We visited CF on a Friday at 330pm, and we were seated promptly. The decor is tasteful and had that Chicago city feel.  The music was a tad loud and could see where at peak hours the noise may be a bit much.   We know it takes a while to make a deep dish pie, so we didn't hesitate to put our order in for a medium combo.  We also each ordered a salad. Salads Salads were large and could have been shared.  I enjoyed the traditional Italian salad while my husband opted for the pear salad. I loved the simplicity and lightness of the Italian dressing. The lettuce could have been crisper. Pizza We waited maybe 20 min and our pizza arrived.  The crust was thick but lacked flavor.  Maybe the pans need to be oiled more to achieve that buttery crunchy exterior. It was like the dough was overworked and lacked that typical yeasty flavor that I am familiar with.  The sausage tasted good, not fatty chunks like we see so often on pizza.  The pepperoni was thin, but it took a few bites before I tasted the pepperoni. Loved the mozzarella cheese; it was layered on the bottom as is traditional  and it was nice and  stringy, just like the cheese I grew up with. The rest of the veggie toppings (onions, peppers, and mushrooms) were fresh tasting, and you could taste them in every bite.   I appreciate the chunky tomatoes on top.  They tasted ripe and weren't hindered by unneeded flavors like garlic and oregano. We were both full after one slice.   Overall, we enjoyed our pizza;  it made for great leftovers the next day. We will return to try a sandwich or a lunch combo. This is definitely a much needed addition to the TV pizza scene. read more

Fantastic Service by Maia!! Could not have been better! 10 STAR if it was available!!

My family and I visited Chicago Fire last night and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience with our server, Marshall. We've been coming here as a family for a long time, and this experience was very unlike the positive visits we usually have. First, I want to say the food was amazing as always, and we have absolutely nothing against Chicago Fire as a whole. We genuinely love this restaurant and that's why we felt it was important to share this experience honestly. Throughout the meal, the way Marshall stared at our table made several of us uncomfortable. We also overheard him speaking to coworkers in a way that came across as dismissive and disrespectful. The overall service felt awkward and unpleasant from start to finish. At the end of the meal, he handed us a Yelp review card and asked us to leave a review to help him win money of some sort, which honestly made the situation even more uncomfortable given the experience we had just had. We will absolutely continue supporting Chicago Fire because we've always had great experiences otherwise, but we sincerely hope we do not have Marshall as our server again. read more

Went with my boss and co-worker this evening. Food was OK. We had a small deep dish, Chicken Parm. and a Meatball sub. Apps were good. This review (and the 4th star) is actually about Maia, our server. Not sure why we were having a hard time deciding on what we wanted and so indecisive when placing our order, but wanted to say that Maia was absolutely so patient with us. We did not mean to give her a hard time and she took it in stride. Always smiled. Very friendly and overall great customer service. Just wanted to say that about her and to thank her for putting up with us. Told my boss that he better have given her a good tip. I think we were all just tired (we were traveling around Boise/Meridian all day). She mentioned it was a long day for her as well and she still was in good spirits. Thank you Maia! read more

I was hesitant to even post a review about Chicago Fire based on our experience, but wanted to provide some things to consider about this new restaurant. We look forward to going back in a few months when it's not so new and the staff hopefully has it dialed in. Food: 4/5. We got The Chicago deep dish pizza. One thing to note is that you have to actually order the pizza deep dish which can be confusing just looking at the menu. This was my first time ever having deep dish pizza, but it was not what I was expecting and was honestly lacking in flavor and ingredients. Others have said it took 45 minutes to get their pizza where ours took about 20 minutes. We also ordered the wings which were just ok. Nothing special. Service: 4/5. Our server was really nice however made several errors during our experience. The waiter would have us repeat our order a few times and things still came out wrong. Our friends has ordered fried artichoke hearts and got the baked artichoke instead. Someone also ordered a large beer and got a small. When he mentioned that to the waiter the waiter said he would take care of it and brought out a completely different beer. He also didn't seem to know the POS system so it took a while for him to get our order in. I had also asked for an iced tea when everyone was ordering drinks and ended up having to reorder it since it never showed up. All things I'm hoping time will help with. Atmosphere: 4/5. I really liked the tall booths. It was extremely loud like others of said. So loud that our waiter had to ask us to repeat our order several times. At one point the lights were dimmed (even though it was already pretty dim) which made it seem fairly dark and hard to see the menu. Kid friendly: 4/5. Based on the atmosphere I'm not sure I would recommend small children here but older kids would be ok. The tables were pretty close together so not much room for a high chair. I'm hoping to give this place a second chance in the future but cannot recommend going anytime soon. read more

It was our first time here. The food was great. The atmosphere was really fun. The menu had a variety of great items. The service was exceptional with our server Lucas! I had dietary restrictions and he provided me with all the important info I needed to dine. But what made Lucas so fabulous was his positive, optimistic personality. Same for our 3rd visit brought along more friends. We've been back a few more times on our own. The prices are great! We got a complete meal for 2 including appetizers, dessert and adult beverages for under 100.00!! We even had leftovers. The staff is very kind and attentive. It's clean and fast. We went to Chicago Fire for our second time on Father's Day. My husband loves a good pie and Chicago Fire makes a good deep dish pizza. We arrived around 7pm and the restaurant had plenty of open seats. We were seated quickly and ordered within a few minutes as we already knew what we wanted. We order two deep dish pizzas, chicken Parmesan, and a kids chicken tender plate. After an hour we received the chicken Parmesan and the pizzas came out shortly after. When the pizzas were delivered I asked for utensils since we had none and my son couldn't eat his pasta. 5 minutes later I asked again. I also asked about the kids plate since we hadn't received that either. I ended up having to ask for the manager and my 7 year old didn't receive his chicken tenders for another 15 minutes. They did comp his plate. The food is delicious but the service was lacking. She did not check in often or ensure we had proper supplies. We may order for pickup or delivery but we will not be back to dine in. read more

This was a FANTASTIC experience- from the food to the waitstaff, we had an incredible time! The Greek Fries and Garlic Buffalo Wings were AMAZING and we followed those with Stockyard Deep Dish Pizza and Beignets for dessert. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Prices are more than reasonable considering the quality of food and the ambiance was two thumbs up. Our waiter, Jared, was TOP NOTCH and very attentive and friendly while our visits with Manager Laura were welcoming and genuine. I have to say the Ustick & Eagle dining corridor has really got it going on and gives the Village a run for the money. Village has In-and-out and Ustick has Five Guys and Culver's, Dave's Hot Chicken versus Burning Mouth, Pueblo Lindo versus Matador, Jersey Mike's versus anyone! Hands down the Ustick Corridor wins every time! That is the case with Chicago Fire, This place brings the fire. Great service and awesome environment. Cool atmosphere with big TV's on the walls over the shoulder of your wife so she thinks you're paying attention when you're really watching sports. Again, something better than the Yard House as the TV's are larger and more plentiful. Clean and cold beer glasses that are better than the Yard House! That is really saying something. The Chicago thin crust is better than Grimaldis in a Chicago versus New York kind of way. The toppings were very plentiful. I feel like I'm cheating on Grimaldis because I love that place. My only regret is that I haven't eaten here earlier! I'm already planning to gather the entire family as they accommodate large parties. They also have a great Happy Hour. This place has it all. Came in for dinner - Got the spinach salad which was excellent with a nice dressing (kind of a sweet balsamic?). Also ordered a deep dish pepperoni pizza, Greek fries and the buffalo wings (all from the happy hour menu which we appreciated). The pizza was excellent, the fries were a little greasy but had a good flavor. The wings were good but I would probably just stick to the pizza next time. As a Chicago girl I had high hopes for a little taste of home. We went on a week day for dinner and by crazy happenstance their oven had just broken down! We were sad but the staff were so nice and the manager took care of us. We had sandwiches and truffle fries and they were just okay. My heart was just set on sinking my teeth into that good ole deep dish! We went back the other day to quench that buttery flaky craving. We called ahead (highly recommend since it's a bit of a wait for a fresh deep dish) and ordered the Abe Froman. While we waited for that meaty delight to cook we went for the meatball appetizer. LET ME TELL YOU - those babies melt in your mouth! The sauce. The ricotta cheese. The velvety vibrance that my tastebuds experienced still makes my mouth water! GET THE MEATBALLS. We were warned ahead of time that they were understaffed upon entry to the restaurant. We were also warned that ordering the deep dish would take around 45 minutes to be ready, so they suggested if we were hungry we may want to order appetizers ahead of time. We ordered a small order of Greek Fries, Baked Artichoke, and the main course was a medium deep dish Second City BBQ pizza. 10 minutes later we received the appetizers, and after about 45 minutes, the server apologized and updated us that the pizza would arrive soon and if we wanted to have another appetizer on the house, we could, due to the longer wait for the pizza. We declined but appreciated the gesture. About 10 minutes later we received the pizza, hot and ready to be devoured. The wait was a bit long, but we were properly warned, but we enjoyed watching one of the TV's which provided entertainment while we waited, which helped pass the time. All food was hot, and had a lot of flavor. The fries were crispy and had a healthy dusting of garlic, Parmesan, and oregano, with a dash of olive oil and we squeezed a lemon wedge over it, which added an additional complexity to the taste. The artichoke was baked well and the Parmesan and lemon Cesar sauce was a nice touch. Their house BBQ sauce was a bit tangy and complimented the rest of the ingredients on the pizza while not overwhelming each bite. The chicken and bacon was spread out among the slices nice and evenly. All done, it was about a two hour experience, which left us with full bellies and happy smiles. The server was very professional and kind to our needs while we waited. They were empathetic to the wait time but was never rude or acting like they were overwhelmed.
