I have been craving Thai food ever since 2024 started and I was so happy to indulge on this craving this weekend at Charm Thai BBQ in Elmhurst! Charm serves delicious Thai and Vietnamese food and has a great menu serving up dishes for meat-lovers, vegetarians and those with gluten dietary restrictions. I've picked up food to-go from Charm several times in the past but this was my first time dining in! Service, atmosphere, and food are all a 10/10 for me. : I tried and would recommend their crab rangoon, dancing calamari, tom kha soup, and beef pad see ew dishes! The crab rangoons were on the smaller end but they absolutely HIT The calamari was breaded in a way that reminded us of onion rings but again, was so tasty! The tom kha soup was so CREAMY and the thick liquid consistency of the soup was exactly what I needed on a negative temp winter Chicagoland day The mouthwatering combination of the warm stir fried rice noodle and eggs was absolutely amazing. The beef pieces were large and they did NOT skimp on the meat! Justin loved their Thai Iced Tea and panang curry as well! He shared that their thai spicy is actually spicy (in a good way). The Thai Iced Tea was on the sweeter end (which I enjoyed). We look forward to trying their Viet dishes next time Definitely add Charm Thai BBQ to your list of restaurants to check out in the Chicagoland suburbs

I randomly stumbled upon this little plaza while passing through Elmhurst downtown. For our family, this is a great find because the adults enjoy Thai food but the girls do not and they prefer Vietnamese. Charm Thai BBQ happens to serve both cuisines so it's a win-win situation! On a Saturday afternoon, our party of six adults and two young children tried the following: 1) Vegetarian spring rolls were packed with shreds of carrots and vermicelli. Each order comes with four pieces so we had two orders. 2) Pho tai came with very tender eye round steak and the portion was very generous. My girls shared the bowl and had enough for leftovers to go. They even sipped a good amount of the beef broth! 3) Pad see ew with beef was flavorful and I preferred this over the tofu. But regardless, you can't go wrong with ordering pad see ew at most Thai restaurants. 4) Pad see ew with tofu 5) Red curry with tofu has a stronger kick so I think we went with tofu since tofu itself is usually bland. Needless to say, we cleared all the rice with all that curry. 6) Panang curry with chicken was bursting with a rich, creamy flavor. It was especially hearty with the chicken. 7) Thai iced tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. We didn't order any drinks for our young girls. But the staff was super friendly and provided our girls with complimentary juice. So of course, our girls were elated and had the best time with their juice and pho.

I never realized this restaurant was here or so close to my work! It's very spacious, clean, and had plenty of seating. My lemonade was refreshing. I had the drunken noodles with chicken that I will definitely be ordering again. The portions were huge. My friend loves their shrimp spring rolls. Although it's an app, it can definitely be a meal for someone. Service was friendly and fast. My only suggestion is to have a lunch special.

Charm was an amazing choice for lunch today. I had the Vegetarian Duck Basil, my brother had Beef Pad See Ew, and my sister had the Chicken Pad Thai. The portions were plentiful and the food was hot and delicious with a delightful aroma. The server was attentive and warm. The restaurant was clean and well-kept with a perfect amount of sunlight to make the dining room even more welcoming. We will definitely be back!!

This place is amazing. I am originally from California and lived near Garden Grove which has a huge Vietnamese population. This is vary comparable. Services from me and atmosphere is relaxing. Bonus super fast at making your food.

Just tried this place and will be adding it to the rotation of great Thai cuisine in the area for my family! I ordered the Shrimp Street noodle in mild (my favorite), Beef Drunken noodle, Shrimp Basil Thai fried rice, and Crispy Thai spring rolls. All were great! They do flavor well here and I am excited to keep exploring the menu!

Came here on a Thursday night, there was one other table only. It is actually quite nice on the inside. Modern and no-fuss. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious! I love Thai food, and I usually drive about 30 mins to get good Thai. No more. For 2 people cashew shrimp and green curry were more than enough. The prices are very fair. I even got an extra pad Thai order to go for tomorrow's snow day. All ingredients were fresh and the flavors were on point. I am so glad I finally tried Charm and will be back.

Place is nicely decorated. Plenty of parking. Food was great! Many options to choose from. Loved both dishes; spicy basil with sliced beef and pad woon sen with chicken. Can't wait to come again.

Tried this place based on the good reviews but really did not enjoy the Thai dishes we got. Maybe it was an off night.

So glad we happened to be in the area and tried this place for lunch. The restaurant has a very…read moreJapanese feel to it. You place your order on the tablet, there is just one guy working in there who makes the food and places it on the counter. The decor is simple and just right. The food is the best food ever! I had the rice paper wrap with tofu in it. I could only eat half as I was so full. The seasoning on the fries is so good.. and the cucumber salad was top notch. Even the drinks in the cooker area were very interesting that I had never seen before. It's very clear that this is a very well thought out restaurant. The only feedback I would give is to add a couple of options for vegan gluten free in the menu. My wrap had to be customized and communicating with the chef was a bit of a challenge due to language.

Zenwich - Tasty Food, Lacking Warmth…read more My family and I recently visited Zenwich and tried a little bit of everything--two sandwiches and two rice bowls. Let's start with the good: the sandwiches were delicious, with standout bread that really elevated the meal. While I wouldn't go out of my way to make a special trip just for them, they were definitely enjoyable and well-executed. The rice bowls earned a solid 7.5 from my husband and son. Flavorful and filling, but maybe missing that little extra something to make them truly memorable. Where Zenwich unfortunately fell flat was the customer service. We visited around 5 PM on a Friday and there was only one person working. Not only were we not greeted when we walked in, but we stood at the counter for several minutes without even being acknowledged. I even saw another customer politely thank the staff member after asking for a napkin, and he didn't so much as look up in response. It left the whole experience feeling impersonal. If the service matched the quality of the food, this would've easily been a four-star visit. With just a bit more effort in the hospitality department, Zenwich could really shine.

I started with the Solstice Spritz -- he mentioned it was on the sweeter side, and it honestly had the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Not overly sugary, just really well done. For an appetizer, we got the best (in my opinion), the wild mushroom toast. This location uses softer bread compared to others, and the appetizer had a slight kick to it that made it even better. Definitely a standout dish. I also tried the espresso martini, which was made with Baileys. It was strong but good -- smooth with that rich espresso flavor coming through. For my entrée, I had the butternut squash risotto. It was okay, but I felt like it could've used a bit more sauce or an extra layer of flavor. I ended up adding more parmesan, which helped elevate it a little. The inside of this location is really nice -- different from the other locations I've been to, but in a good way. The ambiance definitely added to the experience.

A chic and trendy spot with an amazing atmosphere and and even better food…read more We started our meal with the bacon wrapped dates... chefs kiss. Fair warning, the red sauce has a nice kick to it! For the main we had the Caesar Salad and the Prosciutto/Arugula Roman pizza. I love a fluffy savory pizza and this one hit the spot. Service was decent. When we arrived we were told that the dining room would have a 45-minute wait but the bar was open. We opted for the bar. Obviously, when seated at the bar you have some trade-offs. It was a bit noisy and the bartenders and hustling to care for everyone, not just you so it was a bit slower. Not a bad thing, just something that was noted. Parking is street and wasn't too bad for a Friday night! All in all would absolutely recommend!

The sauce definitely added a nice kick, and I even added some to my pizza. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing, and the weather was perfect.
