    Chicken fried rice
    Scott W.

Parking is free for this place, which is always nice to have. Entering, you can see there's two main things they do--chicken and beer. They have other things, chicken and beer are what people go for. The atmosphere is very casual since it's partly bar. Service, while not necessarily bad, is comparable to what to expect from a bar. When it comes to food, be warned a lot of the dishes are extremely large portions. The Pa Dak (boneless chicken bites with scallions) and the Yang Pa Dak (with onions) are huge portions, more like a party plate. The bi bim bap and chicken fried rice we had we more normal-sized. Everything was very tasty.

Always great. Service is friendly, place clean and food fresh. Lunch special wings are a good deal. 12.95 wings and rice

This place may always seem empty, but its take-out game is on point! This is Korean fried chicken, and it's awesome! I definitely recommend having a Korean beer as well (Cass is good!) because it does pair nicely with the chicken. My only issue is the service here. They typically only have 1 person in front. Yes, it's a small place, but this person manages the pick-up orders and the bar and the dining area, so they're typically not chatty, nice, or willing to make recommendations / explain some dishes. I guess that's fair...

Their fried chicken is like Bonchon's, only their pieces are larger. I ordered the combo with wings and drumsticks. I thought they were pretty good. I only bought their chicken to compare them to Bonchon so that's the only food item I can review. Other than that, their restaurant was very clean. The tables and chairs were stacked up so they're not allowing people to eat inside during the pandemic. You can either pick up your order or have DoorDash deliver your order to you. Customer service was super friendly. I like them.

I was craving wings, but didn't want a "fast food chain" establishment.. Went to Yelp, and found this spot and wasn't disappointed! 13 Aug, I went here for the first time and called in the "lunch special" wings that they have for $8.95 with (1) side. I elected for the horseradish as a side For the wings, I got half soy garlic/spicy Both were seasoned nicely and the spicy had a comfortable kick! I actually enjoyed both flavors, and the wings were crispy (which I like)! If you are getting it to go, I could call ahead because when I called to place the order, I was told that it would be 35 min. I will definitely return!

Forgot to take a picture before eating... chicken and rice and dumplings!

Yum! Great chicken! Great dumplings! (Mandoo) Great chicken and rice! Definitely recommend all of it. One of my favorite places I've eaten!

While my dad was in town, we wanted to try a new place for dinner. My husband is half Korean so we love and eat a lot of Korean food. We went on a Saturday evening and it surprisingly wasn't too crowded. You order at the counter and they will keep your tab open and bring the food to you. Our cashier let us know it would be a 35 min wait for the chicken because it's made fresh - which we didn't mind and appreciated the heads up. We started off with tteokbokki, one of my husband's favorite comfort foods. It was very flavorful and cooked perfectly, not chewy. I opted for a side salad (because I have to watch my carbs) with the vinaigrette dressing - the salad was bigger than I thought it would be. While we waited, my husband and dad tried different beers and soju. I would have joined them, but I'm pregnant so I can't :( We ordered 30 wings to split between the three of us and chose pickled radish as the side. When we got our wings (half soy garlic, half spicy), they were soooo hot and crispy, just the way they should be. As far as flavors, I preferred the soy garlic but my dad and husband preferred the spicy. Next time we're craving Korean fried chicken, we will definitely be coming back here! I can't believe Chi Mc Chicken and Beer is so close to our house and we've never been until recently.

Tried the soy ginger wings and a couple of spicy wings during lunch. They came out piping hot and incredibly delicious! The spicy wings are definitely up there in heat. The soy ginger wings were very good. The service was excellent and I had a wonderful lunch there. Definitely worth a stop if your looking for a different type of wing.

After hearing good things about Aslin, we decided to stop in while exploring Alexandria's brewery…read morescene, and we're glad we did. This place is much bigger than it appears from the outside. The brewery has a huge open layout with multiple levels, plenty of seating, a full kitchen, arcade games, merchandise, and lots of room to spread out. There was even a private event taking place during our visit, but the space is so large that it never affected the experience. Of course, the main reason we came was the beer. Aslin has built a strong reputation for a reason. The IPA I ordered was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for from a brewery known for hop-forward beers. We also decided to grab some food and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The pepperoni and hot honey pizza was outstanding, with a crispy crust and just the right amount of sweetness from the honey. The cheese curds were another winner and paired perfectly with the beer. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and everything felt well organized despite a steady crowd. I also appreciated the large selection of beer to-go, glassware, hats, shirts, and other brewery swag available for purchase. One thing to note: they are completely cashless, so bring a credit or debit card. Between the excellent beer, surprisingly good food, fun atmosphere, and spacious layout, Aslin ended up being one of our favorite brewery stops in Alexandria. We'd happily come back for another round of IPAs and pizza the next time we're in town.

Like ever. Ask my husband, I get it on almost every menu and I will dream about this one forever. The kale salad was all the right amount of texture and flavor and the hot honey pepperoni pizza was a treat. Also, I jude places on the ranch and this one absolutely passed! The sours were great. Would not recommend the wine though- the white was very full bodied and savory? lol.

Today, we were greeted quickly and warmly and shown to a table. My Dad had a huge burger, which he said was good. My sister had the Gumbo- I tasted it and it was delicious! My Caribbean chicken and shrimp would've been delicious, but the chicken was way way too salty! The shrimp and beans and rice were both good. I'm so glad I ordered the sauce on the side because it ratcheted up the salt level to briny. Our server was adequate. The dining room is in a sort of weird U-shaped to me, but and spaced to serve. The friendly Manager stopped by our table to give my little niece a toy, and check on our experience. Our food hadn't come yet, so I didn't share that I didn't enjoy my meal. The spaghetti had a curry taste that I personally didn't enjoy, and the cocktail was way too sweet for my liking. Our server was nice, but we didn't receive silverware until after our food had already been served, which was a little frustrating especially since the restaurant was not very crowded at the time. One positive was that parking was very convenient and easy.

Curiously, El Paso was playing music on the sidewalk, but the music was of some pop strain and definitely not Mexican. For such a hectic evening, service inside was surprisingly good. This was our third visit here. We swore we wouldn't come back after the last time here when our expensive and tiny tequila shots came in shot glasses where the bottom of the glass was halfway to the top of the glass. But hey, who were we to turn down a free Cinco De Mayo dinner? So back here we were. Somebody at our table mentioned that the El Pasos in the DMV were not all owned by a single person, that the brothers in the family had a falling out so these El Pasos have different owners now. That would explain why the El Paso next to Five Guys up on Richmond Highway has such different menus and service. Our favorite El Paso remains the location in Springfield. I went with the birria tacos. They were fat and tasty and came with a great dipping sauce. They also came with rice and beans on a separate plate. A kind of white queso fundido was ordered for the table to go with the brightly colored tortilla chips. This cheese sauce was more like gravy than a true queso fundido. Parking is tight but you will always find parking in back near other businesses.
