I love the food but not at this location. Save your time and money and go to National city location. The service is a lot better there! I've been here a couple of times and the food is horrible. They just throw it in your bag and is sometimes over cooked or under cooked. To top it off always check your food! This is the second time I find a bug on the lettuce and they make excuses like "we check our lettuce everyday it's fresh". Well if it was then their wouldn't be any bugs! I've been here three times already. But, everytime I come here, I always get the Chicken Salad Sandwich. It's the best! And my coffee decaf. I always have to wait for 5 minutes for my coffee, because they have to brew it which i don't mind, I love freshly brewed coffee. The Original Chicken Sandwich..... I've been craving Chick-fil-A for about a year now. I would have Chick-fil-A at least once a month when I lived out here. Just another thing I took for granted in California. What's Good: -Original Chicken Sandwich: It's really simple and delicious. Best to have it there, but if you get it to go make sure that you unwrap it so it doesn't get soggy. -Chicken Strips: My favorite. I still think it's better than Canes. Less grease than Canes. Not as crunchy and had more of the KFC Original Recipe softness. -Waffle Fries: Their waffle fries are a bit bland. No seasoning, no salt. But I love it like this. My second favorite item on the menu. One thing about Chick-fil-A is their menu selection. There's actually more than just chicken nuggets, strips, and a chicken sandwich at a Chick-fil-A. They have breakfast and some salads too. Regarding this specific location, it gets pretty busy here. Drive thru line is usually 5+ cars deep. It's fast food, but not. Also, they are not open on Sundays. Overall 4 stars for still having some of the best chicken sandwiches out there. read more

I'm not a fast food person, but I've always liked Chick-fil-a since I was a kid. Was glad to see when we moved to the area that we'd be near one of the very few locations in SD. Great chicken, awesome waffle fries, tasty milkshakes, yummy lemonade, and now delicious breakfasts along with the BEST iced vanilla coffee! Of course, they have the best, most friendly staffs. Anywho, my main reason for actually reviewing this location is one particular visit. I stopped at the drive thru on the way home from work one night to grab dinner and didn't realize until I got to the window that I'd left my wallet at work. I was so embarrassed. So, what happens? They COMP my meal... WHAT? Who does that??? I damn near cried (I've been a hot, miserable mess since moving 3,000 miles to SD). It was the nicest thing for someone to do for me when I was having a crappy moment (and, quite frankly, crappy week). The next time I went to Chick-Fil-A I paid for the family behind me. I'm a big fan of their Shakes, nice thick & creamy just like I like my woman! This place is always clean & very fast & the customer service is friendly & helpful. You have to use their App to get the deal, so I downloaded it and and decided to take a shot at trying out their speciality-White meat chicken coated with a golden skin. I also requested an order of the Waffle cut fries and the use of Polynesian and BBQ Sauce. The people who work here are so kind and make you feel welcomed from the moment you enter. Service is fast and very courteous. This fast food establishment really gets how to serve others. I am so thrilled with how well-kept this place is; so much enthusiasm with a fast food restaurant, I know. In terms of savory factor, the food is decent quality and tastes good. When my wife and I left South Carolina, we knew we were going to miss two things- Sweet Tea and Chick Fil A. Imagine our surprise when we found one out in Chula Vista. We thought we were dreaming at first, but sure enough, there it was. Chick Fil A doesn't have a very big menu, they have 3 or 4 types of chicken sandwiches and a chicken wrap for the health concious. But when you make a chicken sandwich like they do, that's all you need. And their waffle fries are ridonkulous. I don't really eat fast food that often, but I do make it a point to go here. This is the second time I'm reviewing this Chick-fil-a, only because as a regular customer, I can give a more accurate review. You can't go wrong with the original chicken sandwich with a couple slices of pickles, with waffle fries on the side. I like the deluxe chicken sandwich too, except how the tomato slice leaves the rest of the sandiwch soggy. My favorite fry dip is still ketchup and mayo, but not mixed together. I've tried the Honey BBQ (my fave Chick-Fil-a sauce), Buttermilk, Polynesian, and Chick-fil-A house sauce. I like all the flavors except the house sauce. The Polynesian sauce is good if you're not in the mood for something creamy. The flavor reminds me so much of Royal Mandarin's sweet and sour sauce. I love the chicken nuggets here too, with the sauces. Just think of the chicken sandwich, minus the buns and fries, and cut up the chicken in bite size pieces. The chicken biscuit sandwich smells and tastes so wonderful. McDonald's doesn't compare. I still like how the employees respond customers' "thank you's" with "my pleasure," but they don't overdo it. I like Chick-fil-A, but not cause of their food. One thing being is that it's far from where I live. Very south. The main thing is that it's very pricy, especially for a fast food chain. I ordered a Spicy Chicken Sandwich Deluxe which is pretty much a regular chicken sandwich except they add pepper jack cheese, which it needs in my opinion. The combo comes with the chicken sandwich, a side order of waffle fries and I subbed a strawberry milkshake in there. Totaled to almost $9. Yup, that's Chick-fil-A for you. What I do like is that it's a Christian business. So the music they play is Christian music. None of that hood-rat garbage that plays on the radio 24/7. The place is very clean and the workers are super friendly. They deliver your order to your table and are generous enough to grab any small additional condiments you may need. The last thing I like is the ketchup packs they have. You can either open it so it becomes a dipping tray, or rip the tip off so you can squeeze the ketchup out. Genius. I've only been to this location twice, mainly because of the price. But if it weren't so expensive I might stop by a bit more. read more

Just want to give a shout-out to Chick-fil-A for their organized, creative well designed and thought out drive through. Upon arriving to the drive through, the amount of cars I saw was daunting and I almost turned around. But because I promised my kiddos chick- fil-A for dinner and the thought of not cooking was a good enough of an excuse to take a break this week I decided to stay. I was in and out in 10 minutes and the experience was one of a kind. They really though-out the efficiency through & the staff were great. One of the best Chick-fil-A locations I have ever been too. A little goes a long way. My family and I stopped in last Tuesday. The cashier that took our order was so caring and patient. She even asked us how our day was going and if we had anything planned for the day. I have been to the Rancho Cucamonga and Redlands location and never have I ever received this type of treatment. Even better, our order took a little longer than usual and one of the managers came out and gave us each a free meal voucher. I wish I lived closer to this location! Again our neighborhood Chick-fil-a. Normally great service. They now have 2 drive through lines and can get more done. Super flexible during breakfast and that is appreciated. This Saturday they ran out of hot coffee and I was given my choice of drink. Hot coffee was kinda what I needed, but an orange juice it the spot. They also charged me for an extra Sprite. With the long wait and the people behind me and the fact that I had already paid, I just took it. Interesting thing is normally they repeat my order at the ordering point and at the point of sale. On that day they didn't. Manager felt bad and gave me a card for a free sandwich in the future. We will return, but I will ask a few more questions. The In-N-Out drive thru of chicken. If you do drive thru there's usually a long line but if you decide to dine it's pretty nice inside. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I've never had a bad experience here outside or in. My only pickle with Chick-fil-A is that there's no value menu. Cheapest sandwich is about $4 that's insane! But I believe it's all going to a good cause. Chick-fil-A offers employees good pay and benefits which is why it's always good service. The food is good too. I've never had a complaint about the chicken or shakes. If you're in the mood for quality tenders you can't go wrong here. read more
