The aloo gobi is the best in the area - some places make it more soupy but the version they have here is much better and more like what we are used to. Clean and new restaurant. I prefer ordering from a menu rather than the phone so as a new restaurant that is the only feedback I would offer. Pay attention to the hours because they close for a little bit between lunch and dinner hours during the week. Not a problem, just a little tip. We were excited to come eat one day and they were closed when we came. But we are back and enjoying another meal. So far, highly recommend! read more

I thought it was a bit of an odd location since there's literally another Indian restaurant a stone's throw from this one, but we wanted to try. The inside was nice and modern. The service was lacking. They seem to really want you to order using the app, but there was an item on the menu we wanted that we couldn't find in the app. So the guy took our order, but we never got the plate we wanted. No explanation. For water, they serve room temp Costco bottles. No ice available. The chai was served in little disposable cups. To me and my daughter the food was pretty bland. My husband liked the goat dish we got, I thought it was overcooked. I know they're new, but in that case they need to make up any food issues with great service. We just didn't see that. It felt like they didn't want to talk to anyone. We had to hunt them down to get the check. As much as it costs to dine out these days, it was a disappointing experience all around. This place fell far below basic food‑safety standards. The server came out wearing oily black gloves, used the same gloves to clear dirty plates, and then served our food--leaving grease marks on plates that already had old food residue on them. Completely unsanitized. The floors were dirty, the restroom was dirty, and no one seemed to be paying attention. It's also very alarming to see how the food is being prepped in the back kitchen. The food even came out cold. I've been going to the Mira Mesa location for years, and this place just doesn't compare. What an incredible first day at the soft opening of Charminar Express in Temecula -- their very first franchised location, and they're already off to an amazing start! I had the chance to meet the fantastic team behind the scenes, and everything from the warm hospitality to the stunning setup was absolutely on point. Though they're currently running a limited menu during their soft opening this week, every bite we had was pure perfection. The Garlic Naan was soft and flavorful, the Chicken 65 packed the perfect punch, the Butter Chicken was rich and comforting, and the Chicken Biryani was aromatic and full of flavor -- all served hot and fresh. Y'all, this place was an absolute eatery. It was my first time visiting and they made the experience lovely. Staff was very friendly and aware of their customers, from reassuring food is on its way, to asking how the food is and if it is satisfactory. I found out about this this this morning and had to check it out. I did have to drive around to find it. The decor was tastefully simple. The menu was small but with more than enough choices. I happened to visit on a Tuesday which means buy a biryani get one free. I thought bargains like that were extinct. Seriously that is a half price meal with a very generous portion. . The chicken biryani had a great flavor and the aroma was amazing. I cut the chicken with a fork. Samosa were good with a bit of a kick, crispy and with a good flavor. Bring out the Chicken 65.This was succulent pieces of chicken covered with herbs and spices. I just got home and am already thinking of eating some with biryani for a late night feast. The staff were very attentive but not overboard. Thank you John. Price was good. It is difficult to say that when restaurants are expensive for mediocre food. I could say I died and went to Heaven but if I did I wouldn't be able to eat there again . There is no question about eating there again. The owner really took time to chat with us and explain a little bit about the cuisine and general information about their history. Food itself was very delicious. We tried Biryani, daal tadka, chicken 65. This is definitely not your typical Indian restaurant where things taste and or look familiar, but unique and flavorful. We ate here on a Wednesday night & tried their Wednesday Night Street Food options. The staff is VERY friendly & accommodating. The street food was good with flavors we are not used to, so we prefer the menu dishes. The dessert that came with the street food options was VERY good....a yellow grain with raisins & nuts. We also ordered a crispy vegetable appetizer that I thought was too crispy and I could not tell what the vegetable was. (Pass on that.) The cheese naan was VERY good. Delicious and Authentic! Each dish was beautifully presented and served with the utmost care. This was more than dinner, it was an experience! It's super clean with simple decore. Our server John was attentive and described the various dishes. The owner stopped by our table to highlight several menu options and to make sure we were totally satisfied--and we were! We started with Mango Lassi, a smoothy-like beverage made with sweet mango and yogurt, a tasty way to prepare for the meal, replete with probiotic goodness. We ordered Chicken Majestic as a starter, medium spice, If you're not a fan of spice I recommend 'mild' spice. This was a *very generous portion, more than enough for two people to share. They brought a bowl of Goat Haleem, ground goat, wheat & lentils with a perfect hint of cinnamon, wow so good. Then we tried the Goat Biryani served in a lovely pot: shredded goat topped with yummy saffron basmati rice and garnished with thinly sliced fried onions and a boiled egg. John also brought out two small bowls with chile sauce and a refreshing sauce made with cucumber yogurt & cilantro. The cucumber sauce tasted delicious over the rice and balanced the spicy chicken majestic flavors. The handmade naan bread was out of this world! They make it fresh over a heated stone. This experience deepened my appreciation for the Indian culture and their heart & soul behind each dish. For Dessert we tried the Gulab Jamun, it's like warm, perfectly round donut holes soaked in syrup that's scented with rose and cardamom...delightful, Highly Recommend!
