This place is fantastic. Price is reasonable for the service you are receiving. The owner is extremely warm, welcome, and accommodating! They were so flexible with timing, which is important for me and my busy schedule. The only con is that the place is a little dirty, but nothing out of the ordinary. Perfect outing with your girlfriends, mom and some you time, esp. if you end up ordering their delicious frozen margarita! I ended up getting a dipping powder manicure and gel pedicure, which is still going strong without a trace of it going away after two weeks, which cost a total of about $70. Parking is easy, since they have a parking lot, and it's conveniently located by the Freeway and a gas station which came in very handy once I was done and realized I was vvvvery low on gas. I had high expectations for my deluxe pedicure but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. First off, the service felt way too rushed. The old gentleman technician barely spent any time on each step but not with much care, and the polish was applied sloppily. He didn't bother cutting my cuticles at all, which is usually a standard part of a good pedicure and manicure. On top of that, there was no massage during either treatment, which is supposed to be part of the "deluxe" experience. First timer. Place was nice, spacious and clean. Walking in I was approached by the owner, she welcomed me and asked me what I wanted. I got a full set and a pedicure & was in a chair immediately. I had decided to go with another type of nail design and about 5 minutes after, I hear the owner telling the lady who did my nails that I had no money because I looked young (or b/c I'm a student?) in private & in Vietnamese. Considering that I'm Vietnamese I understood what she said. I didn't get upset, I kinda just let it go. The woman, her name is Thu, who did my nails was real sweet and made me feel comfortable while I was there. Some of my fingers did come out uneven from the other hand but overall I like how they came out. One thing I noticed was that she measured my nails ONCE throughout the entire time, usually nail techs measure nails throughout the service to make sure they are even. The woman who did my pedicure did not cut me too deep or make me bleed so that's always a good sign. I like how she was very clean and careful with the polish so my toes came out perfect. However, she missed some parts with the topcoat on multiple toes so I can see where areas that are not covered. She scrubbed my feet for like 5 seconds, literally. I noticed that the toe color did not match my nails, which is my fault, I usually like for my nails and toes to match. She kind of got upset but asked if I wanted to change the color. I decided to just keep the color because I was gonna feel bad for making her redo everything. Now overall this salon makes me feel like I'm in the ones back my hometown. The other workers there were very nice and friendly. I want to say that I would come back again but honestly I'm not too sure. read more

The interior was under construction and everything looked unfinished. The nail polish they used for my manicure was a brand I'd never seen before and smelled really bad (and still does even after the shellac dried under the light). Though the people were nice, they did not speak to me but instead spoke only to each other Vietnamese. I can't help but feel like they way overcharged me; they charged $40 for a subpar French shellac and the lowest tip option was 18%... so it ended up costing almost $50. I wanted to like Charisma since they were sweet about working me in near closing. I opted for a standard polish French tip on the toes and shellac on my finger nails. The fresh fruit mani/pedi smelt amazing, yet I'm not convinced that it keep my skin moisturized as long compared to other nail places. Additionally, the pricing and social media discount was not clear. They want you to share the salon in a VERY specific way on FB or Insta to get the discount, which resulted in a random person's face on my feed. I deleted it from both platforms. Finally, the quality of the shellac was not great. I'm used to my shellac lasting well into week 3 without any major peeling, chipping, or bubbling. After 7 days, the shellac was already peeling. Next was chips on the edges. Soon after that, bubbling. The fact that the standard polish outperformed the shellac polish was interesting. I see their acrylic sets and designs, which look amazing, yet it's not my thing, so I probably will not be returning. read more

Hi there! Thank you to the business owner for responding. I apologize if my review was unclear. I was not over charged, I felt that for the price we should not have had the issues we did. It was around $400 because we tip at least 20% and even though we didn't love it, the techs did take the time and provided a service. After spending hours there we did not want to sit for another hour for polish changes and repairs. One of my daughters is learning to budget so she has her own card, maybe why our transaction couldn't be located. We were there at the very end of December and not in February. I totally understand that it could have been fixed. The point is when you pay for professional services it should reflect that in the finished product and not on the second try. What we got the first first time was not the quality we expected and paid for. We should not have to return for the issues to be fixed. I chose this place after seeing how the owner Hanh respond sooo wonderfully to the Karen who called them racist for not serving them even though her husband had a foot infection. I am no from San Antonio so I'm very hesitant on trusting people to do my nails. However, this place was one of the best I have ever had. I paid $43 for a complete and nice pedicure. I wish I knew the lady who did my nails but I will sure be coming back. They cleaned my nails perfectly, and made sure they took their time. It was clean and everything was disinfected. After I was done I originally tipped $7 but I felt so satisfied with my experience that I tipped an extra $10. I've had my fair share of bad experiences in nail salons, but this one was by far the worst! Upon arrival I ask the nail tech if she did designs and I showed her a pic of what I was looking for. A shellac manicure with stripes and dots with with a little design on one nail, easy right? She nods her head not really sure if she answered my question. I wanted one nail to a different color, well she forgets and has to redo it she then to tries to draw the design with regular OPI nail polish but the design just looks like a blop at this point.
