We found this gem on a morning walk during our stay in Asheville. We grabbed one of their…read more sandwiches (Italian Grinder) from the cooler and a few other things for our hike. The sandwich was delicious!! Everything was so fresh! We loved it so much that we went back every morning before our hikes to get sandwiches for the remainder of our stay!! Bonus that the staff is super friendly!!

This was my first time ever visiting Asheville, and somehow one of the places I'll remember most…read morefrom the trip is a sandwich shop/bodega. I stopped in my first day and got the LT sandwich, which was amazing, but I ended up spending almost as much time looking around the store as I did eating. They have everything from local mustards and honey to tinned fish, seasonings, and a whole section from a local creamery with ice cream, yogurt, smoothies, etc. Everything seems thoughtfully picked out and locally sourced when possible, without having the ridiculous prices you sometimes expect from a place like this. The staff was also amazing--genuinely friendly, helpful, and happy to talk about the food and everything they carry. I liked the place enough that, despite having an entire city of restaurants I'd never tried before, I came back the very next day. This time I got the grinder, which ended up being my favorite, along with the roast beef, which was also delicious. Between the sandwiches, the people, and the frankly ridiculous amount of good shit packed into the store, everything about this place was great. There are plenty of places I didn't get a chance to try while I was in Asheville, but I have absolutely no regrets using two lunches on this one. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. Shoutout to one of the owners- Patty- goes out of his way to take care of customers

I didn't want a big meal since we were having dinner at Curate 3 hours later, but needed a little something. There's not much these days in Biltmore Village, but Yelp recommended Finch Grocery which was just a few minute walk the Grand Bohemian. I made my way over and passed it a few times before realizing it was inside an adorable house. As soon as I walked in I wished i had found this place earlier because I would have stopped by several days for coffee, breakfast and snacks. It's the most adorable little market and everything looks so good. The women who work here were also so friendly! I ordered some pretzel knots with their homemade mustard - they were warm and so delicious. The mustard had a little kick to it and was so delicious. Definitely a hidden gem in Biltmore Village that is worth checking out!

Finch Grocery is in the Biltmore Village neighborhood of Asheville where RV's aren't allowed to park on the street overnight. But Finch Grocery is part of an RV hospitality program where they allow people to use their parking lot. And it was a very quiet and very peaceful night. Arriving at 7pm and departing at 6am meant we didn't get to shop there but we'll be back in Asheville soon and will definitely check them out!
