The Hazelnut Oat Mocha was a great pairing--rich and well-balanced. It was also good to see the variety at the table; the Eggs Your Way, Lemon Pancakes, and Overnight Oats all looked like solid, well-prepared options. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, making for a seamless experience. If you're looking for a reliable breakfast spot in Chicago that feels a bit more intentional than the usual hotel or convention options, this is a winner.

No one fits and you end up standing next to a revolving door that tries to hit you every time someone comes in. They also have a tiny waiting area in a walled off space on the side but they decided to put a table there too. Genius (not really). Be ready to wait because for some reason everyone decided this was a hot spot. Forget getting there after 9am if you want to wait less than 45-60 minutes. The tables are jammed together, the service is SLOW and the food is expensive and really not all that special. Save time and money and go somewhere else.

I noticed they would leave partial orders on counter until the rest is out. I would recommend they provide food and drinks as they come out instead of food cooling and iced drinks diluting. I've been mourning the loss of Seattles reserve roastery, and was ecstatic to see that the merch still say Seattle on it (for now). I got some exclusive cask espresso cups to commemorate all of the global locations as well as tried many of their specialty drinks and snacks. We enjoyed the seasonal paradise duo, the seasonal matcha + ube + espresso martinis, the matcha butterfly pea tea roll cake, the pistachio cookie, the coconut mousse. We found seating, had easily accessible water, elevators, escalators, and wifi. The worst part were the lines; I waited over 40 minutes for my espresso martini sampler, most of which was spent in line to order, since no kiosks or online ordering was available.

I'm not sure if it's typically like that every weekday or just because of neocon. Everyone was super friendly and they brought my food out to me when I dined in. I like that the lattes you get when you dine in have a little muffin as well. I tried their cinnamon roll, iced tiramisu latte, and lox bagel. I do wish the tiramisu latte was a bit stronger but it was still pretty good. The lox bagel was delicious and the bagel was super soft and warm when I got it. The cinnamon roll was huge and absolutely delicious.

The first time, we went for coffee and cake, I was hoping for rainbow cake, but when I asked about it, the server looked at me as if I were nuts, she'd certainly never heard of such a thing. I had a slice of their strawberry-rubarb loaf which was decidedly mid. The second time we went for breakfast. Nothing was great - my pecan sticky bun was borderline stale, the other breakfast items were OK (burrito and sandwich) but ordinary, they messed up the coffee order (and initially refused to believe it), and most weirdly tried to gate keep which table we sat at, for no other reason than they seemed to want to. All in all we would not go back again. There are so many better places.

They were able to make this flavor hot for me and just removed the cold foam. I really enjoyed the flavor and all drinks came with milk art. There is a small market doenstairs with easy to grab pre prepared meals and wines as well as other snacks and beverages as well as trinkets and souvenirs. Since everything in the store is pretty expensive, I don't really purchase much. I have other family members gift a meal or two for me which was eggplant parmesean and I have to say that it was pretty tasty. The portion size i think is generous as well though it did make me really sleepy and nearly almost put me in a coma Nonetheless, it was pretty delicious. They have a wide variety of other goods to choose from as well downstairs. When you take the escalator or elevator to the upper floors, there are dry goods such as breads, tomato sauces, cheeses, bread, and much much more. The wine wall was pretty spectacular as well amd they divided the wines by region. The other part of the store has a stand alone restaurant towards the back which was packed. They also had these stations woth an open concept kitchen so you can see the chefs cooking as well as the bartenders preparing drinks. That was fun to witness as I walked by. It was very hustle bustle and they had one lounge style sit down eatery with waiters and another casual restaurant in the back with waiters. I highly recommend it if you have not gone. It was early Sunday afternoon, and we were too large a group to arrive without calling ahead. You walk up a lovely old half-flight of stairs under an ornate ceiling. After a short wait, half of our party went elsewhere, and the remaining four of us were quickly seated. The front area is mainly a café, with maybe 10 seats at tables for two. Farther back is a hallway and a larger room with seating in booths and at high-tops for maybe 40, and maybe 6 more at a small bar. The staff is quick and friendly. The food is delicious and fresh and hot! And the music is loud and festive :-) We had the thin-cut savory palomillo steak, a generous serving, pounded to tenderness, served with classic wet black-beans and white rice, sweet soft platanos maduros plantain pieces, and some greens and tomato. We had a lovely colorful medium-sized Mojo Shrimp in tart garlic citrus mojo sauce, with sateed red onion crescents, tomato chunks, and parsley. And we had the huge slow-cooked tender shredded-beef Ropa Vieja pressed sandwich, sauced lightly with slightly-tangy creole sauce, served with platanos maduros and black beans.
