    Seafood Linguine
    Luc Y.

A classic tourist trap restaurant, avoid. Place was very crowded upon entry with a 45 min queue. Menu prices are extremely elevated for lackluster food. We ordered fried oysters , fish and chips, seafood pasta, and calamari. Soup and coleslaw were our sides. Chowder was lacking flavor and watery, definitely not worth ordering. Oysters were disgusting, they had a fishy mushy taste and you could tell they were NOT fresh catch despite being a harbor front restaurant. The fries were average, no comment. Seafood pasta was of poor quality also. The crab was overcooked and stringy/ chewy. Linguine noodles were bland also, very watered down and did not have the advertised beurre blanc sauce flavor. The asparagus accompany was also only 3 sticks and wasn't even grilled properly, an insult for a $40 pasta. Servers were also inattentive and had to be flagged down for requests. Overall, SKIP this place. Overpriced tourist trap with lackluster food, not worth the wait at all.

We stayed nearby for the Redwood attractions. Upon checking in we were told it was a 20 minute wait but this place appeared to be popular so we waited 40+ minutes. Though service was very good, fast, friendly but the food was just ok, most certainly not worth the hype. Chowder was ok, a little bland, shrimp tacos were good but I wouldn't order them again. The space of the restaurant is open, no booths so can get a little loud.

This restaurant is really cool and has a beach type feel. It is right on the water and you if you are lucky enough to have a window seat you can see a seal. My girlfriend and I were in California from New York and the hotel receptionist tipped us off about this place; what luck! We went there on a Wednesday night just before they close and it was packed with a pretty long wait but, it was definitely worth it. The fish and chips was excellent. Best fish and chips I've ever had and probably ever will have. My girlfriend got the shrimp and chips which was also great. Awesome place to eat if you are in Crescent City.

We stopped here for a quick bite and were pleasantly impressed. We sat by the windows to observe the seals. The place smelled like a lovely seafood boil mixed with blooming flowers. It was mildly intoxicating. The staff was friendly and service was very fast.

Food was good service was great ambiance "beach" need I say more. A little pricey but hey what do you expect being waterfront? I was surprised to see it only had 3 stars. I would definitely go again!

The fish was fresh & wonderful battered all tasted great, the coleslaw was excellent. Fries were crispy , tasty & well seasoned. My wife's Lasagna looked delicious. It was worth the wait for a Sunday lunch service was we were sat on the bar due to the long wait. Our glass was never empty. All hands on deck staff was awesome working under pressure. The whole restaurant was full all kinds of people waiting NOW I understand why the wait. It's the happening place & the food is good . The view, the ambiance. Food etc Great Place to be.

Extremely mid. The salmon BLT was good but the salmon was dry. My husband ordered 2 different beef sandwiches, both were sold out. She kept coming back saying sold out. His chicken tenders were very mid. Great view. Wouldn't come back

Shared an amazing fish and chips meal after a day hiking among the redwoods. Had a 15 minute wait for our table, and were seated at the end of a long 8-top with another couple. It worked! Ice tea refills and quick service from the friendly waitstaff, and lovely views of the harbor seals out the window made for a special treat!

Update on my review I was contacted this morning by a…read moregentleman named Joel and this is what he wrote: Hi Dea, this is Joel from SeaFront Baking Company. Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed our decor and presentation. I apologize for the experience with the hot chocolate and avocado toast. I refunded the toast. Your comments are invaluable for our improvement. We appreciate your input and hope to serve you better in the future. I wasn't expecting that at all! So I'm very impressed that they received my constructive criticism in a positive way, and then to refund me for part of my order was very generous. I stated before I would like to give them another chance and now for sure I will! This was my first time here at SeaFront bakery. I heard this place has been here for about 2 years. I was really hoping this place would be good. It's a nice looking establishment especially inside. I'll start with what I liked: It's a good looking place with plenty of seating, very nice setting and has a gift area available, with so many delightful goodies, mugs, stickers clothing etc. it's spacious inside with lots of seating and a very cute area to sit by a wood stove. I really liked the decor. But I was disappointed with the food the hidden fees and the service. I ordered from my table on the QR code I ordered the avocado toast and a small hot chocolate (if you want whipped cream it's $.50 extra) I would have preferred to have gone up and ordered but it was pretty busy so I decided to try the QR code. There is no option to not tip, but there are 3 options to tip. Here's the thing, the servers don't come to the table to take your order and they don't bring you your food, you either order at the counter or on the QR code, and you pick up your order when they call your name. The area I was seated at, you couldn't hear them call the names for the orders, so I had to go and stand by the counter, so that I didn't miss my order. I guess I should have just ordered at the counter, I'm not exactly sure what the QR code did to save any time or allow me to remain at the table. I received my hot chocolate first, I was looking forward to trying it. I took a couple sips and could hardly taste the chocolate. I took it back up to the counter and waited politely until I could get the girls attention and asked if she could please add more chocolate. I explained that I could barely taste the chocolate, in my hot chocolate. The girl that I asked said, "yeah I guess so"? she wasn't too accommodating. After dealing with the hot chocolate issue it still didn't taste any better, I used to be a barista I know good hot chocolate and this hot chocolate was not good. My name was called a second time, I got my avocado toast. It was covered in cooked cherry tomatoes with balsamic vinegar, avocado, 1 egg over medium. The presentation was beautiful, but I ordered avocado "toast" the bread was not toasted or barely was and with all of the mushy textures and the bread not toasted it was a mushy mess! I just didn't care for it, too many mushy textures and no toast to break up the moisture. The textures are what got me. Darn it! I was disappointed with the food and hot chocolate (that cost extra for whipped cream) Hot chocolate and whipped cream go together in my opinion, and shouldn't be charged for it! And I don't appreciate being forced to tip! Please don't get me wrong, I've worked in the food industry most of my life, so I understand about tipping! Not sure if I will be going back there, however, If I do, I will not order from the QR code, I will not order the avocado toast, and I will definitely not the hot chocolate. Here is the breakdown of my cost: Avocado toast (there was no toast, bread yeah, ok) with garlic aïoli, blistered cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, fresh basil, Sunnyside egg (it was not Sunny-side, it was over medium) $12 1-12oz hot chocolate (no whip that cost extra) $5 Tip $2.07 CA Tax $1.42 TOTAL: $20.74

Service: our server was kind and pleasant. Food arrived in a timely manner. Ambiance-average for the coast. I gave a 3 star because, while the breakfast was on par, later on in the day... not so good. We ate breakfast and headed south. Dessert review: On our return trip north at dinner time, we stopped in to get the chocolate cake as we were celebrating our 31st anniversary on 3/19. Husband went in without me and asked for chocolate cake. At first the worker began to cut "unusually small pieces" at ANY price point. My husband spoke up about how small the size. When the worker rung it up, the price was $30 for 2x , yes 2x, let me repeat that...2x pieces of cake!!!!! She had a bad attitude, she was rude, she was put out to provide good service to a paying customer. She justified $30 by saying the cake was from Cheese Cake Factory. I recognize good labor is hard to find on the coast. (I'm certain I've seen this same chocolate cake and cheese cake for sale at our local Grocery Outlet...about $30) I'm sorry for the restaurant that this is the best employee they could find. When my husband came out ... he was p.o.'ed. Then he told me the cake was a few dollars short of our breakfast price and $30 was charged to my card. I FLIPPED A GASKET AND WAS EVEN MORE P.O.'ed. We are locals and we feel SO RIPPED OFF AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF! My husband thinks he was hustled and gouged and overcharged BECAUSE HE WAS! Unfortunately, I don't think we'll return. Word to the wise, if the price isn't printed in the menu...buy at your own risk.

We chose Seaquake since it was one of the few restaurants that was open with a good rating. The wait time was estimated to be an hour and a half, so we put our names down and just ended up walking to the beach to kill time, but they actually confirmed our table in less than an hour. We ordered fish and chips and coconut prawns, and they were both delicious! I dare say these could be the best fish and chips I've had, but I do like the panko crust more than beer battered. The fish was very crispy, moist, and well-seasoned. The coconut prawns were also done well with the coconut being not too cloyingly sweet and the prawns again having a nice crispy texture. The salsa on the side was a nice refreshing complement too. For drinks, I ordered the battery point blonde ale and guava mango margarita. Both were very good. I should have gotten a few cans of the battery point. My bf got the redwood highway hazy IPA and orange sunstar. Overall, this was a great spot. This place had a great vibe and was packed every time we went, but never had an outrageous wait. The calamari strips are a MUST. The breading had great flavor and every-time we had them (we went several times) the calamari was cooked perfectly! They had a fish special the night I went that I think was snapper over jasmine rice with blistered tomatoes. Hands down one of the most delicately delicious, fresh meals I had during my stay. Their wings were also delicious. Crispy, but also so juicy. Fish and chips seems to be the go to here, which was VERY good but I will say, it's the same breading as the calamari so I'd order one or the other next time because it was similar in taste. But again, delicious, cooked perfect, and fresh! My girlfriend got the fish tacos which she loved! I really wish I got merch but they were out of our sizes! They sell so much of their beer there as well as clothes/hats/keychains etc. to go! Almost forgot, they make homemade root beer which is SO good. They serve it without ice and it is so smooth and delicious. Probably the best root beer I've had. Actually pretty devastated I live in PA and have nothing close to home that can even hold a candle to this place.
