Gotta say this isn't your average sports bar. This is a higher end sports bar with a classy interior and a truly awesome patio that has a large fireplace and plenty of seating. Works perfectly on beautiful sunny days, or cold snowy nights. The whole family enjoyed all of the food that came out. From the Bavarian style pretzels with 2 different dips, the hot and fresh beer battered mushrooms, to the sesame tuna poke bowl. Fresh and delicious. My Leap Year Burger was outstanding. Cooked to a perfect medium, dripping with juiciness. Add in the garlic aioli, crispy bacon and an oozing egg to top it all off and you have one heck of a burger! Smoked old fashioned for me, espresso martini for the wife, some cokes and Shirley Temple's for the kids...everyone was a happy camper. We're looking forward to coming back. We had an outstanding dinner here, and for a Monday night, it was very busy! We started with the guacamole and queso dips. Both were really good. Our kids had cheeseburgers and they loved them. I had the fish and chips and it was really good! Light and flaky and the tartar sauce was tasty. Their chip cut fries were also so good! My husband had a Southwest chicken wrap, and they gave us a brownie dessert since it was his birthday. Our server was friendly, and not overly pushy. Honestly, we started out at another restaurant to dine at on this day. Unfortunately, when we arrived, that restaurant didn't have any food to serve... yes, you heard that right. We were in the mood to try somewhere that we haven't dined at yet. The power of yelp brought us here, and we are very happy that it did. This is a very nice and clean looking upscale type of sports bar restaurant. TV's are all around for you to catch the action. Wasn't too busy this day so we were able to be seated quickly. We started out with an order of the wing tossed in their honey sriracha sauce. That sauce is the bomb.com. It was the perfect balance of sweet along with the spice that you would think that you would get with this. It made me craving more wings, but we still had our actual entrées to eat lol. I got the prime rib French dip sandwich. The sandwich itself was good. The meat on it was cooked very well. I do wish for the price when we however, the sandwich would be a little bit bigger. I felt myself eating kind of slow because I didn't want to feel like I wasn't getting my moneys worth for this sandwich if that makes sense. Overall, it was still a good sandwich I will say. The service here was perfect. They made sure that we were taking care of the whole time we were there. Everyone working there was very nice. I'll come back again to try some other items on the menu. I'll definitely be back to get some more wings! It's going to be hard to top the honey sriracha. I also had my eye on the bourbon chipotle sauce that they have, so that will be my next option to try. Be sure to substitute the horseradish dip for ranch and thank me later. The Smother Me Naked Hamburger steak was tasty! Covered in Monterey Jack, mushrooms and onions seasoned perfectly. It comes with a salad, any side and went perfectly with a beer. Our waitress was nice but not very attentive. I noticed the wait staff has a lackadaisical demeanor by watching the other staff wait on the tables next to ours. The manager did come by and check to see if the food was good. I liked the shape they were cut into, kind of like fries and they had a nice crispy exterior with a creamy dipping sauce. For my entree I got the blackened shrimp tacos with the chip fries. The tacos were pretty good. The shrimp were cooked nicely and had a good flavor but they were quite messy. Honestly I'd come back just for the chip fries! We ended up here by accident because another place was out of just about all their food options, and what a beautiful accident it was! We were promptly seated and I noticed that all of the food in passing looked delicious. As soon as I sat down, it hit me, that 7 years ago before I moved, I came for a work event and we had a long table full of appetizers that were all good! Because of this I was very hopeful that my meal would be a good one. Upon looking at the menu I found a wide variety of food options to suit just about every pallet and several allergies. Many of the options were elevated bar food with quite a few fresh salad option. After deciding what type of food I was in the mood for I decided start with Honey Sriracha Chicken wings! They were a nice size, with a light crisp, and cooked and flavored to perfection! For my meal I chose the #7 smash burger which I knew had to be good since is named after the restaurant (or maybe the restaurant is named after it?) and the shaved Brussel sprouts as my upgraded side. The burger had a nice cast iron skillet presentation and came wrapped to hold in all the saucy cheesy goodness! It also came with 2 patties which made it quite filling! The Brussels were nice bacon and buttery but if you are looking to make it a healthier side I would ask if they could hold some of the butter. Whatever you do, do not order the nachos for pickup. All you've done is order the Ingredients necessary for nachos. You have to construct the meal and if you don't do it immediately, you have to heat things up. Everything is separate. That is not what I paid for. They should offer them at a discount. I have eaten at Charbar7 a number of times and at no time have I been disappointed with the food. However tonight I had the French Dip. It was probably one of the worst sandwich have eaten in a long time. Half of the meat (prime rib) was grizzle and bland as eating tofu. No spices on the sandwich. Our waiter was outstanding and given the number of customers service was pretty quick. I will go back but never will I order the French Dip again, especially for $20 read more

I came by here at 4:25pm on a Saturday afternoon after taking some fall pictures with my son. We were sat promptly and our waitress was Ruby. She introduced herself, which was awesome! We all got waters and I got the full size pretzels (4) as an appetizer. The pretzels come with nacho cheese sauce and another type of dip. We ordered around 4:33. I got the smokehouse burger (w/o lettuce and tomato) and tots as my side. My friend got the smokehouse burger as well but without tomato and added pickles. He got chili as side, and it was an upcharge. My son got chicken tenders and fries. The pretzels came at 4:39pm. They were super fresh and hot, along with the sauces it came with. They were so delicious!! I always get pretzels when I come. I ordered the skrewy Russian at 4:54pm when Ruby brought my friends chili. Our food came at 4:56pm. I asked for some bbq sauce for my tots. Ruby brought my drink and the bbq sauce a minute later. The burger was one of the best burgers I had in a while and the tots were no less tasty! It was a great experience! No complaints! read more

Both were spot on, my wife's only comment was she would have liked more sauce on the tacos, but she was joking as they had plenty. Busy on a Sunday afternoon right at football kickoff, our waiter could have been a bit more attentive, but they were truly busy. Plenty of TVs with various games on, great place to have lunch and watch a game. Will definitely return. read more

On Saturday we ventured out to Greensboro in the snow and we eventually settled on Char Bar because we wanted a big juicy ribeye for our first night out in two weeks - guess what... they had a limited menu because they were short staffed from the snow - go figure! And guess what else - we ended up being pleasantly surprised with our meal even though it didn't go exactly as we planned. The cocktails/beer were thirst quenching. The wings were super crisp with a lot of dry rub just the way we like them. The Buffalo chicken dip was creamy with just the right amount of heat. And the prime rib French dip is the best we've ever had... seriously! The melty cheese with silky horseradish sauce and super flavorful au jus for dipping - just wow! Usually I cant fine an au jus salty enough for my liking. This one I could have drank from the cup and taken some home! Not to mentioned we sat on the heated patio next to the fire which made for the perfect snowy day atmosphere! The wait staff was prompt and efficient even though they were short staffed and the best part was how pleasant our waitress was even though it was a stressful day. Yes, the day didn't go as planned. Yes, the snow cramped our foodie style. But yes, we had the best day full of good food that surprised the heck out of us! We will be back to char bar for the ribeye AND another French dip! read more

I took my kids out for dinner to try what i consider the best fried pickles in town. Kiddos said they had "better fried pickles" but they devoured the full sized plate. Anyhow, everyone was satisfied w the food and service was excellent. Thanks to our server Jasmine, very attentive and pleasant. They have a covered patio seating, and a local musician was playing live. That's one of my favorite things about some of the restaurants, to enjoy good food, a cider at hand and listen to great tunes. The place was packed of course, no issues w parking space.
