When it came time for the wedding band, I brought over photos and same thing: he understood the task, asked any questions that needed to be asked, and it was absolutely perfect. I needed it engraved last minute and he was able to fit that in and even showed me what it would look like first. I asked to get the engagement ring also engraved at the same time and it was no issue. Every time I've come up, he always checks to make sure the rings are still in perfect condition. I'm pretty rough with my hands and there are definitely a lot of dings on the bottom of my rings, but they are holding together firm. He definitely makes jewelry that will last.

Was helped out by Jenny who was very patient with us in providing options. We arrived around closing time and had the store to ourselves for the most part. It was a much more comfortable/welcoming experience than New Top nearby & less crowded than Popular Jewelry (more selection as well!) I had to wait to have the ring resized, but the work was done really fast (about 10 - 20 mins? Can't recall any longer). Price wise, I bought it when I knew a lot less about buying gold (find out the price per gram & then the weight of the piece you're buying lol. Multiply, that's the melt value. Stores must sell jewelry for at least twice or three times the melt value to turn profit! More than that is probably kind of a rip off.) The price was somewhat consistent with the other jewelry stores, but I do believe I could have gotten it for cheaper if I'd haggled more (I believe it was ~$100-130?). The experience was pleasant though: calm and inviting. Definitely what I prefer over some of the more hectic/less welcoming shops. Jenny made a few engagement ring jokes and slipped her card to us so we could "come back for the wedding rings" soooooo be warned of that. Albeit busy, an associate (Albert) rushed to greet me and asked if he could help. As I asked if he had a piece that I wanted, he asked if I had purchased something a year ago. I was shocked to see that he had remembered me. Albert continued to guide me to my desired accessory and talked about the awesome features of the piece. He definitely knew his stuff. In addition, he asked if he could put in his two cents about the piece and I welcomed it. He said that there was a better and cheaper model. I was also shocked by this. Not only was he helping me get a better model, but he was also losing revenue in the process. I welcomed this and genuinely liked the new piece before asking what the price was. As a returning customer, he gave me a great discount. As I was a little bit suspicious I asked for a moment alone and did a quick google search of the piece. Not only did it have great reviews, but his price was cheaper than what I could find online. I decided to buy the piece. Albert came back, took out and wrapped up a non-floor model piece, and told me how to set it up and the like. I basically didn't even have to read the manual as he had so much information. Albert smiled, gave me his card, and the group of associates wished me a goodbye. What a store. Would definitely recommend them for the watches if not the awesome pricing and hospitality. If you come to Dimitrie you will not be disappointed. His hard work and masterful skill are truly unmatched. I came into the shop with my Grandfather's over 100 year old Tiffany & Co. pocket watch. It is the one thing I have that belonged to him. The watch looked fair cosmetically, but it could not wind. I had searched far and wide for a watchmaker that would not just make the watch tick again, but that would give me a sense of trust and security. Dimitrie was that watchmaker. Dimitrie was able to tell me the complex origin of the watch, the history behind Tiffany & Co. pocket watches and their movements as well as translate the inscription on the case of the watch. The vast knowledge of this man and his attention to detail is truly unparalleled. The watch took quite some time to repair, largely because the mainspring is of very unique dimensions which makes it quite rare. However Dimitrie and Daniela were very responsive and kept me in the loop. Not surprising repairs are done on Dimitrie's time. He's not as young as he used to be and he is in high demand for his unique skillset. Besides the man also has to have is fam bam time.
