I've been coming to this location since it opened. I haven't had an employee make me laugh as much as today. Caleb was the person who took our order at the drive thru. Caleb was nice and patient and made me and my sister laugh. This location needs more people like Caleb. Any time i've had an issue, management has been quick to resolve any issues. Tips: I would recommend not coming close to closing as your fries portion will be small (understandable) i'm sure they're not making extras as they're ready to close. Hot Coffee is rarely available at night, it's a 10-15 minute wait for a cup of hot coffee. (no we don't have them make it) make sure to use the Chick Fil A app! it pays back for you going to chick fil a and you get free food! :) read more

Never go to this Chick-fil-A. There's always a situation with the food either it comes out cold or it's delayed. I didn't even get everything that I ordered and the manager was extremely rude about it in the process each time, two times I've come to this location. It's consistently and coincidentally slow, but I see that people are just purely staying away from this one not a good location to go to. read more

Pretty bad location in an always busy parking lot next to a Target. Orders take a long time to come out here and the typical experience is stand and wait. I see a lot of people just standing around waiting for their orders. Even if you order ahead with the app your order won't be put out so you can grab it yourself, you have to wait your turn to talk to the one person in charge of pickup orders and show them your order. I ended up waiting 15 minutes just for fries after ordering ahead of coming here and this was before 11 AM! Some things worth noting: Prices have gone up in a significant way. A chicken sandwich used to be under $4 not long ago and is now at least $7! A large fry here is the equivalent of a Medium at McDonald's. Overall I will be avoiding this location and Chick-fil-A in general. read more

I love this location however I was pretty disappointed today when they forgot to include my nuggets in my bag after I asked them if everything was in there since I had 2 separate orders and the employee said yes. I was looking forward to my meal after a long day with a sick newborn. read more

Excellent service! Polite and speedy. I can honestly say I never had poor quality food at a Chick Fil A before - ever. Except today at this one. Fries not salted Nuggets were cold Chicken on the deluxe burger overcooked - dried out and slight burnt taste Even the root beer soda was off - not enough syrup. Was slightly bitter. Send this mgmt team back to corporate hq's for training. lol Sad. read more

my experiance at this chick-fil-a was nothing short of absurd. the service was nauseating and the mac n cheese was colder than the ice burg that sunk the titanic. The food is fine! The service is perfect! The prices are reasonable! The people do a great job of keeping it clean.....BUT, the material on the top of the booths is filthy!!!! I do not think that it would be possible to clean it. I would say take it out and BURN IT! Replace it with something that is cleanable! It is that bad! Pretty disorganized placed. I ordered 30 min online and when I got there no one came to assist me. I stopped Sydney and asked about my order. She went to check but then she got distracted by the manager a female Asian lady who move her to another location and she was slapping her hands to everyone to keep moving. I'm sure can't blame Sydney too much but as I started watching her she did seem to try to slip away from working. Anyway a tall guy asked me if i needed help and he checked the computer and said somehow they didn't make it because the computer sometimes missed it? Asking if I did something with the mobile order like it was my fault but I paid for it 30'mim ago and got a confirmation. They didn't apologize like I would imagine something comp or something like telling everyone on the line yo get my order done immediately but Instead waited another 17 min. --UNBELIEVABLE! read more

I'm so looking forward to my first time trying Chick-fil-A , unfortunately, it tasted not good, nuggets was too salty, the deluxe hamburger was even more salty. The food here is like any other chick fil a so that's good. Everything else is so poor, the restaurant is gross, they only have two dirty restrooms. Ordered breakfast for 12 adults for a work related event. Order was placed the morning of. Picked up 30 minutes later curbside. $150 worth of breakfast sandwiches, drinks and sides. They were prompt, courteous and friendly. Aside from that, they were also helpful. I have breakfast meetings semi regularly. The group was excited when they saw what was brought for them. My mom and I went there and she said good morning to all three of the workers and none of them said hi or hello back, they basically cut her off reading our order back to us. None of them said "my pleasure or have a good day" back. I was shocked because they're usually so friendly. read more

I've never eaten at Chick-fil-a and they don't have one in Hawaii. My impression of the one In Escondido is clean, quick, food is tasty and employees are service oriented. It was packed even at 2:15 in the afternoon. To me it's a sign of food management when you have sincerely happy employees. I look forward to a restaurant in Hawaii soon. read more

Normally I wouldn't review a fast food chain, but I was very impressed today. I had an absolute shit day at work, I was driving home tired, stressed, and hungry. I decided Chick-Fil-A was quick and easy. I go through the drive-thru and get approached by a young man named KJ. This dude has such energy, so much positivity in his attitude it somehow made my day better almost instantly. I don't know why, I can't explain it, but this dude lifted my spirits just by being himself. I doubt he even knows the impact he had on me by just simply being the way he is. Chick-Fil-A always has amazing people with outstanding attitudes working there. I don't know what it is about the culture there that makes their employees standout among the rest, but I think they really do. I hope KJ's managers see this and give the man props. read more

Not my local CFA but I was driving thru Escondido and wanted a quick breakfast... Pulled into the drive thru lane with just 2 cars in line. The guy standing out taking the orders seemed very confused and unorganized. After about spending 10 minutes on one car, the line behind me started to stack up, I was basically trapped. So after a 20 min wait on the first two cars he comes up to me. I ask if he was "ok" and he mumbled something weird. I didnt get any of the typical chipper CFA talk... So I ordered an egg white grill and coffee , he says they are out of eggs. Fine - just get me a bfast sammich without eggs- chicken biscuit... I get up to the window and the entire staff inside was acting confused. The guy hands me a bag and says thanks... Dude wheres my coffee? "oh yeah"... There's a manager yelling at the employees inside about coffee and whatnot. Totally strange. I pull out to the parking lot and discover they gave me the wrong order and overcharged me by a few bucks... Total sh.show. I wont go back to this one. read more

I WILL NEVER BE BACK HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went literally a few minutes before closing time and I ordered a soup like I always do, I was starving, the thing was literally three spoonfuls of noodles and one piece of chicken,I ALWAYS GET THE SOUP , I got a bowl, the portion of a cup was way more then what I received. i honestly think they gave me what was left , I noticed when I got home, and I could not go back to return it because they had already closed, I'm small bodied so haha that wasn't the issue, I complained and the manager or whoever is in charge said that did not happen. What the hell? How did it not? Anywho I will never be back to this chick fil a and the customer service was horrible I am now taking this complaint to corporate, or higher since the email that I received said they basically said I lied.Very unprofessional for a manager or who ever is in charge. read more

I had to repeat my order three times to a human. Not complicated. Spicy chicken with bacon, cheese lettuce and tomato. NO PICKLES. They forget the lettuce and tomato. Not a fan of this chick fil a when comparing it to the other spots I've been to. Every time I come here no matter the time, there's a long wait for my order. Before I didn't mind it but a couple days ago, I had a bad experience while coming here at night. While we were ordering and the guy at the drive thru was giving us a rushing tone at the start of taking our order and basically was trying to pick for us what we wanted. For an $8 item that was never provided, a simple refund or replacement would have gone a long way. The food itself was average, but the customer service was enough that we won't be returning. There are plenty of other places nearby that value their customers and stand behind their orders. Based on our experience, we can't recommend this restaurant. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to correct a simple mistake left a very poor impression, and the staff could benefit from better customer service training.

I was the one who had to say "hi," and even then, there was just an awkward stare with no response. I eventually had to say, "I'm here for pickup." That was such an uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience. I actually have interacted with this same server before. During a previous dine-in visit, there was a male employee and her working the floor. The male employee appeared to be doing pretty much everything, while she seemed more interested in being on her phone. Seeing the same lack of attentiveness again this time was very disappointing. I worked as a server myself for over 7 years while I was in school, so I understand that restaurants can get busy and that everyone has off days. But greeting customers and acknowledging them when they walk in is basic customer service. A simple "Hi, how can I help you?" would have made a huge difference. Between the poor food quality this time and the disappointing service, we probably won't be coming back. It's unfortunate because we've enjoyed the food here before, but the experience matters just as much as the food.

I usually never write reviews on places but this is the 3rd time I have been to this chick fil a here and all 3 times the food was just gross! All 3 times I noticed my chicken breading was way darker than normal and almost burnt tasting and the chicken was soooo dry (contrary to the other locations I have been to) and the fries were soggy with the same burnt oil taste. Last time they got my order wrong and I didn't realize it until I got home. I called and the manager was very apologetic which I appreciate but couldn't really explain the continued bad taste of the oil. It must be either too hot, old or they are re frying the food! I love chick fil a but not this one. I would rather drive to Carmel mountain or San Marcos. I was excited to see one opening in Escondido but it has seriously let me down. I don't get it because the San Marcos location is great and they are owned by the same people! Such a bummer! read more

10/8/16- they ran out of root beer. Also the booth seats were so dirty that we had to clean them. See the napkin picture for details. Unfortunately I have to downgrade another star. Also I found out that if you don't buy something, you can't use the bathroom. Weird. I like the food. However this particular Chik fil a continues to miss the mark on 'attention to detail'. On our first visit, they gave us s cold sandwich (and wrong sandwich) in the drive through. We shared our concern and were given a coupon for less value than what we spent. On our most recent visit to the drive through, they forgot to give us straws for our shakes. Store (inside)- 5/5 nice and new Service (inside and drive through) - 3/5 spotty. I had a great experience at this Chick-fil-A thanks to Maya! From the moment I walked up to order, she was incredibly attentive and helpful. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood all the options without making me feel rushed. Food was also delicious as always. They ignored us in the drive thru for five minutes they gave me the wrong cheese nearly forgot the juice in my kids meal (I had to remind them several times) and I'm not going back because of all times it's got to always be the worst time and they closed by the time I got home to notice so I can't even call and go back for it to be fixed. I visited this place a few days ago. I had a coupon for a free chicken delux sandwich. I order a meal plus a salad and the extra sandwich. I forgot to give the cashier my coupon, when I told her about she was polite and still refunded me the difference with no complaint. I like the professionalism they display. Like all Arbys they have great lighting from tons of windows and a less cramped drive thru than most. They seem to be heavier handed with the meats than other locations and they are the only national ff chain that has cooper sharp, which any Philly Cheesesteak fan knows well. I usually order my 5lb bricks online, but if I just need some of that tang I'll come here. Prices are inflating, as are all fast food, but like everyone else they have rewards. I just don't like how their rewards expire quickly. Often times being available less than a week. I feel less bloated and gross with their fries than from other curly fries. Their cheesesteak is the best of any fast food chain and even better than some restaurants. I'd say it's the 5th best cheesesteak in San DIego. I love how soft their buns are and their rolls have chew and are seeded. Their soda fountains always hit and are never out or low. I'm always getting it to go on my way to work or errands. Getting in and out of the shopping center can be a little challenging, but it's near Center City Parkway and the 15 and 78 freeways.
