I have since emailed the Regional Manager, Pedro back, per his request. Until I hear back - my review still stands that they have done nothing to make this terrible experience right. And the email provided did not work, I had to search for him to email him. Wow. Sadly, went with my hubby after some shopping and had terrible drinks and service at the bar. The bartender barely paid us attention, nor asked how our drinks or food was. She was busy talking to the gentlemen at the end of the bar about her real estate business. Our drinks were flat. I had a Tito's and Red Bull but it had ZERO carbonation so it was clearly an open can that was used. My husband asked for an old-fashioned but they had no bitters, then he asked for a Manhattan but they had no sweet vermouth, so he settled with a Maker's Mark and Cointreau... "yuck". Service was ZERO stars. The hostess, who was most likely the Manager, is the only reason they get TWO stars because she was very nice and hospitable. Other than that, we probably won't visit this bar again. To the brunette bartender working the Saturday day-shift on December 16th, "please learn some customer service! Haven't been here for many years came with family for dinner. Let me start by saying the rating is mostly because of the excellent customer service provided by our server Leticia. She was very nice and did a great job keeping everything replenished and being helpful with a big party. Chips and salsa were the standard fare really can't go wrong there. The margarita sampler...I wouldn't get it again. The middle one which was a the original is the only winner. The other two taste like all sugar and no alcohol at all. The vampiros tacos were just ok. They need more seasoning, the rice had some crunchy grains :( the beans and corn cake were ok. Also tried the chili relleno my son had it definitely needed some seasoning so bland. I came by to this location today with some friends My experience was AMAZING, we got a table pretty fast in less than 5 minutes our waiter Maria was very attentive to out orders recommend us one of his favorite margaritas with his favorite appetizer the sampler, we got our food pretty fast the flautas was very tasty and our drinks on point was well. I would give more stars if I could. We left the Chevy's in Vallejo, where the service was poor, to come to the Chevys in Fairfield and was treated like family. My sister and I were celebrating her birthday unbeknowst to the server until the end and was treated like royalty by server Gina B. She made sure we had everything we needed, she gave great suggestions, and she was very knowledgeable about the food choices we made. Even though they were short staff, she made sure our chips/salsa and refills were available before we asked for them. The food was very tasty, and the restaurant was very clean all the way to the bathroom. food took a Long time to get to us and came cold and uncooked, had no flavor and did not give us what we asked for in our food. there was some food on the interior floor of the restaurant and we asked for salt, Pepper, and napkins and never got them and the workers walked passed them and we never got them. Loved this place since I was a kid with many birthdays here. Always friendly service even when it's busy. Great for large groups as they can move tables around to accommodate and the tables are already nicely spaced. Food is fairly Americanized Mexican so spicier palettes will want sauce. read more

I went to Chevy's all the time growing up as was really excited to take my friend here as he had never been and we don't have any Chevy's closeby. It did not seem that busy when we arrived yet the service was awful. We ordered two appetizers, the potato cheese balls which were pretty good and the quesadillas which were average. We were not given any plates or utensils and after 10 minutes, my friends got up to ask a server so we could actually start eating. The food arrived in a timely manner but it wasn't very good. I ordered the chicken and shrimp and fajitas. The shrimp was not seasoned and the chicken was so dry that I did not eat it. The highlight of the night was the fried ice cream, which was really good. Went for lunch today with a friend. They open at 11:00 so we got there just as they were opening. We sat down, ordered our food and the WHAM! something was dropped. We turned around and they were doing something to the "El Machino" area. So we proceeded to chat and loud scraping noises and bangs were very loud and about 12 feet aways from us. They were doing construction!!!!!!! Why now? Why not at 8:00 BEFORE you open? Contruction should have been done before they open. We couldn't even here each other talking. You can't move to another table because it's one big room. And in another part of the room, they were setting up tables and chairs and I guess none of them know how to pick up a chair, every single chair and table was scooted, that was metal scraping on a cement floor. I told the lady in charge, maitre d? who was standing in the middle of the construction talking and she apologized but it was too late!! I told her this should have been done before they opened. I told her I won't ever come back. I also had ordered some chips and Salsa to go. When I got it home, there was a long white/gray hair in it. I'm never going back to Chevy's. If you like commercialized Mexican food and a place for your friends to hang out with a full bar this is the place to go. I haven't been to this location for years but came in on a Friday night closer to closing and wasn't impressed with the service. Our server was new and she did put a lot of effort but she kept on forgetting to give us plates and things we asked for. The food also was just ok, we were full of chips and salsa before our food came. I got the nachos grande with beef and there was beans all on the bottom and the chips were burnt. Same with one of the salads. Their flautas are also pretty good with their sweet sauce. They had a bigger happy hour meal in the past but we usually just get flautas, nachos, appetizers, chicken wings and margaritas. Love their chips and salsa. Occasionally I like to get their crab & shrimp enchiladas. My family likes to order fajitas. You can also ask for tortillas, we used to get Mexican butter on the side and dip our tortillas in it. Requested to get a seat at the nearly empty bar, but was told that the wait would be 30 min. Decided to sit in main restaurant. The service started off fine but ended as below average, since your order would be delivered, but any requests to add or minus items were disregarded. Also if you order includes a tamale, expect it to be 95% masa and less than 5% meat, almost uneatable. I had a lot of good memories of Chevy's from over the years, but it's been a while since I've been there since there are none local to me anymore.
