I've been a fan of Cheba Hut for years. In my opinion they have some of the best sandwiches around. This place is basically a marijuana themed restaurant. The sandwiches are named after different kinds of pot, as are the sizes. There's a big joint hanging over there register and another on the back wall. There's a cool Cheech and Chong art piece by the bar. There are some pretty cool murals - - one by the restroom and another really awesome one on the small patio. There are tons of stickers on the plexiglass behind the long booths. It's just kind of a mellow, cool place. Definitely not dancing. I ordered the Afghani nug. It's not on the menu, but they will make you any sandwich from the past. There was a little mix up because I ordered a side of hummus and a side of fresh veggies to dip in the hummus. However, when my sandwich came they put the hummus on my sandwich. It was fine - - it tasted good on the sandwich--and someone brought me side of hummus to eat with my veggies. I even got the red Kool-Aid, which I rarely do because it is not sugar-free. It did, however, hit the spot! The sandwiches here are amazing. I think everybody needs to come to Cheba Hut at some time in their life.

Whoever said to add jalapeno cream cheese and replace the turkey with chicken is amazing. The bartender said that. I didn't even know Cheba hut had a bar. I had a drink and ate my delicious sandwich. The service here is so friendly and so chill. I like eating here because of the vibes.

I was so excited to discover that Cheba Hut is literally 5 minutes from where I live! I actually tried them for the first time at their new location off Shea Blvd, where I work. My boss treated the staff to lunch, and I ordered the "Pacific Blue" -- it was amazing and I'd been craving it ever since. Imagine my surprise when I found out there's a location on Southern -- and I've lived in the area for three years without realizing it! I brought my boyfriend along, and we decided to dine in and grab drinks since they also have a bar. I got the "Dank" sub this time (highly recommend!), and he ordered the chicken marinara with added bacon. He went with a draft beer, and I enjoyed a mimosa while we waited. The vibe inside was super chill -- not too busy but definitely lively, with a steady stream of customers. Our bartender was also our server, and he was fantastic -- super friendly and helpful. Prices are fair, portions are solid, and the quality is great. I'm a very happy customer and excited to become a regular. Love having a fun, casual spot like this so close to home!

This food was phenomenal. I'm usually not a sub person and try to stay away from them, but my friends convinced me to come, and boy, was I surprised. The manager on duty kept asking if we were good and offered to throw our trays away, and he was very sweet. There were stickers all over the walls, the music wasn't too loud, and the overall vibe was immaculate. I would definitely come back again.

White Widow (Chicken, Bacon & Ranch) double toasted Pinner
    Jon H.

Another late night craving for a White Widow got the best of me! Looove this sandwich! A friend of mine told me I should request it "double toasted".....and they weren't wrong! I've been to this place a number of times and it's always a great vibe for my friends and I. It's become somewhat of our "go to" spot. On a scale of 1 to 10, if you've never had a White Widow and are a fan of Turkey, Bacon, Ranch.....get your butt over here!! You won't regret it at all!

Skip the Jimmy John's in the same parking lot and come here for a fantastic sandwich! This place was great! I ordered the Italian and was not disappointed. Pros: - their toasted bread! - friendly staff! - fresh ingredients! - 3 flavors of koolaid on tap - a bar - cool stoner/skater vibe Cons: - music was a little loud for this old man I highly recommend! I'll be back very soon!

This was the worst sandwich ever $35.00 for Kali mist (blunt) chips and drink !! Wtf is the meat??? I'm so tired of places scamming! If I wanted all veggies I would have ordered!!! What a joke!!! People beware! Stop accepting this BS....

This place is great! Food is sooo good I always get the white widow (def recommend). The workers in there are amazing and really helpful. I would come back here again!!!

Decided…read moreto pull out my phone. and instead of using Yelp, I actually just punched cheesesteak into Waze, and what do you know?! I ended up finding the cheesesteak joint. This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

It's a seat yourself joint. Focusing seating around the focal point, the big bar area. Atmosphere is pleasant, spacious and welcoming! Decent selection of food options. Huge draft, craft beer selection. The staff is friendly & offers just the right amount of attention. You won't wait long to be welcomed, for your food, for a refill or for your receipt at the end of your dining experience. We started with their honey hot wings. Our party of three decided to split one of the numerous salads they offer & went with the steak & walnut salad. It includes grilled steak slices, blue cheese crumbles & crispy onion rings ( made in house) . The dressing was a light vinaigrette that made this a delicious & delightful thing to share amongst us all. For dinner we went with one of their "create your own" pizzas. Our favorite toppings are: pepperoni, garlic & basil. This was a great presentation & pie! From service to staff, to cooks in the kitchen we had a great dining experience! Everything was legit. We will be back to try a burger next time. This is a really cool place with a wide selection of outstanding food & bar beverage options. Highly recommend it.

Despite this, there was only one person working -- a server who was also acting as the bartender -- trying to handle everything. At one point, a woman came in to pick up a to-go order and stood waiting for quite a while. When the server finally got to her, she joked, "Are you the server, bartender, and cook?" His response: "I just don't cook." Her food still wasn't ready, so she had to keep waiting. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa, which cost $9.55 but was only about three-quarters full in the wine glass. Why serve it like that? It just felt skimpy. After finishing my drink, I sat for another 10 minutes waiting to close out my tab. This was actually my second visit. We came once before for dinner with friends since we all live in Mesa and thought the concept was cool and close to home. Unfortunately, the service then was just as bad, even with more staff on shift. I had hoped stopping in for a quick drink would be a better experience -- but sadly, it wasn't. I won't be back. It's a shame because the place has potential, but management really needs to take staffing seriously.

So many cool games to play, lots of drink choices, and an inviting atmosphere makes this place a great venue to visit for a night out with friends or even a solo visit! Unfortunately, that is only when this place is functioning properly. The food is really not great, but my biggest gripe by far about this place is the service. I have gotten good service maybe three times.Every other time the servers either do not come to us, take extremely long, or are rude and acting like we're messing up their day by asking for basic customer service. Just the other day my friend and I ordered tower station. When we received the beers, they were absolutely not tower station. We asked to switch beers and our first server was very kind and accommodating. Then out of nowhere came this (im assuming supervisor?) that said "what happened with the beers? I checked the keg its fine." with a super rude attitude. It was so awkward my whole friend group talked about it afterwards. Additionally, I don't think I have ever had the same server/bartender twice. The turnover rate is likely very high. This place has so much potential. I really wish the owners took its management seriously and hired some competent servers. Want to rate it higher.
