Small fry, the Rudy and the 305.
    Shannon Y.

The subs were amazing! It's very casual inside with plenty of seating. It was $50 for both of us. We had the 305, the Ruby and a small fry with 2 sodas. There was so much food that we could have split just 1 sub but glad we had two different ones to try. It was absolutely worth it and will be back to try different ones!

I'm taking a pause from guzzling down this food because my belly needs a break. Damn! This has beyond just being a good sub place. The culinary skills are in each layer of these sandwiches are next level. I'm crying with delight at each bite. Damn!

This little place is amazing! We stopped in while enjoying a weekend on the beach in NSB. We walked in and immediately thought how funky and cute the place is. After making our way to the counter, we realized just how nice the staff is. The guy working the register was honestly so nice and took the time to explain their awesome place and their menu. There were several items that sounded delicious and that makes it quite difficult to pick! We ended up sharing their "famous" cesar salad... crispy and fresh romaine lettuce, delicious croutons, perfectly tangy dressing, and topped with micro-planed egg and Parmesan cheese. YUM! We also shared their amazing house made pastrami sandwich. Perfection is the only word! We also shared a side of their fries since they looked amazing. They offer a really special and delicious malt vinegar aioli for dipping. I'm still thinking about this sauce. They serve beer and wine - and even had a fabulous orange wine from Spain I enjoyed a cold glass of. We absolutely loved our lunch here and cannot wait to return when we're in the area.

    The Belafonte and Boardwalk Fries

PACO Submarine is the perfect spot to grab sandwiches before or after the beach!! I ordered the Belafonte, which is their take on a BLTA. I also got some Boardwalk fries, because I cannot resist fries. I loveddd the sandwich so much, it was the perfect post-beach lunch. I could tell the fries were fresh and made in house. SO good. Make sure to grab some of the malt sauce -- soooo yummy. The owner said they just mix mayo with malt vinegar! It's a must. Speaking of the owner, he was so kind! We had a group of 6 with 2 babies and he came from behind the counter and asked two guys to move over so that we could all sit together. Then he brought high chairs for the little ones. All the staff were so friendly! The shop is order at the counter style and has a long bench with tables and chairs on the other side. There is another room with more seating if the main room is full. Highly recommend checking out PACO! I want to go back and try everything -- including their specials!

    What is in the LUPO
    Kim L.

Asked my grandson for a good place for a quick lunch and he didn't hesitate to suggest Paco Submarine. Although, since he is a transplanted Mainer he did say they were Italian sandwiches. We walked in and were greeted warmly, and our order was under way in minutes. I went for a BLT and Wayne opted for the special LUPO sandwich - I think he won but it was a close contest. The BLT was amazingly flavorful but super messy - and I really should remember that house smoked bacon - although the flavor was out of this world - is also more thick than I generally like it. Bread, sauces, fresh tomatoes and avocados were all exquisite. The LUPO was lunch meat, LTO, pistachio and sauces - also really great - in retrospect we probably should have ordered one sandwich and shared - but this way we gifted our other two halves of leftovers as we were headed out of town. Oh, the fries were crispy and salty and hot and do I need to say more! All good, reasonable and super fresh. The space is teeny, but well-decorated, clean and kinda fun.

    Caesar salad

While searching for some new places to try in NSB, I came across this restaurant. The photos of their sandwiches and fries looked promising. We got there a little after 5pm. A little early for dinner time. There were a few customers sitting outside, but we had the inside to ourselves. They guys working the counter were helpful and friendly. I ordered the Whaler and some of their beef tallow fries. My dad got the Rudy which had shaved ribeye with mushrooms, onions, and peppers. We also shared their small Caesar salad, which was still a pretty large portion with plenty to share. The salad was so good! Their dressing was amazing and it was topped with shredded Parmesan and fresh anchovies. Really one of the better Caesar salad's I've had. The fries were perfect. They are freshly cut slices of potato, not a bag of frozen store bought fries. I dipped the fries in their malt sauce, which complemented the fries well. My sandwich was also really good. The Whaler had dill brined chicken and homemade thick cut bacon. It was really flavorful. They don't skimp on the fillings either. We both only finished half of our sandwiches and boxed the other half to go. Everything tasted really fresh, flavorful, but not greasy. This place makes some killer sandwiches, and I'll definitely be back.

You order at the register, they give you a number & you pick where you want to sit. Casual ambience with some reggae surfer type music. Looks like a local go to place. You can see them cook your food and it was quick. Food is flavorful so expect your palette to get hit with various seasonings. Will return

Tipsy Unicorn is one of those spots you don't just stumble into... you find it. And once you do, you realize pretty quickly why people keep coming back. I've been here more times than I can count, and somehow it still feels like a great find every single time. The food is legit. Not just something to go along with a drink, but something you actually look forward to. That Dagwood wrap in the photo... stacked, fresh, and exactly what you want when you sit down and take a breath for a bit. Simple, done right. And the flights... always the move. They're thoughtfully crafted, and what really stands out is how much intention is behind everything they're doing. There's a creativity here that goes beyond just what's on the board. You can feel it in how the beers are built and how they're meant to be experienced. It gives you something a little different every time without ever feeling forced. But what really makes this place what it is... it's the feel. I'm not from here, and not once have I ever felt like an outsider. It's one of those places that just pulls you in. Comfortable, easy, and genuinely welcoming in a way that's hard to fake. And the people... they want you to feel at home. And they absolutely deliver on that. I've posted about this place more times than I probably should have already, and here I am again. That probably tells you everything you need to know. Get off the interstate. Go find it. Dinner plans the other night started the way many great family evenings do--complete confusion and…read moremild hunger-induced panic. We had company over, and the original plan was our classic "let's see what's hiding in the freezer and pretend it was intentional" dinner strategy. Unfortunately, reality set in. My wife was exhausted, and I have to admit something publicly: I'm only a competent cook under two conditions--ample prep time and my beloved Instant Pot. Remove either of those variables and my culinary skills quickly resemble a survival cooking show. I wasn't quite ready to debut my "experimental freezer casserole surprise" for guests. So the family meeting began. Chinese food? Nope--someone just had it. Pizza? Also no--apparently that was last night's adventure. Burgers? Absolutely not. One of the teens dramatically declared, "Not today, Satan." Then, out of nowhere, a teenager casually drops a suggestion that stopped the room: "Barbecue from a place called Crave." Barbecue? Interesting. But... none of us had ever heard of this place. Naturally, the next question was: Where is it? And that's when the real twist arrived. Apparently Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ is inside Walmart Supercenter. Yes. Inside Walmart. At this point I was convinced the teenager had been scrolling too much TikTok. A barbecue restaurant... in Walmart? I had to see this with my own eyes. So off we went. Sure enough, tucked right inside the store was this little barbecue spot that looked like it had no business being that good. The smell alone should have been illegal to pump into a retail environment. You walk in expecting to buy paper towels and leave smelling like you just visited a smokehouse in Texas. And the food? Surprisingly fantastic. The barbecue had that smoky flavor that makes you pause mid-bite and say, "Okay... hold on... this is actually really good." The portions were generous, the menu had plenty of options, and somehow the whole thing managed to feel both fast and freshly made. The real miracle of the evening was that everyone--kids, guests, and the exhausted adults--walked away happy and full. No experimental freezer meals were required, and my reputation as a "competent host" lived to see another day. Final verdict: If someone tells you there's legit barbecue inside Walmart, don't argue--go investigate. You might walk in skeptical, but you'll probably walk out full, impressed, and wondering how you discovered a hidden barbecue joint in the same place you buy laundry detergent.
