I wish I could give a NO star. I live 2 minutes from this location and 5 minutes from my work. Chick-fil-a in any other location is great except the one on James Island. My food is never correct and the employees are not your normal Chick-fil-a employees. I ordered a chicken biscuit and a sprite. I get to the window and they tell me they are out of biscuits but can put the "small chicken" on a sandwich bun. My response was, "No, I ordered a chicken biscuit and if you can't give me that, I will take a sandwich". The lady standing outside the window demanded that I get a refund and move out of the line. I said, "No, I have waited 20 minutes to get food, I will take the sandwich". The bag was pushed at me and I said, "I have a sprite as well". She was very rude with her demeanor as if she was losing money herself. I get to work, open the bag and it's a small piece of chicken on a bun with no pickle and my sprite was a water. I can say genuinely and irreprehensibly that this is the worst experience I've ever had at a Chick-fil-A.

Service seems slower with every visit. I'm not sure why they can't get it right like the other chick fil a in Mt. Pleasant. I ordered an egg white grill at breakfast, ordered it on my mobile app 10 minutes before I arrived, and still waited 10-15 minutes for one item. I've had sit down restaurants prepare my food faster. The quality of the food was good, and that's why I give it the two stars that I did. Other Chick Fil As have acknowledged that having people work outside makes the drive thru go faster, and thus provides an overall better service to customers. This chick fil a has people working outside in the wrong places. The ones that do it right have an employee at the window walking food out to cars in line. This one never does. If it did, maybe it wouldn't take more than 20 minutes to prepare a one item order inside. read more

Their apple pay is advertised on the door and did not work with two iPhone. Staff was not friendly and service very slow. Took us nearly 15 minutes to get our small order. I love Chik-fil-A but this was the worst one I've ever been to. Very unhappy when I left. read more

I decided to head on over last night as I had been craving a grilled chicken club on Sunday, and had to impatiently wait for them to be back open on Monday. Needless to say the craving had only increased by Monday night when I stopped by for dinner. When I went to order the grilled chicken club in the drive-thru I was surprisingly disappointed when I was informed that they were out of grilled chicken completely. While I'm used to the courteous hospitality from this location, I was not even offered an apology for the inconvenience. I was starving at this point and decided to order a regular fried chicken sandwich and some fries. Unfortunately the disappointment continued as when I went to eat my meal, the sandwich chicken tasted stale and the fries were a bit soggy. I was so frustrated at that point that I went to Harris Teeter to pick up something else. I might be making the extra drive to the one in West Ashley moving forward. read more

Since working in SC, I have been 2 this location twice both times using the drive thru. The first time my order was ok but didn't seem like the fries were fresh and took about 16 minutes to get through it. Today I specifically ordered a #1 with a large drink (cran-lime lemonade). I got to the window I was handed a small drink bc the cran-lime lemonade only comes in one size. I told the young lady I asked for a large drink, she took my money handed me my food and receipt and that was it. She didn't apologize or ask if I wanted a different drink. I paid an extra .60 for large drink, I think I should have gotten a large drink! Then to top it all off once I tasted the fries they were horrible. They tasted freezer burned, there was no salt and I ended up only eating my sandwich. read more

Maybe I just got spoiled from the exceptional service of the Savannah Hwy location. I recently moved to JI and have frequented the Folly Rd Chick-fil-A several times in the last month, and have been disappointed each time. The food is still good quality which is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. Everything else is an absolute cluster, no matter what time of day. The customer service is supremely sub-par from the Chick-fil-A standard. The wait time is absurd. When they're busy, the staff seems flustered. When they're slow, the staff seems lazy. I would rather drive the extra 15 minutes to the Savannah Hwy location than deal with incompetence of this place. read more

Fastest drive through on JI and how do they keep finding so many friendly people?

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We were waiting in line for breakfast with a mobile order that was placed well before breakfast ended. However we waited in line for so long breakfast ended, we explained the situation and they told us they were so behind and couldn't do anything for us. I have a family member that works at chick fil a and their policy is to give you a free voucher for an item if they messed up. Thanks for wasting my time and leaving me hungry. read more

If I could give one star I would. We asked for a chicken sandwich with a wheat bun and we were given chicken in the bag and the wheat bun still in the plastic wrap where they order their bread from. We also ordered nuggets and they were in the bag as if they were scooped into it. Zero sauce. Horrible. Chick-Fil-A is always great but this location is HORRIBLE! We will never go there again. Waited 35 minutes in drive thru the two people in front of me got a refund while I sat at the window with zero Communication as they served the two people in front of me and the person behind me before I even got acknowledged. WHAT A ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!! Ordered a #7 w fries and a coke. Checked to make sure I received all the items prior to driving home. Drove about 15 minutes to get home and the damn sandwich didn't have any chicken. All you serve is chicken, how can you screw that up?! It's almost impossible for me to describe the love I feel when walk in those glass doors and the intriguing smell of salty waffle fries and frying chicken fills my beckoning nostrils. Chick fil a has never let me down with its delicious food, condiments and sweet tea that leave you full and ready for the day. For breakfast, lunch or dinner this place will satisfy you to your core. The girl that took my order looked miserable didn't smile and wasn't friendly at all then I pulled around and the young man that took my payment was smiling and friendly but then I pull up to get my food there's a girl standing outside she also looks miserable no smile not friendly just looks at me and says "coke?" I say yes and she hands me my drink then her and another guy who looks like a manager start talking about some incident that happened with another employee and they continue talking while my bag of food is sitting there and I'm thinking really can I get my food I was gonna say something then the girl who's still talking barely looks back at me and grabs my food reaches her arm behind her and hands me my food. This place is always slammed on Saturday, but the staff is always AWESOME! They keep smiling and keep going, even though some people are rude. My philosophy, if you come into a busy establishment, with the cars wrapped 2x around the building, know that you are going to have to wait! Placed a catering order the day before and they call an hour before pick up to say the order is canceled.

By far the worst chick fil a I have ever been to. It's right near our house so we try and try and try to go to this location and support James island businesses. They have gotten our order wrong not quite 100% of the time, but almost. Then today I ordered a grilled nugget meal with an unsweetened tea which was $9.44. I got to the window and the girl handed me a bag with no fries. I told her I ordered a meal. She told me I didn't and that $9.44 was the price for nuggets and tea which is correct; however the combo meal- that I ordered- is $8.85!!!! So paid the same amount and left without the French fries that I ordered. I regret going to this location every single time read more

Let me start off by saying I have been going to this location for years, ever since they have first opened their location on Folly road. The operator is a very nice man, however these past couple months have been pretty rough for them. I have had two occasions in the past where I have got home or back to work and noticed one or more or my of my items was missing from my order. Both times I went back and was given my missing items with a smile and a "I apologize" or a sorry. Fair enough. Tonight however was a big order I placed through the mobile app and got home and noticed one of my Sandwiches was missing. Of course the last thing you want to do after a long day of work is have to drive 12 minutes back up the road to get something that was missing and you paid for. I arrived there and told one of the girls taking orders outside what had happen ( I am not a big fan of this car side order taking, as there is no chance to look at the menu, which is why we have to use the app now) and she told me to pull up the the window and tell them what had happened. I did, and arrived to same lady that was throwing orders out the window before. I told her what was wrong and she snatched the receipt from me and did the typical "hes trying to bum a free sandwich off of me face and rude head shake" and pushed the receipt back at me and told me to pull up. Not to mention there's about 6 people standing im the drive through window staring at each other. A minute or so later she came out with the most unappealing face and gave me the bag. I replied with a nice thank you and she just turned around and walked off. This is not the Chic Fil A I know and love. Out of all of the other low country locations I only have a problem at this one. I never hear a "My Pleasure" or a "You're welcome" or se a smiling face anymore. I understand from a youngster that is just starting out but a lady of middle age to act like this is unacceptable. I will have to really reconsider this location and recommendations to friends and family. It is a darn shame as I have been going here since they have opened their doors. read more

This is a great drive thru, however today was a bad experience for me. I noticed that they had a new drink. The frosted lemonade. Looked refreshing. I am expecting a lemonade slushy, however, this was false. We took a sip of the arsenic and it turned out to be a vanilla shake covered in lemonade. It was awful. If any of you enjoy this concoction, go ahead and knock yourself out. If not, beware. Stick with the coffee frosty. There is no citric acid on that one. read more

As a loyal Chick-fil-a customer, I have to say that this location is managed very poorly. This service is absolutely slow even during off peak hours. I have only had like 1 of 5 visits at this location that was up to par. Most of the times my main compliant is the service speed. However, the last 2 visits the problem was grilled nuggets or lack thereof. I ordered from the drive through on Sat Sept 10th around 8:30 pm. 12 grilled nugget meal, I payed and the cashier told me it would be about 2-3 minutes and asked if I could pull forward. Why sure I can. After sitting for 10 minutes in the car, I went to check on my order and the response I got from staff was "we are unable to provide you with grilled nuggets this evening". No explanation was given and no attempt to made to please the customer, I did get 12 fried nuggets which I overpaid for because the grilled is about $1.50 more than fried version, all while waiting approximately 15 minutes. Bottom line- this CF is extremely slow, product isn't managed well, and staff is unapologetic for their mistakes. read more

I may be addicted. I eat there for lunch all the time. I have one of their calendar cards. They are fast and the food is way better than other fast food places. They are always super friendly. They may have the very best iced coffee, just don't look at the calories. I also take my kids for play dates there. In the past 2 months i stopped in the drive thru around 7:30pm the first time in january and ordered my 8 yr old girl a chick fil a sandwich meal drove home and found out i had received a grilled sandwich meal which she would not touch and my receipt did'nt say grilled, a few weeks later i stopped in used their drive thru again this time i ordered a 12pc meal again i drove home my daughter counter her 12 pc and only had 9 in the box we were jipped again. I dont even bother calling to complain because i figure they know when they don't package a nuggert meal with the correct count. Someone does i know you would have to count each piece when packaging . So I will not be stopping at Chick fil a anymore now we go to Zaxbys. OH. MY. GOODNESS. My experience could not have been worse! I went in with expectations that were in accordance with my previous experiences. The issue however was NOT the food, the issue was the customer service. First off, I was stopping by for an early morning breakfast with some friends and we decided that Chick-fil-A was the option for us. Our first issue was when I went up to order; I placed my order and when I was asked what my name was, I told her and she asked me how to spell it. I told the cashier, Amelia P., that it was spelled "Q-U-I-N-N" and she said, "You'd be surprised how many different spellings there are!" and I responded with what I believed to be a pretty respectful "You'd think". Being that I've lived with the name for so long, I have had a chance to encounter most of the misspellings, which don't amount to too many. I then followed up with, "Unfortunately, my name has been spelled with a K many times before", which was meant to indicate that I had seen it misspelled before. Amelia P. then responded by saying, "What's unfortunate about that? Why is it unfortunate that it's been spelled with a 'K'?". I again, respectfully responded with "Because that is just not how my name is spelled, it's spelled with a 'Q'." Then, out of NOWHERE, Amelia P. responds with "OH! So if you're name isn't spelled with a 'K', no one's can be?" to which I said jokingly "Exactly!" to hopefully relieve the growing tension. Then, the part that really disturbed me the most was when she said "Well, THAT'S exactly the male logic!". Are you kidding me?! Who in their right mind would say that to a paying customer? This floored me because having worked in a restaurant for over a year, with many more years in the service industry, I have NEVER seen such disregard for professional etiquette and lack of respect for a whole group of people! Overall, I was very dissatisfied with Amelia P.'s work ethic and etiquette and along with my friends' experiences with her as well, I sincerely hope that there can be some sort of improvement or initiative taken to heighten the expectations of staff towards customers.
