COVID ASIDE - I don't write YELP reviews about a food / dining experience based off a flu bug. THIS PLACE IS AWSOME !!!! Ask for Billy. He was our over loaded waiter working 2 jobs - and he never let his foot off the gas pedal. EVERYTHING came out correct, on time, even added extras. HOW MANY RESTAURANTS CAN SAY THAT RIGHT NOW? I'm in town from North Dallas Texas. I've had more than my fair share of good, great and excellent food and service. I WILL BE BACK - BEFORE I LEAVE. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT !!!! The manager even roamed the floor and checked every table. GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE!!!

Food 4.5 Service 4 Ambiance 3.5 When we first entered, the 3 hostesses did not have it together. Maybe they were being trained but it was a mess. We requested a booth and were told a 10-15 minute wait. Although it was a shorter wait when we came up there the hostesses said there wasn't a booth available and is it ok for a high top. What was the point of asking us our preference in the first place. Our waitress wasn't friendly per se but she was on top of things and I prefer that. I didn't like the first drink I ordered (Banana Bread Old Fashioned) and she immediately remedied it and I ordered a Moscow Mule instead. She checked on it when it hadn't come in a timely fashion and made sure I got it and apologized for the wait since the bar was slammed. We ordered a dozen oysters and they were FRESH! I should've ordered a dozen more! I encountered a little shell but it comes with the territory of eating oysters. I ordered Otherside Tuna and enjoyed it. It was like a deconstructed seared tuna sushi salad without rice. We ordered the Combo Platter for each of us and that was a great deal for all the food and once again, everything tasted fresh! The fried seafood was bland but the sauces made up for the taste. It seems like the tartar sauce is house made and it's really good! I would come back because the seafood is so fresh!

We've been here a couple of times now, but nothing really jumps out as outstanding. Food and service were average. Asked the waitress if the wings were served naked, and she thought that meant without sauce. Every other joint I've been in when I asked for the wi is to be served naked, which means they aren't breaded. Anyway, average food, average service in a pleasant atmosphere.

I have enjoyed steamed oysters here on multiple occasions. Yesterday sat at the bar and the staff was awesome. Enjoyed some fish dip which came with tortilla chips and extra diced jalapeños. My friend and I each enjoyed a dozen steamed oysters which came with the standard melted butter, cocktail sauce, horseradish and plenty of crackers. Nice decor at this spot. Great local place. A few doors down from Bob Ross's gallery. There is outdoor seating but we enjoyed the AC inside.

Highly highly highly recommend this place! Service is top notch, great drink selection , awesome oysters!! A tad small BUT very fresh and clean Virginia oysters. Didn't hit one of the oyster special nights do they are $2 a pop. We also got the calamari and the crab and shrimp dip. That is awesome!!! Very good amount of fries for the price too! I see another night or two eating here during our week vacation.

Came to OTH with my family for a casual dinner with lots of seafood. I really liked the casual decor with plenty of TVs for sports ( and not a super loud volume). We jumped into the oysters Rockefeller and raw bar shrimp followed by plenty of mains to share : the grouper Reuben, shrimp Po boy and the shrimp basket accompanied by fries and Slaw . Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was super friendly . This place was great and very very reasonable as well !! Great pick for seafood in New Smyrna !

Been awhile so we set our sights here on the Memorial Day weekend.... Got right in ... I ordered the blackened fish cod tacos. I bought my own zero carbs tortillas and the kitchen offered to used them. Very good ! Andrea ordered the Prince Edward Island mussels (she always orders them) Her response was they were great. Kathleen kept my water glass full and checked on our dinner progress . I score a 7.7786. Do try off the hook, they source local fish.

Raw clams, middle necks they're a bit big for our liking but very fresh

The daily special was recommended to me by the guy taking my order. He answered all of my questions without any hesitation and giving me his honest feedback. They have a desert that rotates daily and when I was there it was a chocolate banana pie which was excellent. Then I also ordered a large fries to share with my wife and her friend and that bag was stuffed to the top with fries. They were amazing fries and I saw the peeling and cutting them in house. The ambiance was very much a beach vibe. It was a cute place that you could go to in your swim suits and no one would notice. I would definitely check out Paco subs again next time I'm in NSB

Found an absolute gem at Paco's Subs & Seafood in New Smyrna Beach…read more We ordered the local seafood basket, the Clayton, and the Paco burger and everything was seriously impressive. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, the Clayton was loaded and full of flavor, and the Paco burger was easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. You can tell they care about the quality of what they're serving. What really stood out though was the owner. He took the time to talk with us, was incredibly kind, and even gave my kids some free stickers which made their day. That kind of genuine hospitality sticks with you. Great food, great people, and a place that clearly takes pride in what they do. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in town.

They were all very good. I went to Chase's a few times. A couple times walking off the beach to have a beer at their beach bar that kind of dangles over the beach. There I met 2 excellent and attentive bartenders. Billy and Katie are great. Making sure everyone is aware of the specials with a quick wit and totally enjoying their jobs. I noticed that the food delivered to patrons around me looked really good. Good prices with a great view of the ocean. A great beach bar. Saturday night I came back for dinner at their inside restaurant. Excellent valet parking. Newly remodelled and bright upscale restaurant. Kayla was super friendly. My fish sandwich (sheepshead) was prepared perfectly with a good portion. We also had the bruschetta appetiser, it was also good. Service makes a restaurant great.

The drinks averaged about $13 a piece which is higher end but not bad for the view and the experience. We had lunch entrees - I had the surf and turf tacos which were just okay, a bit dry with lots of a seasoning. The ahi wontons looked really creatively prepared. Service from Gabrielle was decent - she did have a lot of tables to handle on a busy Saturday. With tip and tax and drinks, pricing average about $50 per person all in. While the restaurant does have a parking lot, it does get busy on weekends - We parked directly across the street at a dirt lot. I'd recommend, and certainly go back when looking for a fun hangout.

Tipsy Unicorn is one of those spots you don't just stumble into... you find it. And once you do, you realize pretty quickly why people keep coming back. I've been here more times than I can count, and somehow it still feels like a great find every single time. The food is legit. Not just something to go along with a drink, but something you actually look forward to. That Dagwood wrap in the photo... stacked, fresh, and exactly what you want when you sit down and take a breath for a bit. Simple, done right. And the flights... always the move. They're thoughtfully crafted, and what really stands out is how much intention is behind everything they're doing. There's a creativity here that goes beyond just what's on the board. You can feel it in how the beers are built and how they're meant to be experienced. It gives you something a little different every time without ever feeling forced. But what really makes this place what it is... it's the feel. I'm not from here, and not once have I ever felt like an outsider. It's one of those places that just pulls you in. Comfortable, easy, and genuinely welcoming in a way that's hard to fake. And the people... they want you to feel at home. And they absolutely deliver on that. I've posted about this place more times than I probably should have already, and here I am again. That probably tells you everything you need to know. Get off the interstate. Go find it. Support local when you can. It matters. This is one of those spots.

Great Spot for a Casual Seafood Lunch!…read more I went here for a late birthday lunch with my partner because we were hungry for seafood Our waitress was super friendly, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We were seated in a cozy booth, and I immediately noticed the fun decor--tons of license plates from different states, some with funny names or messages. It added a quirky, welcoming vibe that we really enjoyed. The atmosphere was good, but not too loud. I started with the clam chowder, and my partner had the lobster bisque--both were absolutely delicious. My chowder had a generous amount of fresh clams and was rich and flavorful, but it wasn't heavy fo my stomach. For my main dish, I had the blackened white fish with coleslaw and fried sweet potato. The lemon was the perfect touch on the fish, the coleslaw was super fresh, and the sweet potato fries were crispy and satisfying. Overall, we had a great time. I'd definitely recommend this place.

The service is top notch and if anyone notices that you need a refill they take care of you, even though they aren't your server. It feels like a family member is running the place and taking care to ensure a good meal and welcoming atmosphere. Boston's isn't a big restaurant so peak dining hours will probably mean a wait, but it's definitely worth it. Their New England Clam Chowder is silky smooth in the most luxurious way, filled with fresh meat and undoubtedly made from the finest ingredients. Several restaurants in NSB serve a good clam chowder but Boston's is my favorite. If you want to treat yourself get the bowl size serving but the cup size is a great starter choice. We visited twice during our one week stay. The first time I got fish and chips and the second time I got the 12 piece jumbo shrimp dinner with fries. Both times I chose the baked beans for a side. You can't go wrong with any choice but those beans are great. There's no way I can eat 12 shrimp so I always have the treat of a snack the next day. My husband got the blackened mahi mahi and said it was fantastic. The second time he also chose the 12 piece shrimp dinner but with coleslaw and onion rings! Take a look at the picture, the rings were terrific. I definitely prefer the thinner rings over the large ones that some places serve. Boston's is a must for visitors to NSB. The menu states that it's the best seafood in New Smyrna Beach and they certainly get my hearty recommendation.
