Chic fil a Folsom has gone downhill in the past year. Staff and management do not reflect the image that has been the company model of courteous and friendly. The food is still great but the service is lacking customer orientation. When a mistake is made taking an order the customer is blamed. I'm on vacation from my job (at CFA in Virginia) and decided to see how west coast chick fil a's are. I am extremely disappointed with the food and staff. My CFA was served cold and my fries were served dry and cold. There were three shift leaders messing around before finally taking my order (there was no one in line before me). I sat in the back corner of the store next to the play place, and I could hear the shift leads in the kitchen listening to music aloud, talking very loudly and on their phones while working. Chick-fil-A is one of my favorite lunchtime places to go however I was told today I could not order my fries extra crispy. Their fries are too soggy and for some reason they continue to make them that way they need to cook them a little longer in order for them to be truly enjoyable. While we were waiting for our order a young lady working there (Sadie) was cleaning the dining area while keeping friendly conversation with us. 15 min in the drive thru for my favorite market salad. Get home to EDH and NO blue cheese?! It's the best part of the salad. I called, long automated message to hit 1 and reach the store. The you g man has to ask the manager if they can get my a side of blue cheese. I can get it. I drive back to chick fil and it's dinner rush now, with easy 60 cars. I wait in the parking lot by the Mobile order pick up, I didn't see anyone come out with the blue cheese. The Mobile order employee checks in with me and I tell her I'm just waiting for my side of blue cheese. She assures me they will bring it out. 10 more min go by. She asks if I'm still waiting... yep!!! She tells another employee 'Luke' who runs in to get it and hustles back out to me. Finally after at least 15 min. I navigated getting out of the parking lot of dozens of cars.. and drove back to EDH and I was happy to finally have my favorite salad with the best part...The blue cheese!! Always a delicious meal everytime i go. Today was complete chaos inside the store. There was no where to sit so we had to wait for a table. We saw people sitting at a four person table where there would be two people. They definitely got our food out quick and it was fresh. They are extremely efficient on getting orders out and getting the customers what they want. They will even get you a refill or napkins without you leaving your table. They need a bigger lobby with more seats to seat more people. Even the seats outside were all full. I heard another mom talking to her husband aboit how she couldnt find a table and we gave her ours because we were done. The kiddo couldn't even play because there were to many kids and the kids were to big playing in the play area. Overall the food is delicious and they get it out quick but it just tends to be extremely busy to where you cant find a seat. read more

After spending almost an hour inside Home Depot (read my other reviews to see why, a HORRIFIC experience with realtors & sellers & a home inspector) I needed to go for a jog and burn off stress. I went thru the drive-thru for their frosted coffee shake. I needed to drink it quick so I could start my run, so I asked if they could water it down by adding 2 inches of hot coffee. Tyler did it for me & I guess some coffee splashed out onto his shirt which made me feel bad, so I'm writing this review so Tyler knows the coffee shake was PERFECT & I truly appreciate it!!! My husband and I were out later than normal after leaving some friends' house and we were hungry but I didn't feel like cooking dinner or going to a restaurant where were would have to wait a long time to get our meal. We had heard a lot of good things about Chick-fil-A in Folsom so we decided to try it out, even though I am especially anti-fast food. I was NOT expecting to like this place, but wow, I was impressed. First of all, they have super friendly, polite, happy employees. We were greeted by all 3 people we saw and they actually seemed genuinely happy to help us and to be working there. Second, I liked that we could place our order with a real person right in front of us who was making suggestions on what to order (it was our first time at a Chick-fil-A and we went through the drive-thru) and we paid right there, we didn't just talk to a screen and then drive up and pay at the window. It was a little more personalized that way, Ana they even asked for our name for the order which I liked. Third, the food was actually amazing. Best chicken sandwich I have ever had at a fast food place and my husband said his was way better than any chicken sandwich he has ever gotten from an actual sit down, non-fast food restaurant (I totally agree). Everything was SUPER hot and fresh, not greasy, seasoned well but not overkill, and we split a vanilla shake that was super basic but delicious and hit the spot. It was a great first experience and although we try not to eat fast food (ever), we would definitely go here again... like maybe even tomorrow, hahaha. read more

Not what it once was. Ordered a sandwich without pickles, not so uncommon. The sandwich I received was just one that they took the pickles off of. Funny how pickles have juice, which defeats asking for no pickles. Informed the manager afterwards and she could not have cared less. This place is a zoo, I can't believe how many people you can pack in here on a Weekday lunch rush. Parking was insane, almost didn't go but I persevered. I order the grilled sandwich with some tenders. The sandwich was ok but I think it was microwaved. The tenders were definitely microwaved. I ordered the grilled tenders. I would say only come here if you want a FRIED chicken food product, the grilled is microwaved. The sauces were great and the staff was very pleasant. I was just bummed that I spent over 13 bucks on a microwaved lunch. Also I had a salad before and it is a prepackaged preservative type. This Chick-fil-A is wonderful. It is very involved in the community events and also hosts story time with characters, superhero nights, and family nights. It hires local students and then puts the effort to train them in customer service and work ethic. The inside is very clean and has fresh flowers on the tables. Usually the manager is around and making sure everything is okay and if you need refills on drinks. Food is always fresh and the waffle fries are crispy. Lots of different dipping sauces to choose from as well. I love the bagel breakfast sandwich but sometimes the bagel can be over toasted. I am very glad this location is so close to home. read more

It is odd that I would consider a "fast food" restaurant even capable of a 5 star rating. If this was based on food alone it would be a 3 star. Here's the reason for a 5 star..... I walked in on a busy after holiday lunch rush. The place was packed and there was a line to the door. I was hard pressed to find a table as my sister waited in line. I snagged one right as someone was leaving and before I could sit down and nice young man wiped the table clean. I know that seems silly but it was clear they were on top of things. Despite the packed place and long lines our food came fast and hot. I must be impressed easily these days. OK the icing. Not only did the manager check on us as we were eating but he checked on us as we finished making sure everything was to our liking. Good food. The Southwestern Salad has really good flavor and there is a wide variety of Salad dressings. The yogurt cup is also very good served with fresh fruit and your choice of either cookie or granola topping. The lemonade is delicious. The food seems very fresh and the staff is very respectful to the customer. The very first time I ever ate here, I HATED it. Like right when it opened. But that didn't deter me from trying it again. I've being going to this location for years for both dinner and breakfast. All of the food I've tried is delicious, well made, fresh, and hot. My fave is the cool wrap and #1 chicken sandwich. I'm never disappointed here. I would like to say thank you mom for the signed Pete Rose bat and thank you Chick-fil-A corporation for the new, closer to home chicken nugget dispenser. It's a toss up on which gift I am the most excited about, but chicken biscuit in hand and we'll go with the new Chick-fil-A for now. Some of my earliest and fondest memories take me back to the days when a trip to the mall meant an inevitable stop at the Chick-fil-A for an "original" chicken sandwich, a breaded chicken fillet with pickles on a bun. The were the days before the "deluxe," an original add lettuce and a tomato, the spicy, the non-breaded char-grilled, the strips, the nuggets, or the chicken biscuit. Regardless of the form, fashion or supporting cast, the chicken here can't be beat. The chicken is flavorful and is always tender and moist. My personal favorite is the chicken nuggets and why wouldn't they be from the place that is credited with their invention. There is a good reason no one nugget ever looks the same and anywhere that has nuggets that are all the same size and shape should be in question. Then you've got the always crisp, ever so perfectly cooked, just a little skin left on the edges, waffles fries. I am a big fan. If it's breakfast time, the chicken biscuit is the only way to go. Add a little grape jelly and it's happy chicken biscuit birthday breakfast to me today. Yeah it sounds just a little strange, but is a surprisingly good combination. In a world of seemingly the same, bland quick serve places, it's good to see something different and Chick-fil-A is a welcome addition. read more

Stopped by the Folsom location on the way to Lake Tahoe. I was very surprised with the quality of a fast food restaurant. Grilled chicken sandwich was really good . Chicken wasn't greasy or heavy on sauce . Lettuce and tomato in it are very fresh. Just right. Waffle fries was tasty too. Even though it is deep fried, I didn't notice much oil in it. Vanilla shake was good, not too sweet. Service is friendly and fast . Good prices. Not bad for a quick stop to eat. read more

Wow. All I can say is wow. Been to this location a couple times for lunch and was impressed with clean facilities, better than average chicken for fast food and unique menu. Today however was a big wake up call. Needed a quick bite for breakfast and saw last time they had oatmeal. Looked good on the menu so I trued it this time. Got it to go, but wish I would've looked before I left. Check out my picture. I don't think I could've done worse if I burned it myself on my own stove. Looked like oatmeal AFTER your done eating it. My spoon could barely break the surface. Only tried a little bit and it tasted and felt like what I can only assume prison porridge tastes like. I know it's only oatmeal at a "chicken fast food" joint. And I know fast food always looks better in pictures than in real life but c'mon, this is just too much. Happily threw it away. Doubt even a homeless guy would touch it. Thank goodness it only cost $3-even though a meal with fruit and coffee was $8 (wtf!?)-so I didn't feel too bad throwing my hard earned money away.
