I love this place! This is one of my favorite neighborhood eateries. I've been all over the menu from their breakfast burrito through huge tasty omelet combination choices and finally arriving at fluffy pancakes and french toast for a great start to the day. Double cheeseburgers with bacon and avocado, gyros and steak sandwiches make for delicious selections at lunch time. Chef Burger is ALWAYS A GREAT VALUE! You'll probably get more food than you can handle...personally I'm no slouch...but really, come hungry! My son and I stopped in here for a bite. I had a gyro and my son had a burger and fries. Food could have been served hotter, but it was very good. Fries are pretty good, with seasoning salt. This place is a gold mine. They have something for anyone who is looking for a tasty, filling most likely fattening meal. If you are on a diet it is not the place to go. However, if it is cheat day, try their burgers or go there for breakfast. Your meal portions will be huge and satisfying. They will make anything you want like you like it. Well, at least they do for me. They have a variety of peppers to spice things up and excellent homemade verde salsa you have to ask for. Their vegatables are always fresh and their fries are as good as it gets. I also love their Gyro's although they are hard to eat cause they get all over my face. Try them, you won't be sorry. I'll admit, I haven't been to Chef Burger for anything other than breakfast. Some would say shame on me, but tell me-- how many of you are going to turn down tasty breakfast food when you have the opportunity? And this is some great breakfast food, let me tell you. You get quite a bit of bang for your buck here, as their plates are teeming with food and you're hard pressed to finish it all off, even though you want to because it's just so good. Their waffles are amazing, I would recommend them very highly-- especially the strawberry waffles, yum! Their eggs were always perfectly scrambled-- not runny, but not dried out either. All of their breakfast meats I tried were well cooked, but again not dried out or overly salty. There is a large variety of food on their breakfast menu. Even though the restaurant itself is very plain and casual, the area is extremely beautiful and it's a nice drive to get there. It's a very relaxing place to eat, and you can choose between sitting outside in the sun and fresh air, or eating inside and watching the current sports game on television. The guys behind the counter are helpful and extremely nice. If this all sounds good to you, I'd definitely recommend you give them a try. read more

I have been looking for a place with a good breakfast burrito since Yanni's in Simi closed a couple of weeks ago, so I gave this place a try today. The breakfast burrito was HUGE and pretty tasty. The salsa could have had more spice to it. Not the cheapest, but you get a lot. I will go back for another, but only when I'm really hungry. read more

The food here is great. Portion size is massive. I only gave 4 stars because the place itself appears dirty. Great breakfast burritos but they put too much hash browns. Just ask to go easy on the hash browns and it's great! I like the fact you can call in ahead and just pick up your order. The guy at the register is nice. I like it. read more

I love finding places like this tiny little hole in the wall seeming spot with amazing portions and incredible breakfast selection. Found this place on Christmas Day, someone was smart enough to know left overs from last night would be too heavy for Christmas Day, but the food is great and big portions, we were a party of 11 and the bill was less than a hundred dollars the service was also great I do wish I can add the tip on the card because we had no cash, he just needs to update that because it's nice to get great service and pay for it, love the food!!! read more

Horrible place. I get their fliers in the mail and decided to visit as it is not too far from my house. I arrived there at about 3.00pm. The place was empty except for the guy at the counter. I ordered their breakfast burrito to go. He took my money and proceeded to start cooking it. So far so good. I took the burrito home - it was huge. I took one bite and tasted just charcoal. The hash browns and bacon were completely burned . The only thing that was cooked well were the eggs. Had to throw it out, Will never go there again read more

My boyfriend & I ordered our meals, mine included toast and he bought a side of toast as well. As the server delivered our food she said "it will be a while" to get our toast. After about 10 minutes my boyfriend went inside and asked about the toast and the sausage that was missing from his plate. They handed him sausage and the girl told him "I'm not going to get your toast to you...". She handed him a dollar, which wasn't even the price of a side of toast! I'm sorry, how in the world is that okay to tell a customer that you're not going to give them what they paid for and what was a part of their meal...Used to come here once in a while, but never again. The prices are reasonable and the portion size is really big, so there's always some to take home. Their breakfast burritos are alright, especially when you're hung over...haha. I only really have 2 complaints- 1) The ambience and decor is ugly and unappealing and 2) there is a separate back room with more tables which seems nice, but my friends and I noticed that there is an OPEN window that leads into the bathroom so you can hear everything going on in there...yuck. read more

It seems like my one crappy breakfast burrito was a one off. I've had a few more since then and they've been great except for way too much potato. I weighed one that seemed a bit bigger than usual and it was just shy of 2 pounds! I bet they average close to 2000 calories so they are not part of my regular diet. ( I share one with my wife).Everything I've tried has been above average in taste (and calories!) It can be incredibly busy on Sunday mornings so I usually call in a to go order otherwise a 30 minute wait is not unusual. read more
