    Spinach dip

Appetizers : Onion rings - could have been cooked a little longer but they were good Spinach dip with tortilla chips - very good Dinner: we all ordered the burger and fries , the burger had no seasoning, the french fries could have been cooked a little longer, so all three of us were disappointed to say the least. The drinks were subpar, light on the alcohol The service was good our waiter was very attentive and friendly. If you decide to sit at the bar, you have an awesome view of a huge fish tank, it is so pretty

We sat at the bar and had a lovely dinner. Cheddar's has a menu that offers something for pretty much everyone. The bartender, Anthony, was very affable and provided great service. The food was very good too. Cheddar's is located right off I-83, making it a good option for eats if you're in or passing through York.

Got here at 6:10 pm on a Friday and we were seated within minutes!!! For the first time we were seated along side of the bar. It was very cool as the a/c was hitting us on this hot day. We ordered appetizers, amazing! Ordered our entres also great! Service was good. It slowed down a bit after a large party came in. We enjoyed our time and dinner!

My husband found a sticker (literally) in his pasta. The server had his order remade and took it off the bill. Other than that everything was good. Our server was nice and attentive. The salmon and dip were delicious. Our wait was minimal and there was plenty of parking l. The bathrooms were clean and spacious

Cheddars is always a solid choice. Normal got to is chicken fingers but this time I went for a 16 ounce ribeye.

Our server, Anthony, made this regular degular food outing so much fun. Our food and drinks came out quick, he anticipated our needs for togo boxes before being asked. I enjoyed my steak, but I do wish the butter was melted instead of plopped on there. But flavor of the meat and the shrimp more than made up for it.

This one was easy. The croissants they put on the table are delicious. We devoured them. There is plenty of parking. We walked right in with 13 people on a Sunday and were pretty much seated immediately. Our server was amazing. Honestly, that was better service than I received in most fine dining places. The prices are so cheap and the food is pretty decent for what you pay. What's not the love. Most people I came with had boxes. My meatloaf didn't make it home. Get to cheddars with someone you love and have a good time.

We did a walk in with a large group, and they were very accommodating. We had to sit at several different tables, but they got us in. They have a very expansive menu, so there is something for everyone ! Our server was very friendly and effective and did well with our large group. The only complaint was it was extremely cold inside. Ordering a hot tea and bringing a sweater helped a ton.

This restaurant was fire and an amazing experience. They had this fish tank thingy that was real pretty as well as these fans that were spinning sideways. They brought out these little butter covered pastries to start and they were fire. I got this thing called the spasagna and it was so good! It was like $12 which was great and it was a combination of my two favorite dishes. Lasagna and spaghetti. The waiters kept waters full and brought out food quickly so that was great. Really it was such a cool looking place.

Great, fast service. The food, however, was well prepared but too salty. My wife said the sake about her food.

The server did a great job with making sure that our drinks were filled, and we had to go boxes and brought our food out in a timely manner. Some of the appetizer choices were the calamari, fried kale and crab claw lollipops. All three were absolutely outstanding, and the portions were large. For dinner, our choices are rockfish, lobster, mac & cheese, filet mignon, or grilled chicken green curry. Again, the portion sizes were large and everyone enjoyed their meals. We were able to choose from a flourless chocolate torte or cheesecake. I forgot to mention that the Caesar salad was so fresh and the dressing was outstanding. I would like to come back and experience the restaurant and their entire menu. The upstairs had a fun, urban feel with a fireplace and a cool bar. We felt comfortable and it was a fun vibe.

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.

It sounds bold, and it is, but it works beautifully. The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.
