Came here for the first time after shopping at the mall nearby. I got the meal where you get a couple enchiladas plus the cornbread like side and Spanish rice. The reason why I'm providing three stars is because I asked for no onions and got the meal served with onions all over and inside the enchiladas. When I mentioned that, they said they would fix it and send a new meal. Once I got the new meal, it had the same issue. Their website says brunch til 3pm . we arrived at 12:30, they said hour and a half wait but that they don't have any buzzers left available so to just check back in an hour or so . Go back in to check in an hour later (As our party of 8 was told to do!) and they said they seated someone at our table because they already called our name , so they would have to put us at the bottom of the list again . First of all There is literally no standing room in their waiting area . So there is no room inside to wait at all ! Second of all If your Chevys website is going to state that you offer brunch until 3 pm , Why not inform your customers that your brunch actually gets taken down at 1:30 ??? Maybe invest in some more buzzers , better hostess training , and a better system in how to inform customers that their table is actually ready way ahead of the time you told them so you don't have pissed off hungry customers that have been waiting for an hour already and then tell them they will have to wait another 45 mins . For chain mexican, this place is alright. It's a solid 3. This location was packed on half price margarita night so expect a small wait on busy nights. And if you don't feel like waiting- hey, La Fiesta is right down the street and has some good mexican. I seldom write a bad review. However, my friend and I had dinner at Chevy's after viewing a great movie. Our meal was not great! Her burrito with sides was flavorless and very dry. I had a fajita salad that was lacking fajita ingredients. The dressing was tasty but not enough to order this salad again. Great Place for a large group gathering! We had a Party of about 20 Sunday afternoon for a 21st Birthday celebration with family. Amazing service by Peaches (our server). Peaches was able to take care of our entire crazy loud talking group with ease! We were all ordering different drinks and food all on different tickets. Not once did we have to ask for more chips and salsa because she kept us stocked up. Everything was delicious from the yummy margaritas to the fried ice cream dessert! A friend and I stopped in for supper last night. It was a short 15 minute wait for a table. As we were waiting though, the hostesses were making comments about customers as they were coming in and out. It was very uncomfortable. One of the hostesses kept putting a pen in her mouth and then handing waiting customers vibrating pagers. Very unsanitary. The server that took care of us was great? She was friendly and attentive. I ended up at Chevy's Fresh Mex on accident. I actually was trying to find a different Mexican restaurant on my GPS but settled with it since it was on my way. I went around lunch and the place was certainly busy. With outdoor seating, lots of lunch menu perks and an interesting boastful quote of "there is no-CANS in our kitchen" (Everything is made fresh.) it was an interesting dining experience. For starters, because it is a "Mexican Grill", the selection for a vegetarian was very, very limiting. There wasn't even anything with beans and the best non-meat options were oftentimes cheese with modified sauce(I.e. enchiladas without enchilada sauce.) I ended up getting an enchilada and a chile relano. Both were OK and the Chile Relano was one of the better versions of the dish that I have had. The chips and beans were incredibly salty..too salty IMO. The cheese was cheddar-ish in the Enchilada which I also was not a huge fan of. The service was OK. The drink menu was extensive and featured some interesting drinks such as $30 shots of tequila(yikes!). I didn't try any of those items but it seems like a very suitable place for drinks and a good time. It did feature a "cantina" for the serious drinkers and partiers. Overall, it was OK. It was better than a lot of chain Mexican grill restaurants that I have been to but the restrictive diet I have definitely lowered my opinion of it greatly..and too much salt! read more

Had lunch here one day last week on a trip to Sioux Falls. It was good. Had a combo of a chili relleno and cheese enchilada with refried beans and rice. Another had a combo of tortilla soup (waitress called it spicy, husband did not) and the steak quesadilla. And our other eater got the vegetable lunch burrito which was HUGE. She took more than half home. The salsa that came with the chips was fresh, but sure could have used some heat. We asked for a spicier salsa which the waitress brought. It had a little more heat, but not much. The relleno had a thick batter, but was very tasty. I swear everywhere I go restaurants make rellenos differently, and this was a good version.
