I have a new favorite sandwich here and that is their Grilled Italian Sandwich. With a side of macaroni salad and a Coke it makes for a nice little lunch. I have grown frustrated with other lunch spots in downtown Tacoma as often times the wait times are long but more importantly than even that is sometimes my orders aren't even accurate. I have never had that problem with Mega * in any way. They have my lunch promptly ready and the order is always accurate. The sandwiches are satisfying but not too much to handle for a 30 minute lunch break. That is what keeps me coming back to Mega *.

I used to work at LHS and I'm embarrassed by how much money I have spent getting as many sandwiches for as many people as possible. I have forced about 10 people to eat here and now it's all we talk about. I'm moving to Chicago and I am not kidding when I say that I will be stopping at MegaBites every time I come back and visit. I LOVE their turkey pesto sandwich, but literally everything is so good.

The veggies were fresh and the lettuce crispy. I really enjoyed the sandwich. Shout out to the employees. They were very friendly and engaging. The ambiance was modern and clean. If you're in the Kent area and looking for a sandwich shop that consistently delivers, Jersey…read moreMike's Subs has been my go-to spot for years now--and for good reason. Walking into this location, the interior is clean, simple, and welcoming. It has that classic sandwich shop feel: bright lighting, an open counter where you can watch your sub being made, and a steady but efficient flow of customers. It's not overly fancy, but it doesn't need to be--the focus here is clearly on the food and the experience. The staff keeps things moving smoothly, and there's a sense of familiarity if you've been coming here as long as I have. I actually made the switch from Subway years ago, and I haven't looked back since. What stands out most about Jersey Mike's is the value. You're getting a noticeably larger portion, especially with a "regular" size, which honestly feels more like what other places would call a large. It's filling, satisfying, and worth every dollar. My two staples are the #13 The Original Italian and the #2 Jersey Shore's Favorite--and you truly can't go wrong with either. The #13 is packed with a variety of meats that all complement each other, while the #2 keeps things simple with provolone and ham, letting the quality of the ingredients really shine. That's what I appreciate most: the simplicity. There's nothing overly complicated here--just fresh bread, good meats, crisp toppings, and a balance that works every single time. Everything tastes fresh, at least in my experience, and you can genuinely taste the difference compared to competitors. The bread has the right texture, the ingredients don't feel processed or stale, and the sandwiches are assembled with care. It's that consistency that keeps me coming back. No matter how many times I've ordered from this location over the years, I've never had an issue with quality. That's rare, especially for a chain. At this point, ordering from this Jersey Mike's has become second nature. I know exactly what I'm going to get, and they deliver on that expectation every time. That level of reliability, combined with solid portions and fresh ingredients, makes it an easy choice. I'll absolutely continue ordering from this location--it's one of those places you can depend on when you want something quick, filling, and consistently good.

Other places will charge extra for the large size, or up charge for extra broth/noodles. Here, they give you a large portion upfront. Amazing. Also, you don't have to add hoisin or anything - broth comes with the perfect flavor already. You can add other toppings to your liking. My husband ordered (to my surprise) chicken noodle soup. He is normally a spicy curry type person, and I was very skeptical about his choice. Well, this is not your average chicken noodle soup. If anything, this is the furthest thing from it, in the best way. The noodles are thick, soft and chewy. They slightly remind me of mochi, although they're not sweet. The broth is also subtle, flavorful and a different taste profile from the pho. Everyone enjoyed this dish, especially my little toddler. The sausage was very flavorful, moist, and paired nicely with the sauce (which was slightly spicy). And, the pork belly was the perfect brown color, soft, moist, and decadent. Forgot to take a photo though - too busy digging into the food. We are so glad to discover such a good restaurant!! Vibe is pretty relaxed. Staff was very quick and efficient. All in all, would happily come back to try more dishes.

My cousin thought the Nam Khao Tod was a little sweet. It came with a little piece of lime, but probably wasn't enough lime. I really liked the Nam Khao Tod; it came with lots of veggies. The long bean salad was also pretty good; it tasted and smelled just as how a good papaya salad should. We enjoyed our food, the only problem was we didn't get any service after we received our food. He never once checked up on us once. My cousin bit into a spicy pepper, and drank all of her water. He never came to refill, so she started drinking my water. We had been done for about 15 min, just sitting and talking, waiting for him to come by. I kept picking at my food while I was waiting, even though I was full already. Finally, my cousin went up to him to ask for boxes. Prices are pretty decent. Maybe I'll come back for takeout.

It's a small place with a couple of seatings (not big) and feels a little cramped. You order at the counter and pay and food will come out. They are located in a isolated area so you probably need to look for it and know about it. There's two businesses here, but same owner. Saimin is Hawaiian food whole mas pika is fusion. We ordered: Oxtail saimin: good flavor, oxtail was tender, broth was light yet flavorful. I like that it comes with a few veggies. Fiesta plate: 2 protein (brisket and pork belly) with rice, Mac salad, and pickle veggies --- this would have been really good if the brisket was not so tough. It was like jerky style and too tough, especially when it's cut really thick like that. Flavor was good though. My favorite thing was the rice. It was a red rice and soft and flavorful. Pork belly was crispy. Portions was good for the price. People are really nice. Definitely a place to go if you want homey food
