak was tasty! Covered in Monterey Jack, mushrooms and onions seasoned perfectly. It comes with a salad, any side and went perfectly with a beer. Our waitress was nice but not very attentive. I noticed the wait staff has a lackadaisical demeanor by watching the other staff wait on the tables next to ours. The manager did come by and check to see if the food was good. I really appreciated that. I would definitely go back, the restaurant as a whole is a thumbs up.

The Smoke House Burger was really good! The service was great, and the wait time wasn't too long at all.

Started with the buffalo chicken dip and then the chipotle chicken sandwich. Both were excellent and highly recommend. Been here several times before and the food is always good.

Me and my family recently stopped by CharBar for the first time. We started with the fried pickles and they were delicious! I liked the shape they were cut into, kind of like fries and they had a nice crispy exterior with a creamy dipping sauce. For my entree I got the blackened shrimp tacos with the chip fries. The tacos were pretty good. The shrimp were cooked nicely and had a good flavor but they were quite messy. Honestly I'd come back just for the chip fries! They were the perfect combination of a chip and fry. My family all enjoyed their meals as well!

Visited and had a delicious meal! Started with nachos and it was huge serving! Burgers were excellent. My husband got the Charleston Burger and I got the Sweet Heat Burger. Both were cooked to perfection. Drinks were good and they had good specials on drinks as well. I enjoyed their new signature drink, the prickly pear. Ambiance is casual scene with heightened bar food. We went for a college alumni event and were treated well with the tvs all turned to our schools game. Definitely a good place for families & friends getting together. Had a nice looking outdoor covered area too, we didn't sit there but looked quieter than the indoor area we were in.

When we first walked in, I immediately noticed how dirty the glass doors were going into the restaurant and then again between the restaurant and the outdoor seating area, they could definitely use a deep cleaning. Our server was very friendly as well. She recommended a good drink & we ordered drinks and she took our food order pretty quickly. We started out with the Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls, and ordered the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Cuban that they had on the specials menu. The food came out fairly quickly, but we were missing items and the server was nowhere to be found, so we decided to split our meals so we could both try each sandwich. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were OK, they were a little on the mushy side and didn't really have a whole lot of flavor. Could definitely have used some peppers inside the rolls and/or maybe a spicy ranch dip rather than plain ranch. The chicken sandwich was really good and so were the sweet potato fries. I would've liked to have tried the Cuban when it was fresh, but I was missing an item so I didn't want to try it without it. Luckily with having an appetizer and splitting one of the sandwiches, it ended up being plenty of food, and since my sandwich was missing something, we just decided we would take it home. The server did not come back to our table to check on us or our food until we were completely done with one of the meals. She did bring out the missing item and to go boxes for the leftovers. Overall, the food was OK, definitely a "chain" style restaurant. I won't go out of my way to go back.

The drinks from the bartender were great, but the service experience could have been better. The attitude and overall energy felt a little off. It seemed like there was a lot going on, and the way we were serviced was affected by that. The service was very straight-faced, and a few items we requested were forgotten. I understand they were getting closer to closing and focused on cleaning up, but we had to go out of our way--almost waving or being extra noticeable--to get their attention. Also, when we asked about the specials listed on the flyer, we were told there were no specials, which was disappointing and felt like false advertising. The food was good, although I do wish it was served a little hotter. Overall, it was an okay experience. The music was great, and the atmosphere had a nice vibe.

That's the way it was for us and Taproom, a long time Greensboro pub on Battleground Avenue. The last time we stopped by was pre-pandemic. Prior to Covid we had been somewhat regulars, visiting every couple of months. As we walked in, it was as if we had entered a time machine. Nothing aesthetically had changed. That's a good thing because Taproom exuded the comfortable dark wood intimate setting that it is always enjoyed. We wanted a little bar food and a couple of adult beverages. At the suggestion of the bartender, we split a Caesar salad as well as a Black and Bleu black flatbread. The Caesar salad is a classic and was very satisfying. Can't say it is special, but it is simply delicious. The flatbread was a lot of fun. It comes with olive oil, caramelized, onion, crumbled bleu cheese, mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. We added blackened fillet tips as our protein. My only complaint is I should've ordered two. The flatbread is incredibly satisfying and the beef tips were savory, tender, and flavorful. I went old-school on the drink. I had a 20 ounce Guinness, while my wife had a mule. Both were spot on and worked really well with the food we had. Everything was very affordable as well. Taproom is loud and feels neighborly. I reviewed it nine years ago and I'm changing nothing. I highly recommend a visit if you're looking for drinks and pub food in a classic environment.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. I also tried their garlic parm boneless wings & they were so good. I loved how seasoned & salty they were, although they might be too salty for some people. I really loved it though! Their cocktail menu is also really interesting & creative. It's mostly whiskey of course but they do have other spirits. I tried the peanut butter & jelly Old fashioned and it was surprisingly delicious. It really did taste like a PB&J so I highly recommend. The inside is small but there's a nice outdoor seating area too. This really is one of my favorite places to get food in the area BUT the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because anytime I've been there remotely close to closing, they definitely let you know & make you feel rushed. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. I still really love this place & will keep going (but probably not within an hour or so of closing lol)
