I went here and got a couple of sandwiches, as I was told they had good food by a friend who got it from a location in Colorado. The sandwich was decent, though when my sandwich was being prepared, I asked if I could get some extra sauce on it, to which the gentleman making it scoffed and said, 'You've got to pay extra for that at the register.' I understand some restaurants do charge for extra sauce, though when I am paying $20 per sandwich, I'd hope the customer service would be at least somewhat considerate and not act like I'm a nuisance for asking about extra sauce on my sandwich. In other words, the employees here are rude so if the response to my first review of 'they are just doing their job' by scoffing and treating me like I should've known beforehand their arbitrary decision to charge for sauce, then it's foolish business. read more

Absolutely love this place. All of the sandwiches and their "munchies" are wonderful, hot and fresh! I usually get the AK-47 since it's been so cold, but the flavor is amazing! Cheba Hut in the IE! Cheba Hut in Las Vegas has been a favorite of ours for the most delicious sandwiches. I took my sweetheart here on his birthday as a special treat and the food at this location did t not let us down. He got the Kali Mist and I went with the 5-0. This is what we usually get and it was just as delicious as we had hoped. Next time I'm trying his choice. It looked so good with the avocado. The atmosphere was a bit different than at the Las Vegas locations we have visited. Instead of a hippy dippy vibe, in Riverside, it is more gangsta/underground clinic feel. There is free parking at the Hampton which we did not realized until we had walked from a street spot down the block. This is a recommend for tasty sandwiches in the IE. read more

(No, not all in once sitting) The 5-0 had All the Pig, Baby! As at least that's what it says on the menu. it's Smoked ham, Genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon, Giardiniera peppers & cheddar. The Acapulco Gold Grilled chicken breast topped with BBQ sauce & Swiss And the White Widow has Grilled chicken breast smothered in our signature ranch dressing, topped with 'shrooms, bacon & provolone. Each one of these subs was delicious! And that's not the weed talking. It's hard to explain why but I feel like it taste far better than subs at subway or any of these other places. Perhaps it's because of that bread, proprietary Parisian bread hand-rolled, hand-scored and baked by a bakery that has been in the business for over 50 years and Made in three blends! WHITE WHOLE WHEAT SIGNATURE GARLIC HERB. Or it could be the way the meats and veggies are prepared. I know know but I do know my mouth approves. Oh and try the cereal bars! I love Cheba Hut I was so happy when I saw one was opening near my home. In my opinion they have the best bread idk what it is but it's just super delicious. They do sprinkle some herb potion or in their Cheba hut terms "Shake" so that might be the reason. This is a 4:20 "vibe" type of sub shop just an FYI..... Anyway, let's get into the review.... Customer service is great! Everyone is super friendly and helpful. They have a variety of items on the menu from subs to salads to brownies their version of nachos. We ordered a kali mist sub which is basically their version of a California club a very spicy one at that so if you're not into spice just switch the sauce to a less spicy one and maybe even skip on the jalapeños! I love their munchie options. We picked up two cereal bars aka Rice Krispy bars and ugh they are just delightful. The marshmallow literally melts in your mouth. It tastes extra good after smoking a nice bowl . They also have a bar with alcoholic beverages and I ordered a gin and juice which was the perfect sidekick to my sub! They do provide online ordering and pick up as well as to go alcoholic beverages. All in all a definite must go if you're craving a toasty delicious sub or maybe some nachos with a kool- aid. It was such a warm night we decided to walk down and try this place out. The layout is pretty straight forward....wall menu overhead with a line to order and booths to the side (of course not currently in use). We arrived literally as a group of 8 went in to order so I expected a long wait......only to be pleasantly surprised that they were very efficient and very quick! We ordered the Midwest Blunt, LaCanna Blunt, Grilled Chicken and bacon salad and red Kool aid. Although very busy our order was correct, food was fresh and quite tasty. We'll be back! This would have been a 5 star but the Kool aid was just okay and one of the sandwiches was a little dry.....I'm fairly sure this will be upgraded the next time I visit. I hadn't been to Cheba Hut in years. 6 to be exact. You can imagine my excitement when I realized there was one located in downtown Riverside not too far from where the Mission Inn Races were located. This location felt much more upscale and clean than the one I went to when I lived in AZ lol This location also had a bar which was new to me but also welcomed. I ordered the A-Train veggie sub and a couple mimosas and I was in heaven. The food tasted just as good as it did all those years ago if not better, and our bartender was sooo nice and friendly along with the rest of the staff. I highly recommend Cheba Hut if you love sandwiches. They top Subway and Jersey Mike's (if you're into those places) and even Jimmy Johns (which is saying a lot cause I love Jimmy Johns). The stoner theme adds even more to the ambience. It's a very creative way to pay homage Mary Jane and all she does for humanity. Need to advocate for more parking, Sysco truck took up all of the parking today when trying to take family to try it for their first time. Construction is hurting business, then parked near hotel and the parking lot gentleman came out and told us to move because it was strictly for hotel use only, I explained I used hotel parking for Cheba use in the past and he said: no, parking for hotel only go park somewhere else. There was no parking near so we went to eat where we can park close and not walk a quarter mile in rain. read more

The service was unremarkably slow. My beer was hot and the bartender that day was rude. It happens, I understand. The sandwich i received wasn't what I ordered, but I demolished it anyways....cause they're good....and, I'm not that guy. Came here because I was told many times that this place was hot and I needed to give it a try. Glad I did. So while I'm not the biggest fan of cheese (adorn me with hate IDC) I really liked the options here. I came and decided to pick up a meatball sandwich which they call the "Bomb", I believe. I asked for the cheese to be held and the service was excellent. I told them I was new to their establishment and the cashier helped me through with suggestions and info. Wish I had gotten his name. I saw many items which I think I'll have to come back for in the future as well. Once I got to eating my sandwich it was very delicious. The marinara sauce was thick and well seasoned. The bread was decent and the peppers and mushrooms were very tasty. The meatballs were good as well. I also had the garlic bread for a side. I'm a starch monster what can I do. But it is a little hard to eat French Onion soup with a fork...that was how it was served as they were out of spoons. I understand that things happen, but you can't eat soup with a fork without significant difficulty. So I asked for my money back. I had to go up to the counter to find out what was going on with my request. I was assured that it went back to my credit card but they weren't able to get me a receipt as they had trouble with their register. I decided to trust them.
