I am not a fan of Cheddar's. Each time I have gone they have not gotten my order correct and the food that I did get was not very good. The broccoli casserole tastes like mush, the monte cristo sandwich is very doughy and often under cooked. Their touted chicken fingers are light, but they have absolutely no taste. I asked my wife if she got Alligator strips instead. For those interested they only have TVs in the bar area. If you were to ask my daughters they would give it a strong 5 star. They love the food and the whole experience. But since they are not writing the review I have to give them a single star. read more

OK priced but I certainly don't believe they made everything from scratch .they charge extra for rolls very displeased I'm not sure what all the hype was about we would not go back ,there are plenty of other mediocre places to eat that do not have a 2 hour wait. Had no issues getting a seat since I sat at the bar which has a full menu. There were other patrons at the bar which were... rather impolite words, but the bartender picked up on this as well and apologized to me for something beyond his control. I ordered the Steak + Ribs with Red Beans & Rice and Broccoli Cheese Casserole. The Broccoli Cheese Casserole was... okay. Broccoli, melted liquid cheese, and rice. If that sounds like your jams, then you'll probably like it. The Ribs were probably the most impressive part, they were barely attached to the bone at all. It was a little bit short on BBQ Sauce, in that there was hardly any at all, but considering the quality, it'll be fine. The rib meat itself was also excellent. The Steak was fine, along with the Red Beans and Rice (Which includes sausage, note to any vegetarians), except both of these items were incredibly salty. As someone who often adds salt to his foods and enjoys salty products, these were very nearly at the apex of my tolerance. The salt was the primary flavor of both of these products, and nearly wrecked what was otherwise a pretty good steak. This combo plate, a beer, and a soda cost just short of 24 dollars. It was a good amount of food, but the flavoring didn't help. I'm kind of neutral towards returning despite several friends giving it high praise. read more

We have always enjoyed the food & service at Cheddars. Items are flavorful & fresh. However our last visit was disappointing that some entrees & sides are overpowered with sugar ! Their new meatloaf tastes sweet & the "gravy" for the mashed potatoes is overly sweetened teriyaki sauce. Almost inedible. The green beans tasted sweet also. Cant imagine the thinking in this . We were sat immediately on a Monday afternoon. Being from Wisconsin, we had to order the Wisconsin Cheese Bites for an appetizer. These are small round things of cheese deep fried and they come with a marinara sauce. I recommend asking for a side of ranch dressing as well. For those in the know, they are NOT cheese curds, no squeak. My wife had the Dijon Chicken & Mushroom says it was ok and a little overwhelming on the Dijon. I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. I liked it except they bread wasn't toasted, but maybe that is how they do it. Aside from that, I had no complaints. We both shared (only because Erica, the waitress, supplied us with two spoons) a Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding (which comes with a dollop of vanilla ice cream). Upon arrival my boyfriend and I were told we would be waiting 45 minutes to be sat. We were a little impatient, but decided to wait it out. We had an amazing server named Dillon. We've been a fan of Cheddar's for many years. Very excited when this one opened here in Tucson. They always have a crowd. Everything I have tried has been very good, except for their Monte Cristo sandwich. I usually love them, but for some reason this one is always extremely greasy. I killed a cockroach and it's baby crawling on our table and my wife's wallet, with a salt shaker! I advised staff what had happened and they asked us to wait outside for another table, meanwhile, cleaned our table and sat another party at the table we were at. 20 minutes later we were seated and charged full price for our food. Went in for my brothers 14th birthday around 6ish, the wait was long but well worth it, the manager and waiter treated us extremely well, I couldn't be happier with their service on 11/7/20. During my last visit to Cheddar's I had a sub-par experience. When we came in, the hostess wasn't at the podium because she was busy seating another table and we understood that. When she came back, she addressed a woman from a different party and seated them first even though we had gotten there before them and were waiting for help. We let it slide and it happened again with a different hostess. Right when we were going to speak up, the other guest mentioned that we were there first. There needs to be a more efficient way to prioritize the order in which guests arrive. When we were making our order, the server seemed tentative and nice. He never actually returned to our table during our meal. He took our drink order and someone else brought us our waters. After we placed our orders, it took 30 minutes for the food to come out. My boyfriend got the spasagna and I ordered the bourbon glazed pork chops. His food came out steaming and mine was cold. I'm a server myself, so I understood that mine was cold because it was finished cooking first and they waited to bring our food out at the same time. I asked to get my food reheated and a different server (from the one who seated us, and the one who brought us our drinks) took the plate back. I was excited to get my plate back because I had sampled the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and the sauce of the pork chops (before deciding that it wasn't even warm) and had liked the flavor. The food took 10 more minutes before it was returned to me. It was the same cold temperature that I had given to them in the first place, the plate wasn't even warm (like after being microwaved; which was what I wanted). At this point, my boyfriend was annoyed and had me split his plate with him. He got the attention of a 4th server and asked them to take the untouched plate back and take it off of the bill. He didn't even want a replacement at this point because he didn't want to wait for it or run the risk of getting another cold plate. Only after we had the dish taken off of the bill did our original server return to our table to apologize and take our payment. I wasn't even mad, I was just disappointed because I had just gotten off work and was craving Cheddar's. I had been here before and had good experiences in the past. This was my second time coming to this place. The first time was good, but this time was terrible. We had a middle aged guy, Boyd, as our server. Boyd was really bad and then flat lied to us about some issues with the check. The list of issues are below - Originally taken to a dirty table until we said no - did not get silverware for minutes after the food was delivered. Had to request that twice - took more than 10 minutes to take drink orders - put in the wrong food order - didn't make much of an attempt to correct it other than say "I can get you that sauce if you want" And finally where the lie came in. He said I spoke with my manager and they adjusted the bill. We didn't check until after we paid and realized that they did none of that. However I ended up being forced to try these AND THEY ROCKED MY WORLD Z... THE BATTER is so unique between a tempura and panko, goodness. We went for lunch on 5/17/17. Food was ok. The problem is with the unsanitary conditions of the silverware, glasses, plates and bowls. It is really hard to get past what appears to be layers of residue including food particles. Me and the family often go to Cheddar's since we live so close to it and the food is great no complaints about it, but the service could be a lot better. We sat waiting for a server for about 10 minutes and nobody. They saw us too and still nobody. Frustrated at this point we get up for we can leave and tell the hostesses what happened. My boyfriend and i went for an early dinner on a Monday around 530. The place was busy but not busy enough to wait for a table. (However there was a decent wait later around 630- glad we got there before the rush). It's always good to know the staff like the food they are serving. She had a smile throughout the entire time we were there, made little jokes, just overall made our dining experience a joy! FOOD: I started with a Caesar salad, which came with a delicious croissant. We both ordered the top sirloin with shrimp, which comes with rice, AND two sides! Lovely! I got the side of broccoli cheese casserole and loaded baked potato and he got the side of mac n cheese and red bean something or other. The sides of the pastas are quite small, only can get a few bites from it, but after eating everything else it was the perfect amount. Our steak was cooked perfectly! And was quite delicious, just needed a little salt. The side of sauce (not sure what it was-tasted like a honey bourbon sauce) was a nice dipping sauce. The shrimp were okay, wasn't too big of a fan of the Cajun flavoring on them. My boyfriend got one shrimp that wasn't deveined, but overall the dishes were yummy. We also got the onion rings, which were AMAZING! Great amount of them for the awesome price of $5. I was very full from everything but had a little sweet tooth, and got the mini chocolate cake dessert. It was the perfect size and price. DRINKS: Didn't try any of the cocktails this time....but they looked delicious. Chicken Tenders with Shrimp - Absolutely delicious, their BBQ sauce is amazing, I would likely buy it if they sold it. Steak - Cooked perfectly to medium per my request, juicy and good price point for the portion. I have been there twice in the last 3 weeks. I ordered ribs the first time and they were rock solid hard and crystallized to where you could not get the meat off. The most recent visit I had chicken pot pie and I must say Marie Callendars frozen pot pies are way above Cheddars. It was salty with about 6 carrots and peas.
