I usually never write reviews on places but this is the 3rd time I have been to this chick fil a here and all 3 times the food was just gross! All 3 times I noticed my chicken breading was way darker than normal and almost burnt tasting and the chicken was soooo dry (contrary to the other locations I have been to) and the fries were soggy with the same burnt oil taste. Last time they got my order wrong and I didn't realize it until I got home. I called and the manager was very apologetic which I appreciate but couldn't really explain the continued bad taste of the oil. It must be either too hot, old or they are re frying the food! I love chick fil a but not this one. I would rather drive to Carmel mountain or San Marcos. I was excited to see one opening in Escondido but it has seriously let me down. I don't get it because the San Marcos location is great and they are owned by the same people! Such a bummer! read more

10/8/16- they ran out of root beer. Also the booth seats were so dirty that we had to clean them. See the napkin picture for details. Unfortunately I have to downgrade another star. Also I found out that if you don't buy something, you can't use the bathroom. Weird. I like the food. However this particular Chik fil a continues to miss the mark on 'attention to detail'. On our first visit, they gave us s cold sandwich (and wrong sandwich) in the drive through. We shared our concern and were given a coupon for less value than what we spent. On our most recent visit to the drive through, they forgot to give us straws for our shakes. Store (inside)- 5/5 nice and new Service (inside and drive through) - 3/5 spotty. I had a great experience at this Chick-fil-A thanks to Maya! From the moment I walked up to order, she was incredibly attentive and helpful. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood all the options without making me feel rushed. Food was also delicious as always. They ignored us in the drive thru for five minutes they gave me the wrong cheese nearly forgot the juice in my kids meal (I had to remind them several times) and I'm not going back because of all times it's got to always be the worst time and they closed by the time I got home to notice so I can't even call and go back for it to be fixed. I visited this place a few days ago. I had a coupon for a free chicken delux sandwich. I order a meal plus a salad and the extra sandwich. I forgot to give the cashier my coupon, when I told her about she was polite and still refunded me the difference with no complaint. I like the professionalism they display. Next up for me to try would be there sirloin steak burger, but I have to be really hungry because that looks like a lot of food. They often have various offers when you create an account, and you don't need to have the app which is great. I hate how some other restaurant locations will make you download the app to access any offers, forcing me to take up space on my phone. There happened to be an offer for a free kids meal with $10 purchase on this day that I went. If you haven't tried the Habit before, I would check it out at least once. Get your side half and half so you can try the temporary green beans and another option.

They seem to be heavier handed with the meats than other locations and they are the only national ff chain that has cooper sharp, which any Philly Cheesesteak fan knows well. I usually order my 5lb bricks online, but if I just need some of that tang I'll come here. Prices are inflating, as are all fast food, but like everyone else they have rewards. I just don't like how their rewards expire quickly. Often times being available less than a week. I feel less bloated and gross with their fries than from other curly fries. Their cheesesteak is the best of any fast food chain and even better than some restaurants. I'd say it's the 5th best cheesesteak in San DIego. I love how soft their buns are and their rolls have chew and are seeded. Their soda fountains always hit and are never out or low. I'm always getting it to go on my way to work or errands. Getting in and out of the shopping center can be a little challenging, but it's near Center City Parkway and the 15 and 78 freeways. I feel that Olive Garden needs to clear out some employees start with the heartless manager and hostess. Cause obviously the way he was on the phone his promoting this unwelcoming behavior.

I ordered a junior shack burger which was just 1 smash burger patty instead of their standard 2. Even if I didn't get a double patty, my burger was still significantly bigger than say a McDonald's cheeseburger. We also ordered a mushroom burger which was a double patty burger w sautéed mushrooms. Both burgers were nice, juicy and with the right amount of char on the edges of the patties. We also ordered a regular side of their flat cut fries. Super bomb! Crispy and not too greasy! Parking is easy and there's indoor eating. No restroom though, but that's okay. Will be back!

Brgr Shack has almost perfected the smashed burger grilling and I appreciate the unique style of giving you a selection of variations of a the Brgr to choose from. 1) Shack Brgr: very tasty and the grilled onions was a nice addition. The Maillard reaction still produced a very juice Brgr with a soft tasty bun. The juices soaked into the bottom bun making it a soggy mess. A little salty, but, good. 2) Mushroom & Swiss Brgr: wife ordered this, but, got full on the Beef Loaded Fries (more on that later). Yet, she brought it home and reheated in microwave and she loved it!!! The Brgr reheated well. She said it was still juicy and well seasoned. Must have been good because she ate the whole thing!!! 3) Beef Loaded Fries: well, my wife also loved this and ate half at the Shack. The fries are thick chips, topped with crumbled Brgr, grilled onions, cheese and pickles. This was a favorite for us. The meal was good and filling. Something happened with the order and the kitchen didn't get the order slip. Had to go up and asked and the cook profusely apologized for the mixup. He quickly put our order together in a little over 5 minutes and the counter person also apologized for the inconvenience. Brgr Shack comped an order of plain fries which turned out well because we used those chips to scoop the toppings of the Beef Loaded Fries. The fries underneath got soggy quick. And there was no forks to be found. Stars subtracted for lost order and no forks. Will try again of course. The dining room was clean with ample tables and chairs. They have a wall full of studio quality pictures of the menu items. There is lots of parking in an older (the surface of the parking lot were full of cracks and pot holes) strip mall. Definitely a return visit call!!! Returning on a Wednesday to take advantage of the Crazy Cow 50% Discount on 2nd Brgr. Yes!!!

Is there new ownership?…read more I haven't been to this location in several years. No reason other than circumstance. But today I was craving a Cali sub. I went in around 3 p.m. on a Saturday. There wasn't a customer to be found. The place was hot and uncomfortable. Granted, these things do happen so I can't blame the business entirely. I know times are hard. Heaven knows I'm on a budget like everyone else. But when I saw $13.99 for a regular sub (6 inches), I nearly turned around and left. But, again, the craving. So I sprung for a medium (9 inches) and forked over $18.99 plus tax. Even now, as I relax from having eaten, it's annoying to think there's a $20 bill sitting at the bottom of my stomach. I don't know...I didn't feel like I was getting any kind of experience. In the past, Bridgette (the owner, at least years ago) was always so jovial and friendly. While she made your sandwich she would ask about your day and how things were going. The gentleman who helped me was nice enough, but he wasn't entirely forthcoming. And he was wearing sandals which, having worked in the food industry for many years, is a huge no-no. My sandwich was good. It wasn't stellar. I enjoyed it. But it didn't hit the spot. The meat was sliced in four really thick slices; it wasn't "fluffed," the way they used to do. The toppings were fine enough. Again, it was good, but nothing to write home about. I'll give it another couple years before I go back.
