The menu is pretty standard nothing too over-the-top just good o'l American food with absolutely no frills. This would be a good place to break the ice with someone and if you're a Baller on a budget a good place for first date. I will definitely return. read more

Just having moved to Pooler, we needed food fast. Cheddars is within .25 mi so I stopped in and ordered alot of food to last two people for a couple days. So, first time at Cheddars and first restaurant tried in Pooler. I ordered and was glad to have some downtime while waiting. Food was ready in reasonable time. Carried it home and opened everything up. Here we go..ordered loaded potato; no toppings in bag. Ordered chicken tenders; they were dry and tasteless. Salad was bleak; I'm used to cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, grated cheese... this salad was sad. Dips were so so, not the worst but no where near really yummy good. Ribs were decent, far from the best, and on the verge of overdone. I did go back to Cheddars to get the potato toppings and chicken tenders remade. I also asked about the salad and, apparently, they come that way. I didn't mention the ribs. We just ate them. Now, what is funny about this is the manager came out to speak to me. He wanted the awful chicken tenders, asked me where they were. I was so stinking tired I forgot to bring them with me. At this point I was ready to retreat. Exhaustion was creepig in and I was hungry afterall. As I was saying it was time for me to go, the manager offered to remake the tenders and he did. Got those home with the toppings for the potato, haha they forgot butter, we finally ate. At least the tenders were fresh and "tender", but ya'all need to season something besides the dips. I drive by Cheddars daily. I have no desire to try them again. I think even if they were on their Cheddar "game" the food would still not be on the level it should be for their prices. Went here for my very first, and probably my last time, with my boys and their friends after the movie we had gone to was over....we were jammed into a booth that was way too small...so little old me, handicapped and disable got stuck out in the aisle where I was constantly being run into by customers and staff....Really???... And then when our food came there wasn't even enough room on the table for the plates...not to mention enough room for every one to be able to eat comfortably.. You know what??... After having to stay in Savannah for an extra night, we ended up staying near the airport. Cheddar's was a 2 minutes drive away. We were enticed by their menu online so we decided to drive over for dinner. The restaurant has a darker casual atmosphere. The staff were dressed up however. We were seated immediately in a HUGE booth and our waiter came over within 2 minutes. The menu is large with a lot of selection. We ordered a peach lemonade and a strawberry lemonade, both were very yummy. For dinner, we both ordered appetizers and they were MORE than enough for two people with leftovers. We ordered the homemade Onion Rings... one word. DELICIOUS!! The serving was absolutely huge and it was only $3.99. The rings came with two dipping sauces,,, one was a ranch type dressing but I'm not too sure what the other was, but it was equally good. We also ordered the Ultimate Nachos with fajita chicken... which were also absolutely delicious and also priced at about $8.00. I don't know if it was just a bad day for us, but we couldn't eat everything.. we left with a full take out box. The portions are more than generous. Our server was very prompt with refills and making sure everything was up to par. We would definitely go to another Cheddar's if we came across one in our travels. This is an inexpensive family friendly restaurant that has good food. I had the 14.99 riv eye that was excellent. We also had the blacken chicken on a bed of rice with black beans. Amazing. It has not been a good week for Pooler restaurants. Went to Cheddar's yesterday and beginning to end, it was awful. Instead of being walked to the table, we were shown the table. Clue #1. The waitress asked why noe one gave us menus. Clue #2. My fries and baked potato was cold. Clue #3. had to ask for straws. Clue#4. My daughter's "Bacon cheeseburger - plain with no toppings, came exactly that way, a burger with no bacon. Told waitress and instead of taking off for the bacon, she shows me the receipt, saying she asked for a bacon burger but they sent out a cheeseburger. There was no attempt to make it right. Clue #5. All that being said, the fried fish and BBQ ribs were very good and the Island Tiki was off the charts. Would I go there again, no. My 1st time here, I wasn't sure to stay or not . They had a B from the health department on January 03, 2019. Today is January 07, 2019. I was with a small group and they love this place so I said I'll give it a try. I didn't order any food , I just tasted everybody else food. The ribs, chicken tenders, white fish, broccoli casserole and cheese and chip dip was tasty, lol The reason why I gave them four stars is because of the customer service, most of all Miranda, she was our waitress and was kind and efficient. This place has changed a little bit over the years since it opened. This place stays busy when it is open so get their early. I used to order the shepards pie every time, but now that it has been removed from the menu, I suppose that I should find a new favorite meal. The Monte Crisco taste awesome especially with the jam that they give you. Taste like a chinese donut with a sandwich shoved inside and all fried together into one little lustful ball of goodness! I also have a MAJOR addiction to the Crossiants!! TRUST me when i say that I could make a meal out of them by just ordering 3 orders lol. I ate here with my family as the last get together before I deployed. We actually met here for lunch and realized that we were short on time. We told the waitress what was going on and she actually got the kitchen staff to rush our food out. All eight of us got our food pretty dang quick and I appreciated that. Very disappointed in this restaurant! We love this chain and have dined at several and love the food. There were three in our party.... told 50 min wait. Walked through restaurant to the bathroom to see at least 5 booths open when we arrived. After 55 mins we finally asked and suddenly they put us in one of the 5 open booths that were there on our arrival! Food was fine. Then when we paid my husband left his debit card in the bill wallet. When I call the next morning, they don't have it.... ironic....but thankfully our bank has a customer service number for weekends to cancel card. I visited this location while in Savannah on a weekend getaway. as soon as I stepped in I probably should have stepped out but my kid wanted to eat here so we decided to order. I decided to go with something different from my usual but the common Philadelphia cheesesteak. the meat taste like it had been cooked for a few hours and they threw some cheese on and stuck it underneath the burner to warm it up and melt the cheese. Not good at all! The server we had as soon as she came to the table she made a Mad Dash to leave so after she did this the third time I decided to have her stop so I can ask for other stuff in between waiting for her to come back. Went here this weekend with some friends and found the restaurant to be enjoyable overall. We went in the evening and the place was very busy, but the service wasn't too bad. The lemon pepper chicken that I ordered was only so-so. It was a little fatty and I wouldn't likely get the dish again. However, the rice and two sides were quite delicious. This food chain is a one step above a fast food restaurant. The food is average, depends on what you order but portion size are great. The place is cheap as well. I have been here for both lunch and dinner. There is no wait during lunch time but be prepared to wait on any night for dinner. My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken wrap. It comes with a side and can be easily shared between two people. The Spinach dip is good too. I have also tried their lemon pepper grilled catfish, which in my opinion is really salty. It's served over a bed of rice. They have great lunch combinations, where you can choose one half sandwich with either one side or two sides. I am not a big fan of their Mac n Cheese. I have tried their drink called the Pain Killer, it's a rum based drink and is really sweet. It has coconut flakes on the rim of the glass. If you like sweet drinks, this you're pick. I have never tried their margaritas but they look pretty good. The service here is average. I would recommend this place for some good cheap food but not a place to dine in if you are visiting Savannah. read more

We stayed at a Ramada Hotel (I think) which was literally a block away from this joint- and only decided to venture in here because it seemed constantly packed with people. Despite our initial guess that this place would be no better than a typical Chili's, we walked in. Here's what we had: Back ribs (9.99)- Nothing crazy mind-blowing, but above average- tender, a bit sweet with the sauce, but that's usually the case with places like these. A side of rice and (forgotten) broccoli came with the meal. For this price, it's pretty much a steal. (3.5) Napa Chicken Ciabatta- garlic aioli, avocado, red cabbage (6.99)- This was a pretty impressive sandwich. Tender, tasty grilled chicken, airy-soft ciabatta bread, just the right combination of flavors. The only iffy thing was that the avocado was not quite ripe yet. But they were generous with it! A sandwich and another side included, for ~7 bucks? That's awesome. (4.25) All in all, a super value for great portions and solid flavorful food. Too bad the waitress forget to bring my broccoli...but even so.... Who would've thought? Not us. We went to Smokin' Pig the next day....and wished we went back here instead. read more

This is the spot you go to for a quick bite or drink before REAL dinner.....or if you're stuck in traffic & wouldn't mind a chill spot. This is like the next step after fast food which is OK! I give this place four stars and some may disagree but for how busy it is I UNDERSTAND how the kitchen can be slow and finding great help is hard. My rating is my overall experience over multiple times. The service is usually a hit or miss. Tonight started off with Shanika as our server. She took our drink order and we ordered right away. Our appetizers came out before she could get our drinks to us, not a big deal, I reminded her and she brought them out right away. She probably forgot because she put our food order right away. She was very attentative while taking our order and also made sure to repeat it. Everything came out except for my salmon dish that I ordered. As she was checking on another table she noticed my food was not yet so she let me know that she was headed to the kitchen to see what was going on. A few minutes later the manager George came over to talk to us, Apologize for what was going on in the kitchen (we noticed the kitchen messed up two other tables orders). He told us that food would be coming out shortly and that our whole dinner bill was on the restaurant tonight. I told him he didn't have to do that and if he could just box my food it would be fun because I was full off of my appetizers. He comp. The bill anyways. So i made sure to leave shanika a good tip. It was ok and I was a little surprised by the small portion. My wife had the mushroom burger which was fantastic. I had the shepherd's pie which was ok, but a little watery for my taste. My wife and I rediscovered Cheddars in Pooler. The quality of the food is superb! The wait staff friendly and prompt with a smile. Our server tonight was Tiffany and she came to the table greeted us with a smile and talk to us like we were family she's a great wait staff person and an asset to the restaurant. Save your money! I have given this restaurant multiple tries and it gets worse every time. Tonight was my breaking point. It was a busy night and the wait for 3 was about 20 minutes. Not bad. But then we got to our table. 20 minutes to get 2 glasses of water, 35 minutes to get a bottled beer, 50 minutes for the appetizer, 53 minutes for food. As if that wasn't bad enough, the server for the table next to ours kept stopping by to "check on us" since our server was incompetent. She told us how tired she and our server were since they've been working all day, but she never actually helped. When the food did come out it was less than average. I haven't had good experiences at Cheddars but my husband and I just moved to Pooler and gave it a go... I ordered a skinny margarita. It took a minute, but I don't mind. The thing was it was warm and watery. Boo. I ordered the salmon with bourbon glaze with broccoli and loaded baked potato. The salmon rice and broccoli were great. However the baked potato was pretty stiff..and no butter...hmm whatever Our waitress was nice but nothing spectacular...it seems like a busy place so that is undrrstandable.
