Mini The Cheese Theory plus mushroom onion and half sausage
Alexis S.

Surprised by this. Perfect crust. Like perfect. Good pizza overall. Truly only would want a bit more of the veggie toppings I paid for and I like more veggies than most. I'd be okay with a little better cheese quality, but still really good overall. The mini is the perfect size. So glad to find a place with a good personal pizza!

Really enjoyed trying Cheese Theory this past Friday before catching a movie at the Galleria! The service was quick and friendly and there was plenty of seating inside and outside to enjoy the pizza. I would definitely recommend trying the "sweet pep and peno" pizza for a nice combination of slightly sweet and spicy-- the medium size was perfect for 2 people. I will be returning for a quick bite before a movie in the future again!

Pizza day at the office is always a good day. Thanks for the amazing catering! Excited!!

My favorite new spot! The pepperoni pizza is so delicious! The perfect slice for me. The pepperoni cups are top tier and the crust is perfectly thin and crispy. The fries are perfectly crispy and seasoned, it's addicting. The dry rub Cajun wings are perfectly seasoned and crispy and the buffalo wings are perfect. The service is amazing and the staff is so sweet and warm. The ambiance is chill and the perfect place grab some pizza and wings and have a beer!

Best Pizza ever! Stumbled upon this gem randomly, and I gotta say this place serves one of the best and freshest pizzas I've ever had. The crust, the pepperoni, the cheese I mean everything tasted fresh and clean! It definitely hit the spot for a late night munchy! Service was wonderful. They were super nice to my kids and offered cookies while we waited for our pizza ! The place was very clean and had great music playing to vibe to! I will definitely be back over and over for some good food with the family!

One of the best Pizza spots around. We had a pepperoni and jalapeno pizza and it was amazing. Great crust and fresh ingredients. Fresh jalapenos were fantastic as most places are canned. Onion Rings were crispy and cooked perfectly. Beef Tallow fried wings were very tasty. Chocolate cake was not too sweet but still delicious. My favorite was the Meatball HUG as the meatballs were perfect tasting and probably the best I've had around Los Angeles. Atmosphere was great and place was clean. Definitely recommend and can't wait to try more things on the Menu.

Amazing new pizza spot at the Sherman Oaks galleria. Great atmosphere with an amazing staff, very welcoming and helpful when it comes to the menu. Pizza & wings were amazing can't wait to come back and try the other items!

The food was outstanding and it was honestly the best pizza I've ever had. The dough was fresh with the perfect texture and our food came out very quickly. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided great service. The restaurant itself has an amazing ambiance with a clean, modern look. If you're a pizza lover, Cheese Theory is a place you need to try. Between the incredible food and excellent service and atmosphere, it's an easy five-star experience.

meatball hug

I'm kind of sad about my food. I thought the "meatball hug" was going to be a sandwich with real bread, but tbh it's just a folded pizza, I'm sure the food will be fine for others, but it was kind of mid for the price Workers are nice tho

Very good Pizza... GREAT crust.. Meatballs were also very good and worth ordering. Will definitely be back.

Thin crust that is very flavorful, good sauce, not too much cheese, just enough, not that deep dish stuff that midwestern people think is pizza but is something else entirely. When I first moved here, you could not get the real deal, it was disappointing. Then the grandson of Regina's Pizza in the north End opened up the Pizza Connection is Canoga Park and it was really good. He opened a bunch of other locations but over time, not sure why, the pizza just wasn't as good. My child Emily Asher Kellis disagrees, still loves it, but she was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, so what does she really know about pizza. After trying a bunch of different "New York City" pizza joints that were just ok, we found Santino's NY Pizza in Sherman Oaks and were very happy with it, authentic East Coast pizza. Well last week I discovered they went out of business. Oh no, what were we going to do? So I researched and found there was a place in Sherman Oaks called The Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn, only two locations, here and in Brooklyn and people said it was the real deal. Tonight we tried it, and you know what, it might just be even better. Santino's sauce had a slight sweetness to it that we liked that this doesn't but the sauce is good, and the crust is even more flavorful and they are a bit more liberal with the olive oil usage, which true East Coasters love while I am told that most health conscious Southern Californians do not. Anyway, we are quite happy that we can continue to get our pizza craving satisfied when we just gotta have some slices.

When I arrived around 1:00 p.m., the restaurant was almost completely empty, with only one table occupied. No one greeted me or acknowledged that I was there, so I waited until my Postmates app notified me that my order was ready for pickup. Once I got the notification, I walked up to the woman behind the counter and said I was there to pick up my Postmates order. She looked at me like I had said something strange and replied, "Postmates?" in a confused, dismissive tone. She then found my order, which had been sitting on the counter the entire time, and rather abruptly dropped it on the counter, saying, "Your order's ready," without even making eye contact. The interaction made me feel like I was a complete nuisance for simply picking up an order. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the experience. The salads were underwhelming, and I paid an extra $2.75 to add chicken to mine, only to receive what was essentially a few tiny pieces. It hardly felt like there was any protein added at all. Overall, between the unfriendly service and disappointing food, I won't be ordering from here again.

Yes, the atmosphere is dark and spare, and this location could use a paint job, but the staff is friendly, and the pizza just can't be beat. I also love the option of sitting at a counter, because it's just more comfortable when doing the slice thing alone. They had quite a few pie options on display, including a Chicken Ranch pizza, which may require a call to the boss: combined with the BBQ Chicken and Hawaiian Pizzas below it, Mulberry may be committing a 3-strikes foodie felony. That said, I ordered a slice with sausage and a Coke Zero. The great thing about Mulberry Street is that their slices are on the larger size while still maintaining a thin and crispy crust. You definitely feel like you're getting far more bang for your buck here, and that's before you even take a bite -- that's the closer. The pizza here is top notch, with good quality cheese that melts perfectly and retains both its chew and flavor. The tomato sauce is nicely balanced between sweet and acid, and the sausage on top was richly flavored. Drizzle the slice with a touch of their signature chili oil, and you really have a terrific bite. I have to say, while the excitement around Mulberry may have diminished after so many years, and after the arrival of so many other places now doing what once was only being done by Mulberry, the quality of their food has remained first-rate, and they continue to top the list of places serving slices in this city. The proof: with Joe's pizza just steps away, Mulberry had far more people eating there at Friday lunchtime, and their pizza was much fresher (the pies at Joe's always seem to have been sitting for quite some time). While this outpost really needs to invest in some paint and a rethinking of the lighting, Mulberry definitely takes the crown when it comes to the food.

Every time we order it lately, I find myself wondering why. The pizza has become incredibly salty, and the quality seems to have gone downhill. Today really took the cake. Instead of ordering a whole pie, we got a few slices. I ordered pepperoni with onions, olives, and extra cheese, which doesn't seem like an unusual request. When I opened the box, I was genuinely put off. It looked like they had taken a premade pepperoni slice, laid what appeared to be slices of sandwich cheese on top, and sprinkled raw onions over it. I understand that by-the-slice pizza is premade, but this felt lazy and unappetizing. Mulberry used to be great, and it's disappointing to say this as someone who grew up eating there. At this point, I'd honestly rather have Domino's.

It's a very generous slice, with mozzarella and ricotta, the spinach and lots (and lots) of fresh garlic (a good thing). Service from the small, attentive staff is friendly and swift. The ambiance remains spare and slice-joint standard, but that's perfectly okay for a tasty slice and a cold drink. The three extra slices were the worst part. They were wet, soggy, and completely inedible. The pizza itself was no better. As soon as you took a bite, you could tell the dough was undercooked and the entire pie was not something anyone could actually eat. The whole order ended up going straight into the trash. What made this even more frustrating was that, after contacting them through Uber Eats, we were only given a $25 credit instead of a full refund for an order that was entirely inedible. This is completely unacceptable, especially for the price. We will never order from Joe's Pizza again and would strongly recommend staying away if this is the level of quality and service they provide. If you look at the photo I attached you can see how soggy the pizza is which how much I could even fold it. It's as if they dipped it in water before putting it in the box.
