Family meal with ribs and chicken and 5 sides.

The smell that wafts into the BJS parking lot is what got me here. Also the Bjs employee highly endorsed them! We got one of the family meals to go and it was a ton of food! All delicious, nicely packaged and just a delight. Service was friendly at pickup. Only wish we could a tres leches slice to go too!

Pork Chop's BBQ in Flemington,NJ is your go to place if you're craving for BBQ's ( Portuguese style ). There's a lot of dishes to pick and for surely you'll enjoy the quality of their foods plus the friendly staff and quality service. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll smell all the kinds of meat that they're grilling on charcoal pit. You'll be amazed on how they are doing it there in front of customers. To see is to believe. Price is reasonable, foods are delicious and very good customer service. We had been here many times already. Common, give it a try and you'll never regret it.

3/4 of our Full Rack Pork Ribs BBQ were inedible. Super charred and dry. Disappointing.

Pork chop bbq. Needs to do better. The ribs should not have been released to the customer.

This is the second Portuguese Barbecue spot in Flemington that I've tried and I really enjoyed this place! I think I prefer this one. Online ordering is available and was very easy. My takeout order was ready on time. It seems like it's largely a takeout pot but there is seating inside and it's very casual. There was couple enjoying their food with a bottle of wine when I walked in for my takeout order, though. We tried the BBQ chicken with Spanish rice and plantains, the steak with rice and cornbread and the pork ribs with plantains and black beans. We loved the tenderness of the chicken but didn't love the heavy smokey flavor that came along with it. Maybe the Hawaiian chicken will be different? The steak was seasoned really well, very garlicky, but wish it was a little more tender. The pork ribs were very tender and delicious. The rice was perfect and the plantains were amazing. I only wish they gave you a larger portion of the plantains. We also tried the beef empanadas and they were good too. The crust was very crispy. The cornbread side portion was huge, moist and flavorful and had bits of whole corn throughout. The black beans were standard and good. Next time I'll try the steamed veggies with garlic as a side. The overall portion sizes were huge and each meal is enough for two people or one really hungry person with some leftovers. This is a great way to have a semi home cooked meal as takeout.

Really delicious Portuguese BBQ. Came in for the first time and wanted to try everything on the menu! The service was very friendly and polite. Spacious location where there are some tables for sit down or take out. The smell of BBQ was so enticing as if you were at a family BBQ gathering. Definitely will be coming again and trying the other options!

    Fatty meat.

Ordered takeout from Porkchop's because Flemington was closed. I ordered pork and shrimp picadinho. While the taste was decent, the meat was very fatty. Low quality meat, unlike the cubes most places provide. Also, the restaurant had a fly problem. Would not return.

Great lunch place. Excellent bbq. My favorite is the brisket sandwich, so tender, juicy and flavorful.

We've passed this spot so many times and never went in. Wellll, we finally had the chance to swing by and eat in because some of this food is not meant to be eaten as take out. I ordered the short ribs with Hawaiian bbq with fries. My husband ordered ribs with chicken. I think our eyes ordered and not our stomachs because the portions are HUGE. If you want to get a flavor of stuff, certainly order what you want but you'll definitely have leftovers. The portions are big enough to share that's for sure. The ribs were pretty good and so was the chicken. I enjoyed the short ribs and Hawaiian bbq...both had lots of flavor. Some part of the short ribs were a bit chewy but otherwise really good! The mound of fries were really crispy and the plantains were delicious. Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

Came across this place in DoorDash and tried it out since I was pressed for time during our move to Flemington. This place is great! Portions are big and every bite is delish! I ended up ordering the family meal which came with 6 sides. I was very surprised that they sell Filipino egg roll here... SCORE! I will definitely order from them again!

Randomly found this place on my way back to Philly and it HIT THE SPOT! It's nothing sexy at all, but the food was amazing and the people we're friendly. Meat on a stick was cooked to perfection, the cornbread was moist, and I always love me some fried plantains. I'm not usually out this way but the next time I am you'll find me here. Definitely check out this spot and enjoy the meat sweats. :-)

Randomly stopped here while driving through the area, and glad we did! The meat tasted fresh, was cooked hot and flavorful. We tried the pork sticks, which were great the beef ribs were flavorful, but lacking meat. The cornbread was moist and the plantains sweet!

Even though I am a Louis Prima fan (sorry for the obscure reference) the bone to meat ratio just doesn't make up for the higher fat content. At least for me. This guys ribs changed that. You don't eat these ribs so much as you hold them up and allow the meat to dive into your mouth like an Olympian off the 10 meter platform. They are that good. And I have eaten enough brisket in my life that writing a review including a reference to pork is probably something I shouldn't do publicly, but his is top notch. Lastly, I come on this site and often see reviews regarding the personal nature of the proprietor of the business, which are sometimes so vicious and misplaced, it is not a mystery why the writers of South Park want to feed some of the members of this site what they want to feed them. To that end, if you have a problem with either Dan or his staff, I would have to say that the problem is most likely with you. They couldn't be nicer, more courteous and helpful. I know that sounds like a lot for serving somebody BBQ but those fairgrounds on a weekend can be a certified nuthouse. At no time did I see anyone lose their patience or desire to help the customers. Five stars all the way.

My husband ordered a cookies and cream milkshake. He also said it was made really well and was not too sweet. Just a clean creamy cookie flavor. Of course we had to try the doughnuts. I ordered an apple and a chocolate with sprinkles. The apple was really good! It was freshly baked, and the filling was delicious and had a nice cinnamon flavor. The chocolate was also very good! They are big donuts too! 2 for $5. Now to the delicious soft pretzels! They are freshly baked, soft, buttery, and delicious!!! You can also get them in garlic, cinnamon, and sour cream and onion. Or a buffet that no longer buffets. But pizza is a big part of their menu and a lot of people order it. I can tell you, from sight alone... I wouldn't call it pizza. It's cheese, toppings, and an extremely flat crust that I can only imagine crunches to smithereens. So I went very much with not pizza. Fortunately, the menu goes many other directions. I got a hot chicken sandwich with Cajun fries, basically regular fries with a little seasoning sprinkled on (not baked in). Took a little while to get to us, but once it did, I was impressed with the spice level. This is not for the faint of tongue. The fries were perfectly cooked, but I would say just get plain fries if that's your vibe. I could have upgraded to onion rings or similar, wasn't feeling quite hungry enough for that venture. Verdict: I don't know. It's not a diner. It's not a pizzeria. Definitely seemed kid-friendly. I think my date liked this place more than I did. So again, I'll go with the balance and stick 4 stars on the wall. Could return, not sure what else in Flemington might attract (seems fairly restaurant-barren).
