Been a long time since coming here and didn't disappoint. The gentleman that helped us order was very cool and helpful. Love the pin pad on the bathroom. Code is 0420. Bathrooms were pretty clean and well maintained. All of the subs they have are named after strains of Cannabis and have a great lineup of subs. We came in right when they opened and they had a lot of internet and delivery orders and they let us know it was about a 20 minute wait. I had the Jamaican Red salad so they are Keto friendly and loved the sauce and they slice the jalapeños long way and gives the salad some great heat and use red leaf lettuce for the base. I really enjoyed it. Apollo 13 the bread was fresh and crunchy and the sun was fantastic. 5 stars is a must for crew and food. They also have an area where they serve beer and alcohol. The place is in dire need to deep clean. Place is grimey. We even got hair on our grimey sticky table stand, and if you look under the fountain drink area it's filthy under there, something definitely crawls under there at night and mold on ice is probably present too. This place is solid. They have a ton of variety of subs and you have to appreciate their commitment to their brand! From Dazed and Confused memorabilia, chuckle worthy sub names (sensi kush, dank, magic mushroomed, etc...), and their drink station being called cotton mouth cures. They go all in and create a pretty dope environment. The people are friendly, the subs are awesome, and they have treats. They also have a full bar so whatever your poison- they can accommodate. When it comes to toasted subs I'm always weary that the toasting of the bread will make it too tough to enjoy but they have a perfect balance of toasted but still soft and fresh. Excellent service, food and vibes. Came in around 12:20pm and ordered the La Canna, White Widow and pretzel bites. We sat at the bar and ordered Sandia Watermelon Cider (and laughed with the bartender at the name; watermelon watermelon cider. Cider was absolutely delicious! The first women who served us drinks wasn't the main bartender but was very friendly and nice to talk to, when the main bartender came she introduced us to him and made sure we were set. The food came out nicely presented and hot. The sandwiches where made to perfection. And the chicken in the white widow was nice and juicy. Both were flavorful and stuffed full of yummy ingredients. Very enjoyable! The pretzel bites were ok, nothing special and wouldn't order them again. We tasted a couple more beers and ended up mixing Social Hour and Sandia Watermelon Cider; a recommendation from the bartender. It was surprisingly a great combination. We also ordered a HotBox mixed drink, extra spicy. The bartender was excellent and muddled, mixed, shook and poured perfectly! Very much appreciated and great to chat with. Today while my fiance was at the bank, I came over here for a sandwich. I was SO happy to see this Westside location, but also more locations in New Mexico in general. I loved Cheba Hut when I was at CU Boulder and living in Denver. When I walked in, it was an atmosphere I remembered, laid back, supportive of alternative lifestyles and cultures, and smelling great. The menu has so many options, it can be overwhelming. I opted for the Apollo 13 this time and enjoyed my purchase. I seem to recall they used to offer tempheh bacon as an alternative for some meats, but I didn't notice it on the menu. It could be something they don't offer here, or that just isn't popular enough to carry. I can't wait to go back. I hope my fiance finds something he also likes here so we can add it to our rotation of places to eat, especially with the local beers on tap. read more

I asked how long it was out for and they told me it's been like that since Friday. I took my tools inside and it was 98 degrees with 200% humidity. I don't think I've ever craved a sandwich place as much as I now crave Cheba Hut. I had never been to one before this past Monday. I knew of the one near UNM, but never went out of my way to go there as it just wasn't in a convenient location. But when this one on the Westside opened fairly close to where I live, I decided to try it, and boy am I glad I did! I went for dinner by myself on Monday, convinced my husband to go for lunch by himself on Tuesday (I wasn't able to go with him due to my work schedule), and went back for dinner again with my husband on Wednesday. I'm thinking about going again for lunch tomorrow. The sandwiches are delicious, the service is friendly and quick, and they even have a bar with a very decent tap selection and specialty cocktails. You can't get a spiked Kool Aid or Marble Double White at Subway, folks! I am going to be eating here VERY often! read more

WHOA! I didn't even smoke anything before I got the Kali Mist Blunt. But after the third bite I realized I was eating the best thing I've eaten in New Mexico since I moved here from Silicon Valley. I could have used mored toasting on my sandwich but everything else was so spot on I could care less. The lettuce was crispy, the chipotle mayo just right and the chicken moist and flavorful. My husband had the AK-47, French dip and chips. His sandwich was okay he said, nothing too exciting. My sandwich, the Dank was soggy. Yes, there is pizza sauce on there which led to the sogginess, but either there was too much sauce or it sat too long, I'm not sure which exactly. I do know that when the person who brought out our food came to clear our table 3/4 of my sandwich remained and they never asked if there was something wrong. That was something that should have been asked after seeing so much being thrown away. The pretzel bites were very good as was the honey mustard dip. The restaurant was clean and not crowded at all. My fam took me here to try out and I was super excited, but it was not worth it. I liked the interior and the vibe, but the food was mediocre. Ordered 2 Albu-chronic subs and a Thai Stick. It took 37 minutes for our order to be made from the time I paid for the order and I even tipped 20%. I've never had a sub in my life take that long and the Albu Chronic sandwiches were drier than my scalp and they were luke warm when they got to us and I don't think there was any "house driessing" on there because had to drink my ice tea to wash it down cause it was so dry. Also, they close the kitchen at 10pm I guess, but the bar is open till midnight. You might also want to tell your employees not to sit on the counter top while counting the till, no one wants anyone's ass on a food counter, that's disgusting and unsanitary. I know what double meat looks like. I've been there around 50 times. Did not put the sauce on the side as requested. When you are getting a double meat large sub you're not going to eat in one sitting and the sauce will make the bread soggy the next day.
