The true quality of a company is revealed when something goes wrong. And in this case it did and…read morethe results were bad. I hired the company to repair my washer. Diagnosis visit was great. Not so good after that. First repair appointment was cancelled during my scheduled appointment window because the part wasn't in yet. Second repair appointment, Mohamed showed up for the repair only to realize he had picked up the wrong part. The worst part was how he handled it. He said he had to drive back to Alexandria to get the right part. I had another contractor appointment at another property and told him my schedule was very challenging. He immediately became angry and literally started yelling at me. Said he was very busy too and this was messing up his whole schedule, exclaiming that it wasn't his fault. I was hoping to discuss our schedules to figure something out but he was losing it. I was trying to figure out what to do and he was yelling, "decide! decide!". Overwhelmed, I decided I would tell him go get it and come back and I'd try to figure out a solution in the meantime. After he left, I messaged the company and asked that they send another tech. They didn't have another tech. They refused to answer the phone and were not apologetic. Fortunately I was able to get my husband to come home from work and be there. At this point I was very upset and didn't ever want to see that man again. When Mohamed returned he fixed the dryer and apologized to my husband, but not to me, even though he was still texting me. Said he was really stressed. A little over a month later the part failed. It made me sick that we had to go back to the same company. They again said they didn't have another tech so again I had my husband be there for the appointment. I realized that likely there is only one Mohamed and the owner and tech are the same person. In spite of everything that had happened - the canceled appointment during the appointment time, showing up with the wrong part and yelling at me for it - he charged us $79 trip charge to replace the failed part. Said his labor warranty was 30 days. Here he had an opportunity to do something to compensate for his previous behavior and last minute cancellations, but he chose not to. I will never use this company again and do not recommend at all. So many good reviews but when things go wrong, beware.

Bob had a great price and diagnostic service was prompt, which was far superior than the rest. He was swift in ordering the new HVAC unit. He even assisted with the home owners insurance process, as he's a subject matter expert. He personally installed the HVAC with one of his other assistants. Decided to contact additional companies who could work with older boiler systems and in addition to a much lower estimate, Mirko of PCK was able to schedule his service and it was done in good time. The upstairs heating is so much better now! At a significantly lower cost. I know this boiler will need to eventually have to be replaced, and I will count on Mirko for the work.

The main problem and downside is that they are very expensive and overcharge. Despite the Yelp page saying that the company provides a "free estimate", I was quoted $49 for the technician to travel. In addition, if I had not chosen to go ahead with the repair, the company would have charged me an additional $150 diagnostic fee. Essentially, despite the yelp profile stating a "free estimate", it will cost you closer to $200 to get a quote. I see this as false advertisement. In addition, when the technician concluded that the problem was the capacitor, I received a final quote of $600. When I googled the price of the same capacitor online, the price range was in between 75$ - 150$. Essentially, they are charging a premium of at least $450 per replacement for a single part (capacitor). Despite their professionalism and quality work, I do not recommend this company for the reasons stated above. If price is not a concern for you, and you would rather pay twice the market value for a job then you should definitely choose them. EDIT: I actually googled the price of a capacitor and offered to buy my own. I was told that by the technician that if I purchased my own capacitor that the company would not install it. In conclusion, they did not address any of my concerns. Unfortunately, after reading the other bad reviews, there seems to be a consistent pattern of discrepancies between what they tell customers and what they instruct technicians to say on site. Making an honest living is so much more rewarding than making it dishonest living.

John was very polite and immediately told me my HVAC closet smelled because a mouse died in there. He also called a relative while at my place and on the way home to give me their suggestions on dealing with the smell, which has nothing to do with HVAC and is above and beyond in my opinion. Yes, I did have to pay the $100 fee to come out. I paid in cash to not have to pay the 10% processing fee. I was fine with paying this to have someone come out so quickly, and on a Sunday. Logan's Mechanical misdiagnosed my 2022 furnace, claiming the gas valve was defective when the real issue was corroded gas burners. They quoted $500 for a valve that retails around $200, and a total of $1,500 for the replacement which is extremely expensive based on standard pricing. They also failed to check whether the unit was still under warranty. If I had approved the repair, the actual problem would have remained and I would have paid $1,500 for nothing. I tried to resolve this directly, but the supervisor said he would call "when he has time." It has now been about a week with no follow-up, only contact from assistants. I recommend getting a second opinion before approving any major repairs here.
