We came during a downtime, possibly even the first guests of the day. We ordered a salad and a deep dish pizza and we waited a while as the deep dish usually takes a while to cook. I used to enjoy Chicago Fire in Elk Grove before it closed down, so now I make my way to the Midtown location. It has become my go to when I am craving their food, especially the wings, which I really enjoy. On my recent visit, we ordered the family meal, which is a great deal. It comes with an appetizer, a large pizza, and a dessert. Everything came out fresh and full of flavor. The food definitely did not disappoint. What really made this visit stand out was our server, Ken. He was on point the entire time. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and attentive without being overbearing. Wow for lunch specials! We go to Chicago Fire all the time, but we saved big today with their lunch specials! Personal Abe Froman, salad, and a drink for $13!! The server suggested a drink that was actually a great combo to the original mojito. Used Basel and vodka. I prefer this combo. I appreciate the suggestion. The wings were tasty. Always have to come for the deep dish stuffed pizza! We came on new years day so it wasn't packed. A good amount of people, still we were immediately seated and the kings game was on. Those take longer to bake so we were sure to get the order in quickly. However with it being slower that day, the wait for it was like half. When it came, it wasn't too hot. There was quite a bit of sauce on them, so I would definitely ask for it in the side next time. They are already coated in a buffalo seasoning that is quite good. Comes with ranch and some celery sticks. I love homemade/housemade ranch but this was neither.) - Boneless Wings: Less sauce on these but still very good flavor. Same accoutrements. - Cheese Artichoke: I cannot imagine how much this was, but I would definitely not pay more than $8 for this. It is so simple to make and likely not that costly to produce. The artichokes have a bit of a briny flavor. The cheese hardly contributed to the dish and came off in two large clumps. Still enjoyable, just not great value. - Greek Fries: Decent. A smaller fry which I like and good flavor but nothing particularly special. My group of 3 ordered the package deal that came with boneless wings, a deep dish pizza and a dessert for $50, which was a great deal and plenty of food for the 3 of us. We even had some leftover. My only complaint is it seems they lost our pizza order? The drinks came out pretty quickly as did the wings and then we waited and waited and waited. During that time they tried to bring out our dessert several times to which I let the different food runners know that yes the dessert was ours but we didn't receive our pizza yet. After asking a few people to check our pizza finally came out but as the rest of the group was leaving for after dinner karaoke. We weren't in a rush so this was ok just a bit of an annoyance as we weren't very hungry. A couple friends stayed behind to keep us company. The pizza was really good once it came out. Very similar to one you'd get in actual Chicago. The dessert was little dough balls that came with dipping sauces and were really tasty, enough to share with our friends who stayed behind. All in all for a party this size with no reservation the staff did a great job. We'll definitely rely be back. We ordered 2 orders of chicken strips and 1 thin crust pepperoni pizza for our children. My husband and I got salads. When they brought out the pizza it had 2 pepperonis. My husband told the manager and he said that was the normal amount, but he could remake it for us. The second pizza they brought out had one pepperoni. I honestly thought we were being pranked. This is the best place to get lunch in the midtown area. The walk through downtown during the Fall season was beautiful. Bundle up because in the fall it was very cold inside. The prices were very reasonable for a luncheon with a group of coworkers. They have tons of seating, so it's great for holiday parties or events. Street Parking wasn't a challenge at all although you do need to parallel park on the street. The service was good. I was just kinda turned off a bit when I asked for my salad and they said that I didn't order one, but we clearly did on the sheet we gave the waitress. I've been to Chicago Fire many times, and I'm a fan. It's housed in an old brick building that has a lot of character and a great neon sign out in front. There's plenty of seating and a large old-style bar along the left side of the dining room. Of course the main attraction is the delicious pizza. They have a variety of thin crust, deep dish, and stuffed pizzas made with fresh ingredients and excellent cursts. My favorites are the Abe Foreman with its extra mozzarella and Italian sausage and the Da Cub Club that's loaded with chicken, bacon, mozzarealla, onions, and white sauce. Yum! I'm a big eater but a couple slices of their deep dish pizza usually fills me up. One slice of their imense stuffed pizza usually does it for me. Of course it's hard to stop at one or two slices of their delicious pies. Pizza isn't the only thing on the menu though. There's a variety of appetizers, wings, salads, pastas, and desserts. I've tried the wings before and they were hot and delicious. The bar has a good selection of beer, wine, mixed drinks, and comfortabel bar stools. The staff is profession and gave me good service each time I visited. Pizzas cost $35.00 for a 16 inch regular crust and about $40.00 for a 16 inch deep dish. There's really only one drawback to this restaurant. The food is so good, it's easy to blow through your diet. read more
