Chicago Pizza Kitchen. Story of the establishments founding fathers.
    John S.

Sunday. March 16, 2025. Dinner. My wife and I ate here with my mother for dinner. Dining room was empty when we first arrived but filled up quickly. We could see they do a robust drive through and pick up business. The location we visited is on Eubank, south of Montgomery. They also have a location off of Gibson. This is a veteran owned business, which I like. they have a permanently reserved table for the POW-MIA soldiers. They have a poster (see attached photo) that says that their life savings was stolen by a pizza franchise and then they started Chicago Pizza Kitchen. We ordered a large, Chicago style, Classic specialty pizza. This came with a pan, deep dish crust, mushrooms, marinara, cheese, fennel sausage, green bell peppers and onions. The reason it's called a Chicago pizza is because the vegetables and meat are on the bottom, then the cheese, and finally the marinara sauce. This pizza came to $22. Both the man and the lady at the counter were a bit gruff, but the pizza came out in about fifteen minutes. I must say, the fennel sausage tasted extraordinary, the crust was thick and crispy and the marinara didn't taste sweet. I hate sweet marinara. Overall, a very good pie and the layers with the cheese in the middle and marinara on top really worked out well. No soggy crust. Service could have been nicer, but I'm not complaining cause the pizza was damn good. They have lots of customers too. They are open til 8:30 pm, 7 days a week. The sign on the front door says the dining room closes at 7:30 pm, but I will tell you a secret. It was still open when we left at 7:30 pm.

Not lgbtq+ friendly!! Pizza wasn't cooked all the way our deep dish was doughy and the cheese wasn't melted! Cheese pizza was over seasoned like a bunch of salt was put on top. Our 6 old felt sick after a few bits. You have lost our business and respect, it's a shame because I love to support our veterans and woman owned businesses, that should be a win win but I will not support a business that hates and disrespects me.

Charged a 3% service fee on a cash ticket.ordered 16" pizza got 14". Purchased Monday at 4pm went to business Friday at open to complain and was told by the owner I waited to long. I was told that was a 16" in a 14" box. Dough was old and undercooked. Very bad customer service. Phone service is all AI, no human would answer.

Nasty stuff went in the trash

Owner was mad cuz I had an allergic reaction and rated 1 star on Google so first he started calling me some names, called me a different person, and even reported my review so Google would remove it. Spiteful person. Will never order delivery there again. Worst human. Reported to health department for allergic reaction

I have ordered and enjoyed pizzas from this business many times before. Today I went in with my son to eat in their dining room the first time. We ordered a pizza and breadsticks. The woman who took our order was there by herself. A person came in just after us and ordered food as well. The person behind us must've been a regular as he and the employee proceeded to chat and talk for 20 minutes as he was ordering. In the mean time our order was just sitting there as she was the only one there. I would not recommend eating in the dining room as the person after us got their food before we did. We were there for 45 minutes before getting our pizza because she was focused on her regular customer. Stick to drive through or delivery. The food is awesome but the service is not so much. Wasted our time today chatting with her friend. We must've not had anything better to do.

Pizza and the mozzarella sticks were cheesy and delicious. Was a little nervous because it looked like nobody was there. Little disappointed that are appetizer came at the same time as the pizza. But that didn't stop me we will definitely be back.

This place is so good! My go-to is the Italian beef sandwich but everything they make is wonderful and fresh. Nice people, too.

Sweet favorites are any of the toasts. My most recent one was their seasonal Peach Raspberry Toast. Of their savory options, the Elote Croissant Cup is fun and worth trying. Also loved the red chile sourdough loaf. The elote cup thing didn't hold together well but overall everything was amazing and it was a great start to our New Mexico trip. If we had more days in ABQ, I would've totally come back. Also, had their own parking lot and easy to park. We ended up eating in the car with the AC on.

To start, as we came in, we were offered a biscochito to try while we decided on what to order. Honestly, the decision was hard... so many delicious looking things on the menu but finally decided on a salami and provolone sandwich, with green chile bread. Wow! Amazing sandwich, fresh, delicious! While we were enjoying our food, Pratt Morales, the owner and master baker, came out and talked to us for a while. This was a real treat, great positive attitude and love for what he does. He even introduced us to one of his specialties the Turkey shaped bread he makes for Thanksgiving. So popular now he gets hundreds of orders per year. We left with some biscochitos and other cookies to go, and a desire to try more things when we are back in Albuquerque.
