The only reason this place gets a 3-star rating is because there were very few options in surrounding areas. We were heading back to Florida from Asheville, NC and wanted to eat something somewhat close to the interstate that was not fast food. The restaurant was only a couple minutes out of the way. The service was friendly and the place was packed with locals on a Tuesday evening. We sat at the bar and the food came out quick. It was fair. We ordered house salads, soup and side vegetables (baked potato was firm and broccoli was limp - but both were edible). They have Tito's vodka, which made me happy (and it was cheap, relatively speaking). Food is always good. Didn't care for the steak when they opened up. Tried twice and no bueno. Buffalo chicken wraps can be shared. Burgers are very satisfying. Chicken fettuccine is huge. I don't like to sit in the atrium. It is so loud because everyone tries to out talk the other tables and it turns to a roar. Never have to wait long even on Friday nights. I decided to stop by for lunch, me and a guest. Upon arriving we were greeted by an older male at front. Our waitress was helpful and around when when needed. I thought the food was fine. Your typical chain food restaurant with their own style of menu. While we were eating a different staff member stopped by our table to ask how everything was going and if we needed anything else. I thought that was nice. The restaurant was busy but all our food still came out average time and plus the waiter updated us on the status of food. I had the Philly Cheese Steak and fries. I thought it was pretty good. I didn't care too much for the particular cheese sauce but other than that it was fine. My guest enjoyed their ribs meal too. I would return and mostly due to the customer service. But all in all, a good experience. read more

Awful. The building is extraordinarily loud. Bar orders take forever and orders were incorrect for several of the party. Refills occured twice in nearly 2 hours unless it was alcohol. There was no accommodation for for a party of 12. We were separated into 2 cramped booths and given one waitress. Other booths had a waited assigned but we split one who was over worked and they added a service fee. So we are not sitting together, have half the service and we are charged 15 percent extra. The staff are just present No effort. The food is okay at best. Drowned in butter and salt. Despite all this the place is incredibly busy. Avoid if you have any choice. read more

Great food, first experience eating here! Was actually surprised how good it was being from the Philadelphia, PA area. I had to try the "Philly cheese steak" and although it wasn't exactly a Philly cheese steak it still tasted great! I had asked for pickles on it and was given an odd look by the waiter which was funny but to all the philadelphians who know what a cheese steak is you sure know what makes a good cheese steak especially when they put the sauce on it which is usually on an original philly cheese steak. This place did a decent job on it but if your looking for an actual philly cheese steak dont be too dissapointed. Ok so I've downloaded the yelp app just to leave a review for this restaurant, hoping they see it and improve. I have always heard good things about Cheddars from friends, minus the fact about the wait, which was true when we went. We waited about 25 minutes which was true to the time we were told, not too bad but I was starving. My boyfriend and I sat and were greeted by two different waitresses, one was training, which led to a bit of confusion because one took our drink order and left, then the other one came and asked for our drink orders again. We ordered the croissants which looked delicious online and on the menu , but about 15 minutes later after we had already put in our food order, the waitress returned saying that she was sorry, but that they were just informed the croissants were frozen and we could not get them? Which completely contradicts the way they advertise them, as "handmade, and fresh." She said we could order a different app but that it would prolly come after our food which defeats the purpose of an app, which is to be quick and be able to come out before your food. I ordered the buffalo chicken wraps, and my boyfriend ordered the bacon cheeseburger with a side of "Mac and cheese." my chicken wraps were ok, they didn't really have all they were suppose to, and my fries were cold. The bacon cheeseburger was advertised with mayo, and it didn't come with any, so we asked for some. Then we tried the "Mac and cheese," which was a joke. They forgot the cheese. It's advertised as comfort food, but was just noodles, dry as the Sahara desert. When we told the waitress, she replied with, "would you like a different side," bc she knew it was bad. But we asked for more Mac, which was just as bland and cheeseless as before, and left us laughing. My bf ordered a beer which had no carbonation. Personally I think we should've gotten a free app bc the app we ordered, they didn't have? Or ran out? Which isn't our fault? Then we had to ask to get the noodles taken off the check? If we learned anything from watching Gordon Ramsay, it's that the menu had to many items, which caused them to not be able to perfect every item. We will not be back. read more

Ok I understand that big parties can cause some issues but when you sit the big party in 5 different booths it is no longer a big party. We waited an hour to be seated. My husband ordered steak, medium rare. When it came out, it was so burnt and crispy and you could tell it was very dry by just looking at it. He cut it open, it was well done. We told our waitress who was awesome, her manager came by and asked for us to cut up the steak once again. How dare he say "it's not bloody enough for you?" It was so dry, we had a hard time cutting it open and it was not bloody it was burnt! We loved cheddars, until we tried this location. My wife and I decided to go to Cheddar's with our children for dinner. The food has always been good our past visits but this visit was totally different. We walked in and immediately noticed the cleanliness of the restaurant had drastically gone downhill from visits prior. Napkins, food, silverware under empty tables that had been bussed and reset and all over the dining area floor. The chicken tenders which are usually a hit came undercooked, the replacement batch came out over cooked. The broccoli and cheddar came complete with a piece of paper towel in it from the kitchen. I have frequented the Cheddars in Pooler off and on for the past eight years. I have watched a great restaurant decline into a dump. The last two visits have been worse than below par. Both of these last two visits the food was we'll below sub par. The restroom on both visits were far worse than any livestock barm I have ever been in. The place smells so bad. Both times I have complained to the Manager Corey and she says sorry. I gave them another try, but will not return. The only thing that is really good about this restaurant is the amount of food for the price. The quality of the food is not all that great but you do get a lot of food for your buck so that's always decent. I usually end up getting something that includes their chicken tenders. On my last visit I got the chicken alfredo and instead of the grilled chicken I got the fried chicken tenders. It was edible but it wasn't something that I truly enjoyed. My mom however, loves the place and always wants to go when we head in that direction. She enjoys the Sweet Heat Chicken and the salad that comes with it. She always has enough to take home for a second meal so she loves that. The drinks here are excellent though! They have their unique drinks and they are not too strong and not too weak. I've enjoyed some drink that they have that's like a wedding drink full of whipped cream and some other stuff I can't remember but it was very tasty. So if you're not looking to spend a lot of money and you're in the market for fairly decent food then visit Cheddar's and be sure to have a drink or two. read more

I love this chain. I Effin love them. If you haven't tried the monte cristo, you're not living life to the fullest. The prices of meals here are entirely reasonable and the food has always been delicious. I love, and I mean love, their painkiller drink. The only drawback of this place is that the wait can be occasionally long. Having a little one, we don't always have the ability to wait 30 plus minutes for a table, but if it was just us, it would be totally worth the wait. The wait staff here is always polite and courteous, they are generally pretty knowledgable about their menu as well. I tend to ask ALOT of weird questions as I have a not so common food allergy, and these guys are always on point and honest. I entirely recommend the spinach dip appetizer... It's awesome... Went here on a Saturday, you'd think that they'd have the best of the best working lunch on a Saturday... we were served by "miss. Beth" who talked in the third person and forgot about us pretty much the whole time. It was so hard to get her attention period. Drinks were empty the whole time and when we wanted the bill she was no where to be found so we ended up sitting there an additional 20 minutes just trying to pay. She kept blaming it on "her helper" who we never met. Not to mention there was a trail of poop from the bar to the bath room. Absolutely disgusting. Wow! Our first night in a new city, my family ventured over to Cheddar's which was close to our hotel. The food is fantastic! Hot! Southern! and Plentiful! ...and CHEAP!
