It was a bit noisy inside since there isn't much to absorb the sound, so you may need to speak a little louder during conversation. I did find the lunch menu to be expensive. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday, and everyone seemed happy with their dishes: a shrimp po' boy sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and pasta with tomato cream sauce and shrimp. I ordered the chicken po' boy sandwich. The sandwiches were served with seasoned fries, but unfortunately the fries looked and tasted like they had been sitting for a a while--dry and not very fresh. My chicken po' boy was disappointing. The sandwich had tomatoes and some iceberg lettuce, but no sauce, which made it very plain. While the chicken itself was tender, it lacked flavor and the overall dish felt like it wasn't prepared with much care. For a $21.50 sandwich that was essentially a few pieces of chicken breast with tomatoes, lettuce, and old fries, it felt like an expensive mistake. Perhaps other dishes on the menu are excellent. However, having grown up with a father who was a top chef, I tend to notice when simple dishes--like sandwiches and fries--aren't executed well. These are usually some of the easiest things to get right, which made the experience even more disappointing for me.

The staff was very gracious in the face of the huge crowd and a mountain of orders. The location is spacious with plenty of room to line up and tables to sit and eat or wait on orders. The parking was easy too which was a bonus. For food we got two orders of the big greedy with yams, greens, baked beans and the new mushroom rice. I will stress that everything was excellent and we would get this exact order again, but a few particular standouts were 1) Fried Catfish. Our favorite protein by far. It was deliciously seasoned, perfectly fried, and succulently tender, 2) Candied Yams. They were sweet, tender and nicely balanced, 3) Mushroom Parmesan Rice. We only tried this because so many of the other sides were sold out and man are we glad we did. Our family tore this side up! The mushroom parm gravy was smooth and creamy with large chunks of mushroom. Definitely a great addition to the sides list. Our family can't wait to go back and try more of what CBB has to offer. It's missing a lot of the sweet options like the blueberry beignets and fresh donuts etc. The owner indicated that he would notify corporate about the missing items on the App. I ordered 4 blueberry sausage biscuits and 3 plain biscuits on the App. The biscuits were pretty big and the blueberry biscuits were covered in a delicious sweet glaze. Once inside the store, I placed the order for the blueberry beignets. I spent a total of $53 dollars. These biscuits are not cheap but are made fresh daily. With the 3 plain butter biscuits, I ended up making my own bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. FYI, It's a lot cheaper buying the biscuits separately and making your own sandwiches at home. All said and done, my parents really enjoyed the biscuits and beignets. If you decide to dine in, there's plenty of seating. I look forward to trying their Nashville chicken sandwich next time.
