The service at Chez Fabian was outstanding! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is quaint and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My hamburger was made as I requested and was really good, seasoned well, and the bun was tasty. The French fries were skinny, but good enough. It's a little pricey, but it's right on Main Street so it's and worth stopping in.

Had such high hopes for this place. Got seated relatively quickly and waited on. Coffee was very strong but quite good. Based upon reviews and waiter recommendation, I ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries. The top part of the sandwich was crispy but the bottom bread was completely soggy and falling apart. My hands were covered in grease. Ended up eating it with a fork and knife and left the bread behind. Will say that the pork and ham had great flavor and amazing texture. Too bad about the grease. The fries for both my SO and I were just horrible. They were half raw, soggy, and bland. Guess bright side is it kept me from eating too many? My SO enjoyed his Club sandwich. He said it could've been better, but he ate it all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a cute place in downtown Grapevine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Perhaps we caught it on a bad day. Will say the ladies next to us ordered various salads that came out smelling like a porta-potty. So, salads may be off for me as well.

Stopped by for lunch whilst wandering down Main Street. It was busy but we found a seat at the bar. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive. We were given waters and menus promptly. My husbands old fashioned was just okay, my French 75 was great he gave me extra champagne on the side. I got a French dip sandwich watch was good my husband got a Cuban which was very bland just tasted like a ham sandwich. He also got the French onion soup which he likes. Was in grapevine for work and wanted something close to the hotel for dinner.. WOW! Can we talk about these truffle fries? Truly unreal. I would come back simply for them!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is cool - they had live music![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was awesome! Wine selection was good. I got the fries and then mushroom risotto for dinner and they both were excellent!! I do suggest reservations - just to be safe! It was quite busy!

Wow - really good! As we were flying out of DFW early in the morning and staying near Grapevine overnight - we needed a place for dinner. My wife booked a reservation at Chez Fabien. We arrived half hour early and they were able to seat of as a nice corner booth. The both was tall and had soft fabric on the setbacks. Good thing as it helped with the sound in the place. So the booth was comfortable but the sound was rather loud - some parties louder than others. No worries - I popped by AirPods in :) Our waiter was Alex. He was very pleasant. We ordered cocktails and told Alex we were taking the night slow as our entry time into offsite parking was for 2 hours later. The wife and I both ordered their French Old Fashioned. They were really nice and only $13. Later, we ordered the Calamari appetizer. It too was really good. It came with two dipping sauces and there were some fried veggies in addition to the calamari. The kitchen here is freaky fast. It could not have been more than 5 minutes and the appetizer was brought to the table by a runner. A while later, we ordered dinner. We shared their Beef Bourguignon. It was very tasty and was plenty to share. For dessert, we ordered a slice of Italian Cream Cake to go for eating later, back at the hotel. Oh my gosh, the slice was huge and was so fresh and moist. It could be the best I've ever had. The menu here at Chez Fabien has a lot to offer. If you don't think you care for French food, you will still find plenty of options that will please you. And for downtown Grapevine, I also felt the price was nice for the drinks and food.

My sister in law recommended Chez Fabien, saying it was her fav spot to grab dinner near the airport. It was quite a busy Sunday with an all day street festival taking place, and the experience may have been a bit different on our visit but bff and I came in for dinner before I dropped him to DFW. I loved my French old fashioned. We started with the baked Brie, omg!!!!! Sooooo good. The bread was insane delish! and T H I C K!!! I ordered the truffle ravioli and a side Caesar salad. My meal was so tasty! I can totally see how this is my sister's fav spot in Grapevine. I'll definitely be returning. It may become my regular dinner spot as I drop guest to the airport.

We stopped in for a late lunch, without a reservation, and the wait was about 20 minutes. They text you when your table is ready so we could shop around and not waste time waiting. Such a cool space and loved the lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with a Brie and wild mushroom appetizer and I'm sad I don't remember the official name because it was fantastic. The combination of it all was so tasty. After that we weren't super hungry so we all three split the Parmesan fries, Cuban sandwich, and a Rueben. So glad we did as the portions were generous. Everything was phenomenal. The birthday girl with us still raves about the sandwiches as one of her favorite parts of the day! Overall great service, unique tasty food, and just a fun place you should try.

The food here was wonderful. I can never pass up a smoked salmon Benedict and my friends had their paninis. Desert was creme Brule which I can never pass up either. It was delicious!!! Parking can be challenging especially during the weekend but there are Parking lots in the back and across the street near Napoli's. It seem small from the outside but does seat quite a bit inside. They have a pastry shop next door that is just as tasty as Vie a Paris behind NE Mall. I would love to go again. Oh, their Texas Bloody Mary was delish as well.

This is one of our family's go-to restaurants in town where we are consistently met with friendly service and foodie-level cuisine that feels like an American-French-Italian fusion. During a long flight layover yesterday, my aunt picked me up and we dropped in so she could have breakfast and I could have whatever looked delicious. We were seated right away in the back right, just beyond the bar, at the cozy covered bench seats. Even at 11 a.m., the place was already pretty busy. We ordered coffees--regular and iced--to start. She then ordered an omelette that came complete with house potatoes. I wasn't very hungry, so I asked for a recommendation between the mushroom bruschetta and the escargots appetizer. I was told the escargot was lighter. Done. The escargot was a nice choice, though it was still a little heavy given all the French bread slices that I definitely used soak up all the leftover "juices"--a light mix of the oil from the pesto sauce. Never leave the juices behind! This was a unique presentation in that it had a buttery puff pastry on top, which was delicious. The meat itself was slightly smaller and with a distinct and unusual flavor than I'm used to, but the pesto sauce was the co-star with the puff pastry. Tip: Go early if you can to avoid the rush!

I went here to celebrate my mom's birthday because of her love for France and how great of an area this restaurant is located in. The ambiance was nice, dark lighting and it was quiet and very easy to socialize. Most of the food was great, our appetizers of baked brie and bread and the mushroom flatbread were fantastic. I wasn't a huge fan of the Brussel sprouts, they had too much sauce and it was too sweet. The lamb burger was okay, but nothing special, it could have been better seasoned. However, the crepe was fantastic, as to be expected at a French restaurant. The service was attentive, and at the end of our meal we got chocolate cake for my mom's birthday and it was fudgy and rich and delicious.

This is not our first time here. We just keep on coming back! Food is sumptuous! Service is 5 star. Love the ambience. The live music on Saturdays is wonderful! The 2.5 hour wait this past Saturday was worth it! We just had to stroll along Main St and enjoyed Christmas lights and decors and Christmas spirit.

My husband and i were looking for a French restaurant after coming back from our visit to France so we opted to try out this restaurant for a Sunday brunch. Although the service we received was very pleasant, we were highly disappointed in the food. Everything tasted and looked like generic American food - nothing organic or local. Presentation was very basic which is why I didn't even take any photos of my food. The website highly oversells the experience in my opinion. I should have known something was off when I first received my cappuccino in a huge cup that was like a bowl of milk for cereal. My husband ordered a cinnamon role which he was not impressed with at all either. After we ate our breakfast, we both felt very sluggish. The togo cafe next door looked cute but after our dining experience we were not motivated to purchase any other pastries. Ambiance and decor is quaint but very disappointing that this restaurant claims to represent a French experience because the food tasted nothing like France. Will not be return. read more

You're better off at IHOP! Hostesses nicely greeted my gf and me and we thought this was going to be a great lunch/cocktail date on a recommendation from a friend. Positives: great atmosphere, the bar and seating areas are nice and the vibe is chill. Negatives: the bartender was initially stand off ish and seemed bothered, but did get nicer about halfway through. They seem to treat regular patrons like gold and are high school girl rude to others. Annoying. Anyway, I got sangria and requested lighter on the schnapps, don't like it too sweet, and it was still SO sweet. Like Welch's grape juice. Could hardly taste any wine. And 1 wedge of orange was the only fruit and that's what they call a sangria? Yikes... The food: it was barely okay. The flavor of the spinach and artichoke dip was good, but the spinach wasn't chopped and barely cooked leaving big honks of half wilted spinach stuck in your throat. It was a task to eat. The croque madame was disappointing, too. The bread was nothing special (felt like regular supermarket bagged bread) and the ham appeared to be thicker cut deli meat without the distinct flavor you'd expect from this French classic. Same with the caprese sandwich... the pesto tasted packaged and the mozzarella was basically flavorless slapped on a baguette with some really dull-tasting tomatoes. We also got a side of potatoes with the croque and they were definitely from a frozen bag. So lame. It's a letdown because the menu reads well, but you get it all and end up disappointed. Nothing about the food was unique. Felt like a lot of short cuts and no in-house signature flavors or effort. Not worth their menu prices. And certainly not the least bit French. read more

Holy crap the food was pretty damn good here. The Brie and Texas toast were insane and the Scallops with mushroom Risotto were also phenomenal. Cute tables and attentive staff. Just wish there was a little more of a special touch for the birthday occasion. A candle or something would have made this extra special but I would 1000% come back here. read more

This is a very popular lunch/brunch place we wanted to try out before hitting the wineries on a Saturday. The wait was about 45 minutes long but we got a couple of spaces at the bar. These two bartenders were fabulous!! Greeted immediately and these guys were busy! They had a full bar and we were all ordering cocktails. The vibe is trendy and industrial. Great vibes!!! We ordered prosecco and it was perfectly chilled and crisp. I originally wanted the Croque Monsier but they had run out. I order the grilled cheese instead and was very happy with it! It's a grown up grilled cheese and so yummy! The tomato soup was perfect. My friend ordered the Migas and she said it was just okay. It lacked flavor. They need to add some pizzazz to it. The bartenders were attentive and this was a great meal overall. We'll be back! read more

I have visited this restaurant at least three times for lunch, and each experience has consistently met my expectations--I'd rate them around 9 out of 10. However, my recent visit last Saturday around 8 PM for a drink and a snack was disappointing. The service was subpar. Despite informing the server that the food did not meet expectations, no one followed up to apologize or offer an explanation. The item remained on the bill regardless. We ordered the fried shrimp and calamari dish, which was extremely poor in quality--there were no visible shrimp, and only two very small calamari rings. The rest of the plate consisted mainly of fried bread crumbs and a few peppers. Unfortunately, this was the worst calamari dish I've ever had. I strongly advise against ordering it. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the quality and service concerns. read more

Stopped by for a light lunch after walking around downtown grapevine. Salads and espressos were great. I had the wedge and it was exactly what I needed. I also got a cappuccino, which came in a large mug. It was more like a latte, but yummy nonetheless. read more

So I too have been a patron of Chez Fabien for the last year or so. In general, I love the environment and I have had only positive experiences with the bartender, Leah. The issue here is that certain "regulars" at the bar seem to feel that almost any behavior is acceptable. While I normally laugh this off (or try), the other night this sense of permissibility resulted in my friend being admonished and maligned with very threatening language (and behavior) for his perceived sexual orientation. I have never witnessed anything like this in my life and I've lived in DFW for all of it. This was absolutely nuts. The management did not protect him or us. Instead, they gave apparent cover to the person screaming the gay slurs by demanding that we leave even though neither of us had done anything wrong. My friend's crime was apparently standing up to this bully with words alone, in an attempt to dissuade him from doing something worse. How do we know if he is armed or what's about to happen? The owner, who I reached out to on behalf of myself and my friend has NEVER responded to me. To be clear, I am a different person. I am a human being. I'm a woman. I'm a customer of his. He may not like my friend's estimation of his management's lack of responsibility or much worse, his own, but I too never received an apology. They did charge me for the drinks which we did not finish as we were exited for the crime of um...not enjoying a Gay slurfest? Now I see Mr. Goury is leveling private threats to further publicly insult the true victim here, who is my friend. A man who was silently taking a selfie in the corner of the bar while waiting for me to return from the restroom. Lastly, neither of us have gone into the details of what was said to us when we arrived. The homophobic craziness started immediately and it is unbelievable. Wish we would have just left. The incident at the bar later on was just the culmination. Ironically, there is nothing about either one of us that screams our sexual orientation. We were just out celebrating my friend getting his citizenship. Perhaps the American flag was the trigger. Who knows? I also want to say that Mr. Goury needs to brush up on the 1st Amendment. In this country, we have the right to speak the truth freely. He may not feel that his staff nor he owes us an apology but I can say that he has no business privately or publicly admonishing either of us for being outraged about what happened in his restaurant, nor putting that outrage into writing. Even more concerning than Mr. Goury's lack of respect and concern for his customers' safety is his lack of concern for his staff. If his customers are allowed to be verbally maligned, his staff are at risk for this permissible behavior as well. Mr. Goury is not directly responsible for his other customer's verbal attack; however, he is responsible for his staff's response and his lack of concern for his customers. advice to anyone who goes: do NOT get the waffle. most mid waffle i've ever had and felt like it was a total waste of money. the fruit sauce served with it was ICE cold which creates a weird juxtaposition between warm waffle and freezing cold berries. my suggestion: maybe serve it with a warm jam instead i'm sure the other food is good- just didn't wanna risk it if the waffle was THAT disappointing (especially after having to wait to be seated for 30 minutes and another 30 for the food to come out) read more

I was looking for a fabulous dessert restaurant around Mid-Cities and stumbled upon this amazing gem on Foogle on NainStreet, Grapevine. My parents were hosting my Aunt and Uncle from out if town and are self-professed foodies and after reading reviews and knowing how quaint and magical that part if Grapevine is, we decided ro have dessert and my kids and I had dinner. First of all, I must give the hostess, Ashley, big kudos for squeezing our family of 7 in without a reservation, and it was a full restaurant. I was very thankful that she heard me out while I pled my case and found our big party a table within 10 minutes. Also, the food was out of this world, so were the cocktails were. My son had a giant, delicious hamburger, and I had the fantastic scallops with mushroom risotto. Everything was so well cooked and delicious!! Everyone also shared the wonderful desserts, which was why we were all there. We all shared the creme brulee, bread pudding, chocolate molten cake, and strawberry banana crepes. True to Google, the desserts were all really fantastic. Also, the French Old Fashioned cocktail was delicious. All 7 of us highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. I brought my family to dinner because it's one of our faves. Tonight we started off with the warmed Brie. Then we had French onion soup, Sea Bass and Short Ribs Beef Bourguignon. We finished off the meal with their delicious crème brûlée. Daniel took great care of us and our meal was delicious. We sat in the back where it's nice and moody and it was peI loved that it was a quiet night but most evenings, it's definitely bustling. The quality is always evident and tonight was no exception. Main Street Bistro Manager - Michael Waiter - David Very Professional - Intimate and Charming Atmosphere - Excellent, Delightful And Mouthwatering Food Choices!! - My Favorite dish is Veggie Omelette and the Strawberry Romanoff Crepe is to die for!! In fact - my tongue was so overwhelmed with delight from the flavors in my food - that I Lost My Mind and Accidentally Left My Credit Card!! No worries- a week later when I called the restaurant, they confirmed that they indeed had my credit card. Grabbed a quick post-breakfast snack here (if you have young kids, you know what I mean). It was super convenient to just grab something to-go from the bakery that is located next to the sit down restaurant. The heated up our croissants as well. Both were amazing - I loved the almond one - lots of filling and flakey layers! This is a legitimate French style bakery! My in-laws came here for dinner the night before and had great things to say about it. Will have to check it out when we are in town again! read more

Our first time in Grapevine and we happened upon this place with the help of Corey, a local! We came back two more times while we were here. We had dinner and breakfast! The food was outstanding but the service was better. Sidney and Morgan are great. The local crowd welcomed us and helped us enjoy our visit! Would highly recommend. read more

We come here several times throughout the year. The service is always excellent and the food is delicious. This is our favorite spot for escargot. The drinks are also a hit. You can't go wrong here. The ambience is calming with the dim lights, but it's not too dark. There's normally live music and it's always a good time - never too loud. I highly recommend this spot for any occasion. read more

Appropriate amount of firmness, sweetness (not overbearing) Dark chocolate mocha with coconut milk - basic chocolate mocha (I feel like mixing with coconut reduced it's flavor so that was on me; I try to do dairy-free). Chocolate almond crossaint - basic. Nothing noteworthy. Orange berry scone - tasty and not somewhat soft; sweet but not overbearing; Cinnamon scone: most delicious! Ohioans here - we stopped for breakfast while in town visiting friends and cannot recommend Chez Fabian enough. Everything we had was fantastic! Being a Monday morning we were able to sit right away but I would assume there's a decent wait on the weekends. I enjoyed the quiche florentine - very generous slice, it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the smoked salmon benedict which he said was great and not overeat heavy. Lastly, we split the bread pudding French toast - wow! Love Chez Fabien happy hour! Delicious French Old Fashioned's and great appetizer options! Even though it's not on HH, can't recommend the mussels and fries enough! This Texan French creole restaurant was such a great find. This small time of grapevine has some pretty amazing restaurants. There was live music which was perfect for this atmosphere. The music wasn't too loud which was perfect. We wanted a little bit of seafood and found such and amazing spot for it. Well we were pretty hungry so we started with the artichoke dip which was very creamy and warm. Then we moved onto the entrees which were amazing. Definitely going back for more. The lobster grilled cheese and lobster bisque was so delicious. It was buttery and a little crunchy because of the bread which made for the perfect sandwich. You had to dip the grilled cheese in the lobster bisque. Couldn't have been a better pair. Boy they do not cut you back on any seafood was pretty surprise the amount of meat in the entrees. We like this place. I'm on the fence about going back. The past two times we've gone in, there are plenty of open seats and a different waitress has said the same thing to us-we have a reservation in a couple of hours, will that be enough time for you all to eat? It's strange. It's like the restaurant purposely says this to make sure you don't spend more than an hour or so inside. The food is good but I have mixed feelings on the service. read more

At times it gave me a bit of a "been there, seen that" feeling, like they pulled some of the most popular concepts from past installations and reimagined them here. But even with that, I still had a really good time. The execution is so well done, and there's something fun about recognizing pieces from other locations and seeing how they've been adapted. It's still incredibly immersive, visually impressive, and just a genuinely cool experience to walk through. It may not have had the same "wow, I've never seen this before" feeling as my first visit, but it's still absolutely worth going - and I'd still give it 5 stars without hesitation!

My husband and I needed a fun activity to do together (without the kids) for our 18th wedding anniversary and I decided it looked neat enough to go to, even if it was mainly just an immersive art experience. I was 1000% wrong. It is way, way more than that. It is intense and entertaining and intriguinging and kept our attention and interest for nearly 3 hours on our extended date. We felt a bit like kids again, and there was even more of the experience that we didn't fully explore in that timeframe. It's hard to explain without giving away spoilers but it was incredibly interesting and multifaceted and immersive, but not directly as an art exhibit as much as like you are in a storyline in an Alice in Wonderland-like world with multiple dimensions and most everything is interactive. Touch everything, push the buttons, open the doors and drawers and cabinets, cause there are hidden treasures and such at every turn. The employees were wonderful. No one broke character, they were just as present as you'd want them to be (they're there in part to answer questions and help with whatever is needed), and they all were welcoming. One in particular stood out - Reinhart. I didn't know it until after we exited the experience but they're the manager at the location. That doesn't surprise me because they were a role model for how the staff there should interact with the people attending the experience. They may all do that too truly, but I can only speak directly about this manager as we crossed paths with them so many times. There was a group of elementary-aged kiddos who were clearly having the time of their lives and part of that was due to Reinhart's interactions. The kids would treat them as a customer in their game of "Restaurant", ask them to be a member of their audience as they performed on the stage for them, invite them to walk around with them throughout the different areas of the experience, etc. They stayed in character and interacted with the kids on their level, never seeming bored or inconvenienced, and always game for whatever they wanted of them. They were definitely invested in the kids having the ultimate experience that day and I'm certain they did, in large part due to the way Reinhart enhanced the experience for them throughout their time there. When we left (shortly after the group of kids) they were already at the register helping out and being readily available for the customers in the gift shop. They definitely fulfill the spirit of the place and made it even more fun for us just by being around their great interactions with the kids. Cost: Worth it. 100%. To be clear, I am a pretty cheap person, which is why I had deferred taking my 2 kiddos to it even though they were interested. I didn't want to spend that much money on what I thought was a nice but fairly straightforward art experience but now that we truly understand what it is we will DEFINITELY be bringing them back, as well as our girl scout troop. We're also gonna have my kids upcoming birthday party here too, her request. My only regret is just buying one time tickets and not buying my hubby and I the membership, as it pays for itself after only 2 visits and we will definitely want to go to this and other Meow Wolfs later this summer. They have multiple locations across the US and each one has a different experience/storyline/exhibits, so it's worth going to any of them your near as they aren't all the same. We will likely get our kids the membership when we take them soon. There is an integrated snack shack in the experience and the prices aren't bad, better than a lot of places we've gone to in the past. You can't bring outside food and drink but they do have water stations to fill up an empty bottle at, if you bring one. To summarize - 10/10, highly recommend, will go again, cheapskate approved!!!

The meat is equal if not better than Texas de Brazil but that could be because when i went to Tex de Brazil it was suuuuper busy. The meat at Chama was perhaps a bit more memorable due to being hotter/fresh off the grill vs having made its rounds more. This is the one major thing that was missing from Chama: the mint chutney. That is a standout item at Tex de Brazil and given the fact that both serve multiple types of lamb, it was deeply missed at Chama. Idk im just a condiment junkie but idc how well the meat is seasoned and how high the quality (and Chama is unparalleled in both of those areas) i prefer to have some type of sauce for dipping. Ambience couldnt be better. Beautiful building and entrance, gorgeous lighting fixtures, just a really beautiful upscale experience Service was absolutely phenomenal. My mom preferred Chama Gaucho to Texas de Brazil by a long shot, worth noting. All in all, its tied for the number one placeholder for the best meal I've had in my life. Chez Fabien offers a visually stunning dining experience with its gorgeous interior, setting a perfect ambiance for a memorable meal. Traveling with my two kids, I was impressed by the exceptional service, with our server providing attentive and friendly care throughout the evening. The tomato basil bisque was incredible. The mushroom risotto was equally impressive. Creamy perfection. However, the scallops were a significant disappointment. They were not fresh and had the unmistakable ammonia flavor, which detracted from an otherwise wonderful meal. Additionally, there was a couple at the bar who needed to get a room; their excessive making out and ass grabbing left us stunned and uncomfortable. Had a late lunch here with a friend and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The interior feels warm, moody, and effortlessly stylish with exposed brick, glowing Edison lights, rich wood tones, and little touches that make the whole space feel both lively and intimate at the same time. It has that kind of European-inspired charm that makes you immediately want to settle in and stay awhile. We shared an omelette and the Miso Bowl, and both were delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. There's also a bakery next door with coffee, pastries, brownies, and all kinds of tempting things that are very hard to walk past without ordering "just one more thing." Beautiful space, great food, and such a lovely place to spend a slow afternoon. read more
