Most recently was Winter 2026 and we stayed at Johnson Suite (Awesome, great for families!) and Gull Lake Baby house (Not our favorite but still very workable for our family of four). Each time, they've been super accommodating and helpful. It's a weird thing to say about a property management company, but it's actually enjoyable working with them. Even once when my wife left something in one of the units and we were there on a subsequent trip, they allowed us to return to our previous rental (unrented at the time) to recover the item if it were there...and it was; made my wife super happy. To the individual who gave them a bad review because of the pricing / fees: It's fine that you disagree with the fees, I don't think anybody likes them. To rate a company poor because you don't like their pricing is a bit amateur - just don't rent from them if it's too expensive. Don't complain about the price, not rent from them, then review them poorly -- that's bush league.

We booked our own room, which worked out well and was a good value for the price. Important note: don't leave food in your car. A bear had ripped into someone's vehicle for food while we were there, so always store it properly. Overall, a clean, budget-friendly stay with handy kitchen facilities--great for a short stop in Mammoth.

It turns out there was a booking error where our reservation was made for the same dates next year. The person who came to the office, Martha, was short tempered and rude. She was off-put by having to come to the office to help us. She showed us the booking error, and at midnight in the cold was going to leave us without a place to stay. At no point did we get upset, but we were trying come up with problem solving solutions by asking if we could rebook either with her or online. As she was saying she couldn't open the booking program and denying us a reservation, she opened the program and took our reservation. I am grateful we ended up with a place to stay, but was offended at the attitude that we were given.

I'm happy to be the first to review this cozy, tri-level accommodation as my friends and I have made a ton of fond memories here. As you can see by my pictures provided, this particular condo has a lot of room! Can easily accommodate 7-8 persons maximum. The master bedroom with a bathroom and extra bedroom is located on the first floor. The second floor contains the living room, bathroom, fireplace, bar, television, kitchen and outside balcony. The third floor has two twin beds and a full sized air mattress. The décor is as if you're staying at a ski-lodge with a lot of plaid and a ski-shot located behind the bar. I love the fireplace. It takes one push of a button to start up a cozy, warm fire and one fills it with wooden pellets to keep the fire going. Two large jacuzzis and swimming pool located around the corner from this particular rental -what more can one ask for in a ski weekend rental? Easy accessible buses for public transportation, restaurants and bars located within a mile walking distance. The house rules are located by the front entrance, at the start of the stairs, FYI.

We have since exchanged the sleeper sofa and are consistently making improvements to the unit. The Yetisuite is not a luxurious unit however we are very proud of our efforts to make improvements every chance we get. We have owned the unit for ten years. The rental income helps pay a small fraction of our monthly costs associated with owning and we feel our pricing is fair and our unit a very competitive option. There used to be cleaning instructions on our old website because we required guests to clean. Now we use Stay In Mammoth's cleaning service and pass the cost to guests - $25 linen service and $50 for the departure clean fee. They keep track of our vacancy calendar, prep the unit, clean and are our eyes. A mid stay clean can be scheduled too. Our current goal is to make it feel more like a Swiss Chalet. Jon and his wife Jenny (the other owners) designed the current layout. Jenny made the curtains, helped shop for the current decor and the changes have been getting positive reviews. We plan to get new carpet on the main floor and purchase two bar stools. First, let me say that Eric, one of the owners of the cabin seems like a really nice guy. He…read moreresponded quickly to my first inquiry for the rental of the studio loft, gave me many links for local things to do, etc. It was my son's 18th birthday and I also mentioned this to Eric. He then sent additional pictures of the loft (which were really nice). Upon arrival we very quickly noticed that most of the furniture in the photos had been removed. Apparently the "futon" mentioned (which looked pretty nice in the pictures compared to the thrift store-like pull out couch which was BROKEN by way of the mesh platform which holds the VERY thin and old mattress was torn on both ends so the kids had to sleep sideways. I emailed the owner only mentioning that the bed was uninhabitable to which he responded: "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we'll check it when we visit next time. There are other beds you can use". As if I didn't see the other beds? Also, there were chairs around the kitchen counter which had been removed. The table in the very small living room had a bench with two very rickety chairs (I weigh about 145 lbs and almost fell through one of them). The futon? Not there. A fully stocked kitchen? Really? There was one skillet which was Teflon that was badly scratched. The linens (hopefully they were clean) we rolled up and placed with some thin blankets under the stairs. The bed upstairs was a fair queen-sized bed but by no means "a pillow-top" mattress. It was firm but only OK. The carpet, throughout, is in dire need of replacement and/or at the least, a good cleaning. I was charged $260.00 for two nights, it wasn't clear what part of this was a "cleaning fee" and along with the directives that arrived once I wired money into Eric's banking account (thereby I I rec'd a list of actions which basically consisted of directives to CLEAN the entire unit)? Also, no vacumn to be found (which was part of the thorough cleaning directives). What was the cleaning fee for? Another part of the directive was to wash the sheets. Was the cleaning fee only used to pay to have someone change the sheets? Again, not clear. I would say a fair assessment of what this unit should cost to rent would be $57.00 per night (as it is advertised on a free website) and a refundable cleaning deposit should anything arise above and beyond normal use. Then, around 10:45 a lady knocked on the door to say that checkout was at 10AM (this was nowhere on the paperwork) and that we had to leave. Thank god we had washed the sheets and CLEANED the unit prior to her arrival. Whaat was the $75.00 or $100 fee for? List of false advertisements: 1) The "2 cable TV's" which were a part of the advertisement? Not two TV's. However, a very large flat screen in the living room. 2) The Jacuzzi was dirty and then it was closed. (It would have been nice to be informed that it was non-operational and not available on July 4th, which is part of the reason why we rented a place with a Jacuzzi) One of the jacuszzi's the manager mentioned had been shut down because someone had broken a glass in it 3) There was no "dry sauna" 4) The fold out couch looked as though it had been plucked off of the street or at a local thrift store. It was non-functional and BROKEN 5) The "fully stocked kitchen" did indeed have plates, flatware, cups and glasses but only ONE severely scratched Teflon skillet? Not fully stocked by any means (and, a coffee maker but no filters)? 6) The carpet was badly soiled and in need of replacement 7) The drain was blocked in the upstairs bathroom sink (slow drain) 8) Water pressure in the semi-renovated bathroom was low Pictures of the unit and its amenities need to be updated, immediately, to offer an accurate assessment of its CURRENT condition and what the rental ACTUALLY includes. A clear bait and switch, in our opinion. Also, it was listed on craigslist at $57.00 per night? That's more like it. I'm not sure how the pricing is determined but it seems like $57.00 per night is a far better nightly rental pricing. Not a penny more. Last, I emailed the owner upon our return to outline our dissatisfaction and report the misrepresentations. It's fairly clear that his interests lie mostly in volume but more in monetary gain. Of course, no reply from the owner (so that is why I wanted to be sure to paint a clear picture of this rental unit). Also, last but not least: I am not a believer in ghosts or the paranormal but doors were rattling and a plate flew across the room while we were all seated at the table. We were shocked and truly frightened/dismayed. The kids (17 & 18) begged me to leave but I convinced them that there were explanations for those things (not sure how, but I could not afford to stay elsewhere). So, not only was it unkempt but it was HAUNTED? Thank god we were only there two days. That might be of some value to some ghost-enthusiasts but not to us. All in all a horrible first-time Mammoth experience.
