    Veggie burrito and fish burrito

When I went here, I had no idea that it was a gluten-free restaurant, and the food is so delicious that it doesn't matter! I ordered the veggie burrito and it was outstanding. I was very impressed by the mixture of flavors and their gluten-free tortilla is actually very good with a burrito. It is very filling and it comes with a delicious salsa and sour cream. The ambience is nice as they have a large outdoor patio, and the service is very prompt. There's also a scan to order and pay option which I appreciate and it makes it easy for a big group. And they have their own parking lot in the back!

We came to Rosa on Memorial Day for a late lunch because of a lot of places were closed and I am so glad we came here but unfortunately one guy was waiting on the whole restaurant so it did end up being quite a long lunch.. but nevertheless we felt bad for him and honestly it was fine and ended up being totally worth it! Our waiter was super generous and kept the chips coming and the queso was great! The guac was a little too chunky for my liking but I still enjoyed it. We also got a marg pitcher to share and they did not skimp on the tequila For my main, I opted for the carne asada quesadilla and it was great! A great portion size and I thought it was a good price as well. The meat was well seasoned and tender and I really enjoyed it. Overall I really liked this place and enjoyed sitting on the patio. Would love to come back!

Been wanting to try this place even with the mixed reviews. We chose to sit inside since it was so hot outside. First I have to say I love that you get 3 salsas to start with. I really enjoyed two out of three of them. The chips were thicker than most places but really good. I ordered the Taco and Enchilada combo. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it. The Carne Asada taco was very tender and good but the chicken enchilada sauce reminded me of Spaghettio's sauce. The beans were ok and the rice was mushy. I'll come back for just drinks and salsa though.

    Chicken fajitas

Nice ambiance and staff was very nice. We ordered a birria taco and chicken fajita priced at $7 and $25. The taco was alright. The fajita was 6 tiny strips of the thinnest chicken and a ton of veggies. Food to price ratio almost felt scam levels. And its taste was just ok. Overall not really worth it.

    Delightful stuffed Poblanos!

We recently had the fine folks at Rosa cater a birthday party for 50 guests and to say that did a PHENOMENAL job, would be an understatement. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests raved about it, even a couple of days *after* the party! The Chef also made a special request item for us (stuffed Poblano peppers), something that's not on their regular menu and they were outstanding. The Chef, his wife and the staff were all as gracious as they could be. Highly, highly recommended - either for dine-in or for catering.

Rosa was a cute and nice neighborhood taco spot in Virginia Highlands. I particularly liked the complimentary salsa trio and chips. All 3 salsas were yummy and it was a nice touch to start the meal. The service was noticeably friendly and attentive! Other bonus is that the restaurant has ample free parking, which can be hard to find in this area of town.

We went to celebrate with family and were excited to try out Rosa. The restaurant was fairly busy and the patio was full. We ate inside, which was well decorated but a bit loud due to hard surfaces. They could probably use some rugs or wall hangings to reduce sound reflection. Service was a little bit slow due to the push but our waiter was communicative and apologized for delays in gettin our drinks and food. Everyone in our party liked their food and we especially enjoyed the totopos. Really good addition to the neighborhood. Would absolutely recommend and go back.

Great patio. They start you off with a generous bowl of fresh chips and three different tasty salsas. I had a grilled chicken burrito that came with a generous portion of beans and rice. It was delicious. Our server was attentive yet never rushed. She was great.

Really pleased with Rosa!! Restaurant was kept clean. Chips salted perfectly throughout- fresh and not greasy. 3 types of salsa and had a hard time picking a favorite. Queso was light and tasty. Phone didn't eat first for my chicken quesadilla but it was great! Rice has a nice smoky flavor. Next time we go I'll get the fajitas because they kept smelling so good!!! Staff is quick and helpful. Very glad to have a typical Mexican restaurant around!!! We will be back!

Nice margaritas , good queso and our entrees were excellent. I had the chicken emoladas, very tasty. Service was top notch!

How did we not know about this stellar place HIDDEN behind the Virginia Highland Post Office with no street-front sign??!! We will be back as much as possible, we all LOVED our variety of dishes in a relaxed ambiance with stellar service. We had the choice of three different unique and amazing salsas and we could not decide which one we liked the best! Everything had a freshness and flavor that went above and beyond.

Great food and service! Welcome addition to the neighborhood. After hearing some mixed reviews, we are glad we tried it ourselves. Went a couple times. Enjoyed the enchiladas and burritos. The margaritas are absolutely perfect! Enjoyed trying all the salsa varieties too. Agree the one improvement could be some thinner/different tortilla chips, otherwise we've had really good experience each time.

We tried the La Piñata and the Smokey Old Fashioned, which arrived in a dramatic smoke dome--such a fun presentation. For our first bites, we ordered the Tostadas: handmade corn tostadas served with both red and green avocado sauces. They were fresh, vibrant, and a perfect start to the meal. Our main courses were equally impressive. The Short Rib with Mole Amarillo came with pickled habanero onions, rice, and plantains--rich, tender, and beautifully balanced. We also enjoyed the Arrachera, an outside skirt steak served with sautéed onions, chimichurri, rustic potatoes, and a bouquet salad. Every dish was plated beautifully and tasted exceptional. Our server, Dalia, made the experience even better. She was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive--always appearing at just the right moment, whether to refill our water or guide us through the menu. Overall, it was another amazing visit. We go there often and have never been disappointed.

TLDR: one of my favorite ATL restaurants, lamb tuetano bone marrow tacos are a stand out. Remember…read moreto validate parking immediately. This is my second time here and both times have been so good. We came as a party of 3 and left so happy and full. I love Mexican food holy moly We got the queso and octopus shrimp ceviche as starters. The queso was 3 cheeses: American, cotija, and Oaxacan. They heated it up under a salamander so it was nice and crispy on top, while being gooey all throughout. Also came with a couple of nice salsas. The ceviche was not my favorite because I don't prefer raw(ish) octopus, but the squid ink sauce was very flavorful. For our mains the 3 of us shared the red snapper, tuetano with lamb, and the mixteco poblano pepper. Red snapper had a nice charred smoky flavor from being grilled. Was more meaty than flaky in texture. It was our second time getting the mixteco poblano pepper and it hits. Highly recommend eating with some of the salsa as well if you get queso. The duck carnitas in it wasn't particularly duck-y today, but still very good. Best dish is definitely the tuetano. The bone marrow is so incredibly flavorful with the blue corn tortillas. Add some of the pickled onions and it's hard to go wrong with that flavor combo of salt, fat, and acid. if you're going to order one thing, I'd order this and share with a friend and tbh it's enough to be filling. For dessert we got the volcan de chocolate (basically lava cake). The lava cake and coconut ice cream combo is fantastic. You get bits of coconut flakes as you eat! Fair warning it isn't the brownie texture you may be used to, it's a bit more cakey. Amazing service the whole night! Almost got our cars booted because we forgot to validate until 1.5 hours in but luckily we were fine. The staff let us know they have been booting cars though so be wary!
