These are not Lemon Pepper Wings. Pathetic

This morning i placed an online delivery order everything was fine until i sat down for lunch to eat. I open my food order ask me why they didnt give me 10 pic boneless wings instead they gave me chicken strips wannabes dripping in hot sauce. Dont use this place period! Ive been a Charley's customer over 30 years and this some bullshit. Refund me my $12.99 for my wings. I spent $42 for nothing...And yes i sent this to corporate and waiting for a call.

CHICKEN BUFFALO - w/light mayo + lettuce + onion + tomato + green peppers + extra buffalo sauce. Flavorful, just enough 'kick'. STEAK PHILLY CHEESESTEAK - w/light mayo + lettuce + onion + green peppers. STRAWBERRY LEMONADE - Good, refreshing. Perfect for a hot summer evening. Both served on toasted signature rolls w/fries and a regular sized drink. Fries are made fresh to order, and seasoned with just enough salt. Notes: PARKING - Garage, street (metered) SERVICE - OK OPTIONS - Suitable PRICE - Meh __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

I was traveling by train from New York and I has just arrived to Union Station, and I had not eaten a thing all day. Fast forward to 2pm and this was the first unique fast food place that I saw in the concourse, and it wasn't the typical fast food chain reataurant. In fact, I had never even heard of thia restaurant at all until today. There was a decent sized line to place orders, so I figured that they must be popular. I wasn't in the mood for a cheese steak, so I decided to go for a chicken type of sandwich. I ordered the Chicken California that had chicken breast, provolone cheese, and mayonnaise. It tastes pretty good, althou I remembered too late that I was not a huge fan of mayonnaise. I also got a medium sized fountain drink. The chicken sandwich was delicious and I managed to finish it all.

ALL the actual restaurants are either closed today or permanent. My honey picked cheese steak, oh yeah!

We were here recently for a layover on one of our choo-choo trips and the food is surprisingly not bad at all. Yes it's a chain with 17 locations in the D.C. metro area alone and I've got two I'm our area in Mobile and Pensacola. The creator Charley Shin started up his first place in 1986 after falling in love with his first cheesesteak in college at Ohio State, of all places. He started his first place ner OSU campus then started franchising his it in 1991 and today there's over 650 locations in 46 U.S. states and in 17 countries, impressive. This one is located in the Union Station Food Court in the Washington DC train station. We had lots of choices for food choices here but it's only a couple hours drive from Philly and we were hoping for the best. It's not unlike some the cheesesteak joints in Philly where you walk up, tell 'em what you want on it, pay and wait for your cheesesteak goodness to dig in to. There's about a half dozen veggies and a dozen condiments to choose from so it's pretty simple. They do a pretty decent French fry or you can go with chips. We both had cheesesteaks, of course, and were very happy with the results. Hot shaved steak, gooey cheese, fresh veggies and I'm a happy traveler. Don't get me wrong, these aren't the best cheesesteak sandwiches I've ever had, but they're pretty darn good. I mean they have 10 of their eateries in the Philadelphia metro area so they obviously hold up. Bottom line: The menu is simple, cheesesteak and fries, which is obviously a good thing because they do it pretty well. Recommended https://www.charleys.com/

I used to eat at the food court at Union Station before seeing movies (back when there was a movie theater there) so this brought back some memories. Overall, this was a decent sandwich. It was hot and made to order and the service was okay. Could have been quicker since I was the only customer at the time, but not too bad. Fries were not very good. The place looked clean and the workers were courteous so I think this is a decent place for a made to order cheese steak.

Chicken Philly Steak Original Fries with BBQ Sauce

Browsed through the food court while I wait for my train in Union Station and found this counter among all the other fast food joints. It was such a bargain! I ordered the Small Chicken Philly with Original Fries that despite the word small, makes a very filling meal and cost me only $6-ish (tax included) which is awesome! Plus you can customize what to put inside of your sandwich. I had everything except olives and green pepper. Plus I asked them to put my fries in the box and pour BBQ sauce on it, and the guy generously did. The fries were excellent! Crispy, warm, and they absorbed all the goodness of the BBQ sauce. The sandwich was great too, although the bread could do some more texture (if only it was toasted). Regardless, very satisfied with my choice!

They operate a deli counter in the front and a bar / speakeasy in the back. You can rent out the bar space for private events. Last night, we had the space (and a bartender!) to ourselves, along with 3-4 different types of sandwiches. There is something SPECIAL about their seeded Italian bread. The perfect flakiness and texture. I enjoyed the chicken fontina and Italian. The caprese was my least favorite--not sure if they use a balsamic or what, but the flavor wasn't coming through. Before I left, I decided to order a large chicken cheesesteak to take home for lunch the next day. It was a bit of a risk to order a hot sandwich that I would have in the fridge overnight but I heated it up in our air fryer/toaster oven for all of 10 mins and the bread was good (not soggy) and the sandwich itself was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, I didn't stop to take a photo until the last bite :) It's a decent size sandwich--I ate half for lunch (along with my own chips and veggies) and have another half for tomorrow so while it's not cheap, I think it's reasonable.

Let me start with the cheesesteak. I am a firm believer that an amazing cheesesteak has to nail the 3 components: 1) quality meat, 2) gooiness of the cheese, 3) freshness of the roll. Harvey's nailed the meat. The gooiness of the cheese was inconsistent but I do like their take on their own wiz. The roll was eh. Also, the onions were just thrown into the meat instead of being car elided on the flat grill. I think what really took my by surprised was the staff. The cook seemed to be on break eating while I waited for my order. Now it was a little dead in Union Market. I showed up around 5ish on a Friday night. But I was a little caught off guard when watching the staff during the making of my sandwich. Just expected a higher standard. If I lived in the area, I love the availability of getting fresh quality cuts of meat as they have available for your viewing pleasure. Their menu of sandwiches available here still look great. But now that I've tried their cheesesteak, I don't feel the need to stop for it again.

We did a spectacular job inhaling it, so it really wasn't around for long. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I forgot that they stopped making the porchetta sandwich and this is really the reason I was even going there. Steak and cheese - 8/10 - the flavor was amazing but a bit on the salty side for me. I needed something to cut into the salty/savoriness so I ended up asking for a side of hot peppers. That didn't fix it but made it an easier finish for me. I don't know what kind of bread it was but it held up really well with the steak. They had karaoke going when I came in so I definitely need to come back for that. Our bartender was Carmela (sp) and she was such a doll.

Total came out to approximately $33, with the extra bacon for an extra $1. What's hot - Quality. One of the best quality deep dish pizzas I've had. The crust is thick, substantive, and holds up well underneath the wonderful amount of topping/filling. It's soft and chewy on the inside, and has a nice crunch on the outside. It's also not oily, which I really appreciate. There is no skimping on the toppings/filling, which my husband and I love. The meat was tender and juicy. There was a good amount of sliced bell peppers, as well. The filling was flavorful, well seasoned, and not too salty. The structure of the pizza held up well as my husband and I noshed through the pizza. We love that the crust is not floppy. - Menu. Good variety. There's something for everyone, possibly with the exception of vegan. I didn't see vegan cheese on the menu. However, I saw a smoked salmon pesto pizza on the menu. Pretty impressive options. - Price. Excellent value for money, especially given the portion size. The normal size pizza is their smaller size pizza, which was enough to feed myself and my husband. - Service. Pretty good. When we arrived, we were told it would take 10 more minutes. When we first put in our order for the cheesesteak pizza, they updated us that they were out of steak and asked if we were alright substituting chicken for steak. Be prepared to wait the maximum amount of time for your order, because they appear to put in the time in handcrafting each pizza order. Totally worth the wait. When they gave us the order, they opened the lid of the pizza box to let us to see our pizza. My response? I literally said, "Damn." Haha... What's not - Location. To be fair, this is specific to me and my husband, but this place is a little farther from us. Additionally, parking around this area may not be the most convenient depending on the day and time. This place is in the middle of a fairly large alley. As such, there is enough room to park your car by the restaurant, but it'll depend on the time and circumstances when you get there. There's also no seating. It appears to be strictly a takeaway joint, which is not a big deal, but it'll depend on how hungry you are and whether you're equipped to keep the pizza warm on your way home. - Service. They appear to be on all the takeaway food apps, which is helpful. However, they're not always consistent with updating the apps. For example, the first time my husband and I tried to order from there, we arrived and the restaurant was closed. When we picked up our order this time, we explained our previous situation to confirm the days and times they're actually open. They explained to us that they probably forgot to update the apps on their holiday hours. My point is it might be helpful to call and confirm that they're open, depending on when you're putting in an order. Final Answer Definitely plan on returning and worth it for a great quality deep dish pizza.
