Quaint little place in the French Quarter with balcony dining. We sat on the balcony-not a great choice. The stairs are very steep, which made it hard for the older people in our party. The view is nice and of course the experience, however, the balcony is slanted and moves. Very scary. We braved it anyway. We ordered apps that never came. Our drinks were never filled. We had to ask for our check. It seems the wait staff didn't care for the stair climb either-can't blame them. Food was decent, but we will sit downstairs from now on. read more

We ended up here because I didn't expect a long line at Napoleon House a block away. I ordered the Muffuletta Po Boy which had chopped ingredients from a muffuletta on a roll. The flavors were absolutely delicious, but the bread was chewy and gross. A good sandwich HAS to be on great bread, and every other po boy I've eaten has been on some type of crusty warm bread. This bread seemed like it was a day old. My co-worker ordered a salad with blackened chicken and OMG, they do some good-ass blackened chicken. That was delicious. The salad was a good size with lots of goodies inside. Service was slow even though it wasn't super crowded. We were kind of in a hurry but there's no sense of "lunch" here. Even after getting up and flagging her down to request the check, she cleared the table and took her time to get the check, then time to pick it up and bring it back. Ugh... The hostess was great and friendly but it went downhill from there. Our server was preoccupied vaping and on phone, finally greeted us. After quite a while and me glaring at him finally took our orders. Brought our drinks. Mine tasted like it had alcohol in it, hubby got water but never got his beer. Food came. His po boy was nothing to brag about. My chicken Quasadilla was good. Again server was too busy on his phone to see if we needed ketchup, condiments or anything. The host was definitely high, she smelled like marijuana and kept pacing around doing seemingly nothing while tables and places at the bar were left littered with dishes. A great spot to get some solid authentic new orleans food! I had the fried chicken club and the chicken was sooooo moist and tender! The fries were pretty good too. Two friends had the jambalaya with mixed reviews and another had the fried shrimp po'boy which he thought was solid! The staff was sooo friendly. We only had to wait about 10 minutes to sit on the balcony, so we just waited at the bar! Just a note, if you have a bigger group, you will be split if you wanna sit on the balcony. WELL , I went yesterday with my sister for dinner , we had black angus cheese burger, fried gulf shrimp poboy and cajun nachos . The food was greasy to begin with and salty . The service was good however 3 to 4 hours later we felt an upset stomach and severe abdominal pain and felt very nauseas. This meal was the only meal we had all day. I asked the person who actually brought us our food if I could have a glass of water and he legitimately told me "that's not my job" and left. Steakhouse pricing for dive bar food. It's just okay. Casual environment but overall lots to be desired. My huge shock is truly the bill, I don't feel like I got my money's worth. Nothing was extraordinary, I got better versions of the "staples" for much less money elsewhere. Ben in New Orleans for three days and had some of the best food anywhere however stopped in here on our last night and ordered a bottle of wine and three entrées and they brought us plastic glasses saying they be closing soon and the waiter said the bartender did not want to do any more dishes other than point glasses were right there at the bar.
